“Writing with powerful intensity, Alison Kent mesmerizes us with a compelling love story brimming with scorching sensuality and abiding love.” – RT Book Reviews, 4.5 stars, TOP PICK“It’s up to you.”How could a four-word invitation scribbled on a business card drive a normally sensible woman to be so impulsive? It wasn’t Harley Golden’s style to call a perfect stranger. But here she was, after a … call a perfect stranger. But here she was, after a brief encounter on a flight home from a business trip, indulging in—and enjoying—risque phone calls with the man who’d handed her his card: the unforgettable and mysterious… and obviously—loaded Gardner Barnes.
The late-night conversations aren’t enough for long, however, but she’s not sure she’s ready for more. So what’s next? Fly across Texas in his plane? Talk face-to-face? Fall head over heels for a man who is already married to his ranch? A man who has lust down to an art but doesn’t believe in love?

Too unrealistic
My heart was singing as I read the last pages of this book. Two people so worthy of each other. This author doesn’t need erotica to hold a story together. She knows how to depict a depth of love others hint at. Wonderful.
An unexpected pleasant surprise.
The writing was stilted, especially the dialogue. Worse was all the typos. So many missing periods! It was really distracting. I couldn’t finish and I usually like this author.
I was not able to relate to the characters.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a no put down book fun to read and relaxing. The characters came right off the page and into my bedroom as I read. Great stuff all around.
Fun read with a quickly building storyline.
I really enjoyed this book.
Just finished the book, original story line
I am ordering the younger brother’s (Tyler) story next. These characters are so endearing and real that I didn’t want to stop reading about them! Finding the perfect soul mate is a difficult thing to do. Thank goodness Gardner takes a chance and Harley does, too!!
Enjoyed it a lot togther with the second one in the series!
I loved this book. Couldn’t put it down. Finished in one day.
Loved that the main characters did not allow their upbringing to define their future. Took him awhile to get there though.
Loved this book and I’m currently enjoying the next!
I enjoyed reading this because it provided some next tied twists.
It was so good & funny in parts..because of it, I bought other books by this author.
Loved this book
This book is everything you want in a really good romance novel. It is happy and sad and funny and seriously tugs at your heart strings. This book made my top 5 favorite books ever now. I can’t get over how good it is. Tanner is the man we all wish we had, even through troubling times.
Oops, be careful what you wish for. Taming of the male ego.
A standalone read with a HEA. A bit steamy with sexy talking. They spot each other on a plane. As they deplane, he hands her a business card with the note, “it is up to you. Call me”. She doesn’t plan to but she finally does. Call me becomes the theme throughout the story. The sexy talk is a turn on and before you know it these two are falling for each other. He is everything she has ever wanted and he knows she is the only one for him. Of course there are issues and they will have to work through his issues as well as hers. But the journey is delicious. it is a fun, entertaining read. No bad guys, no violence, no drugs, no thugs, just two people getting to know each other and deciding what they want in their lives. A great story and I definitely recommend it. Set in Texas he is a bull breeder rancher and she owns an antique store in Houston. Both very successful in their chosen fields.
Good side characters.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 8/3/18
