“Writing with powerful intensity, Alison Kent mesmerizes us with a compelling love story brimming with scorching sensuality and abiding love.” – RT Book Reviews, 4.5 stars, TOP PICK“It’s up to you.”How could a four-word invitation scribbled on a business card drive a normally sensible woman to be so impulsive? It wasn’t Harley Golden’s style to call a perfect stranger. But here she was, after a … call a perfect stranger. But here she was, after a brief encounter on a flight home from a business trip, indulging in—and enjoying—risque phone calls with the man who’d handed her his card: the unforgettable and mysterious… and obviously—loaded Gardner Barnes.
The late-night conversations aren’t enough for long, however, but she’s not sure she’s ready for more. So what’s next? Fly across Texas in his plane? Talk face-to-face? Fall head over heels for a man who is already married to his ranch? A man who has lust down to an art but doesn’t believe in love?

A happy find on BookBub for free. Will be reading more of this writer.
Very captivating. Wonderful characters. Fabulous storyline. Romantic ending. Great book.
This story of two beautifully broken individuals connecting, both wanting what the other won’t give and the final understanding that what they won’t give up is in fact what they want and need the most. I devoured this book. Not sure what rock I’ve been under to have not read Ms Kent’s work before but happy to see daylight now. The writing style is lyrical, rhythmic at times, beautifully descriptive and envelopes the reader, pulling you deeper into the story.
Easy and interesting.
Boring, i coudn’t finish it
predictable…nice quick read. LOL funny at times.
Beautiful
They both didn’t have the traditional love of parents and they met in an airplane. But something draws them together. She needs love and he needs to learn how to have it.
Loved this book!
Tried to give this one a chance but just didn’t like either character and ended up not finishing
Great premise to start a relationship.
A sweet book that has a typical happily ever after ending….not at all realistic though. But don’t we read and wish things really worked out this way?
Great characters, but got the cart before the horse.
Enjoyed both main characters. Story held my interest.
I loved this book. So endearing and realistic.
Very predictable
Virtually no plot; just a lot of sex scenes
All around good read
Quick easy Rwandans very enjoyable
Did not like the creepy approach to finding a true love.
