Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels.
Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He’s been in love with his best friend—saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark—forever. But Ben’s a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When … been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own—to a different town.
Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she’s crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she’ll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on.
But when a baby is left on Ben’s front porch—a baby that is presumably his—Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after… just not one either of them expects.

If you are looking for a book with all the feels then this is the book for you. I laughed, cried and found myself saying what the fuck. Ben Dalton has been in love with his best friend Aurelia Stark for quite a while but never had the balls to tell her. Aurelia has felt the same way but never told him for fear of ruining their friendship.
After sleeping over at his house she tells him she will go and get them breakfast. Instead of getting breakfast she finds a baby in a basket on his front steps with a note saying she is his. Unable to believe he has a baby they bring the baby in and try to figure out what to do. Neither of them have a clue as to how to take care of a baby but Ben begs Aurelia to stay and help him out.
During the process of finding out he is the father and figuring out who the mother is they both fall in love with baby Bea and reveal their true feelings for each other. Their families are excited to learn that Ben and Aurelia are finally together and that there is a baby in the family.
Bea’s mother finds herself on Ben’s doorstep wanting to see her and explain herself. Afraid she is there to take Bea away Ben refuses to see her and slams the door in her face but not before she tells him where she is staying. After talking it over with Aurelia and family he decides to go and see her to find out why she just left their daughter on his doorstep.
This book had me laughing and crying. I’m sure at some point you find yourself saying oh I have been there before. Even tho in the beginning Ben and Aurelia have no idea what to do with or for Bea you can see their never ending love for her and how they want only the best for her
When best friends are in love with each other but don’t tell the other one can cause hard feelings. They both fear if they tell the other one how they really feel, it’ll be cause of a friendship break up and neither want that. The timing always seem to be off for these two.
I absolutely loved Ben and Aurelia as a couple and as individuals. When Ben is left the unexpected gift of a baby, they’re both all thumbs (Ben is super adorable and cute in this capacity) but then they turn it all around. They read everything they can about parenting and Ben can’t put the baby down no matter what. Super cute and swoon worthy.
When Ben finally admits how he really feels to Rels will she believe it’s about the baby or is he finally admitting that he feels the same way she does? What will her heart believe?
Ben Dalton is an ultra swoon-worthy father. When sweet baby B is left on his door step and he gets over the initial fear of a baby, he becomes super dad and instantly falls in love with the sweet baby. Not only his is falling for Baby B, but also his best friend, Aurelia. At least he is finally admitting to her that he wants her and wants a relationship.
I LOVED every single moment of this book. From the very first word to the final word I was completely hooked on this story.
Ben and Aurelia’s friendship is truly beautiful. I love that these two would do anything for each other and how much they will do for each other. Their first interactions with Baby B had me laughing at times. They were so clueless at times, it led to some priceless and sweet moments. I LOVE the entire Dalton family and I can’t wait for more of these characters and this town in future books. They are hilarious and their love for each other is great.
This story was unexpected in so many ways for me. It was sweet, romantic, swoony, but it was also emotional in some parts. I wasn’t expecting this to be so emotional but it was perfect for the story.
Whether you’ve read Melissa Foster or not this is one friends to lovers romance that you will want to check out!
I was so excited when I got the email to sign up to read Call Her Mine! I loved the Sugar Lake Series and getting to go back and visit the Dalton’s for a while was great!
Ben and Aurelia’s story was an absolute joy to read! I love a romance between a genuinely nice man and a sweet woman. Melissa Foster continues her streak of creating just that!
Wonderful main characters. Equally wonderful secondary characters.
Passion.
Humor.
And always just enough heartbreak to make the happy ever after that much sweeter!
I Ben Dalton! And I think you will too!
/5 as per usual from Melissa Foster.
This is a book you won’t want to miss!
4 stars
All the feels for Melissa Foster’s new book, Call Her Mine.
What’s the zip code for the friend zone? Because that’s where Aurelia and Ben live and they needed to get a clue in the beginning of this book. They’re both so in love with each other it’s ridiculous but blinded by their best friends status.
Ben is an incredibly hard working, very successful businessman taking the saying “to get over a girl, get under another one” to heart. He’s a little bit of a playboy but it’s to keep him from reaching for the one he really wants and then messing everything up. Aurelia is his best friend, she’s everything and he couldn’t bear it if someone happened to their friendship. Wouldn’t you know it, Aurelia feels exactly the same way. Deciding that she’s waited long enough for Ben to step up, she decides to move away and open a bookstore but lately it’s seems Ben’s doing everything in his power to keep her tied to his side.
The newest complication to their lives shows up on his doorstep with a bottle, a bib and a basket??! A baby! Baby B was an adorable addition to this story and effortlessly brought together our two love birds! Family oriented story with super hot sexy times! Great book, can’t wait for the next book!

What a perfect start to the new Harmony Pointe Series. If friends to lovers is a genre you enjoy then look no further than Call Her Mine it’s a story that has it all as two best friends become so much more when a baby is left on one of their doorsteps……
Ben Dalton may think he is being honest with everyone but truth be told he has hidden his true feelings for his best friend Aurelia Stark for many years….
Aurelia loves her new life in the small town of Harmony Pointe, she has a great apartment and is running her own bookstore and best of all the love of her life is no longer living just around the corner. Maybe now she can start her own life and move on without Ben always popping up…
But what happens when a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep… yes you guessed it Aurelia once again comes to her best friends rescue will the time they spend together finally convince them of the love the both feel for each other ………
This is one of the best friends to lovers books I have read this year, a couple that have been friends since teenagers both haven hidden their true feelings finally get a chance at love as they care for the adorable baby who depends on them. A great start to the new series and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the charming town of Harmony Pointe.
To say I had a good time reading this one would be putting it mild, it was fantastic! Ben and Aurelia have been the best of friends but they both have stronger feelings but have never told each other but the a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep and it seems to be the perfect time for Ben to finally come “clean” and profess his love and wouldn’t you know Relsie feels the same! Will playing house make it real or too scary for them and what about when Ben’s big family gets involved. This was definitely a fun read! I am looking forward to more of this family!
I enjoyed Call Her Mine. The beginning and end of Ben and Aurelia’s story were great, but the middle was a little drawn out. I would have preferred a little more angst, but overall it was a good story and the epilogue was amusing.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster is book One in the Harmony Pointe Series. This is the story of Aurelia Stark and Ben Dalton.
Aurelia and Ben have been friends forever but neither knew of the others feeling for them being more. Aurelia never thought Ben felt more for her than their strong friendship. Ben felt like he never got the perfect moment to express how he feels but now Aurelia is planning on moving away to a near by town to open a bookstore. Next thing that happens to them is a baby is left with him and he needs help from Aurelia. Can this be the chance they need to come clean about their real feelings?
Loved their story and Ms. Foster’s writing!
This is the first of the new Harmony Pointe series but actually continues with the Dalton family we met in Sugar Lake. Ben and Aurelia finally find their HEA and open the door to a new world in Harmony Pointe.
Ben has always been her best friend. But she wants so much more. This prompts Aurelia to move away and try to start over. Little did she realize how much more Ben actually wanted from her. So he won’t let go that easy. But can they manage the future with a little bit of the past showing up and bringing big changes??
Love Melissa Foster’s stories and characters. Always love a good HEA. She never disappoints.
I love all kinds of books. Funny. Serious. Friends to lovers. Best friend’s brother. Secret baby/secret pregnancy. There is so much to enjoy, and I love them all, as long as they are romance! This author has so much to love about her books (I adored the Whiskeys!), and this one is at the top of the list! I’ve read books by this author before, and absolutely loved them. But this story grabbed my attention when I read the blurb, and I couldn’t get it in my hands fast enough!
Ben and Aurelie are best friends. Forever. Since childhood, type friends. But each has their own lives, their own secrets, and sometimes, secrets can throw your life into chaos. This story is all about how Ben’s little secret creates mayhem and destroys their well ordered lives!
I loved this story! I loved Ben and Aurelie’s “bad timing” that persists through out this book. It kept things interesting, and I never knew what was going to pop up next! And while this is the beginning of a new series, in a new town, and can totally stand on its own, there are characters from previous books that pop in here and there (Ben’s sisters from the Sugar Lake Series!) and now I definitely have to go back and read their stories! This author’s stories, so far, have been engrossing, and fun, and definitely addicting! I just can’t get enough!
Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster
Love in Bloom – Harmony Pointe #1
Aurelia and Ben have been friends forever but timing has never been right for them to be more than friends. They are both just about ready to declare their feelings when a baby in a basket is left on Ben’s doorstep. Aurelia is there for Ben as he navigates learning to be a father…and as she learns to be a mother and partner to Ben. She is busy starting her new shop but takes time for the baby that she is growing to love. Baby Bea is a delight but not easy and not knowing who the mother is, where she is and if she might return is a bit stressful. When she is finally found it is a mixed blessing although everyone believes Bea Jane Dalton is a gift beyond compare.
This author has created a series that has many branches and this is the first in a new offshoot that will no doubt continue to have previous characters come to visit and participate in whatever couple gets their story told. It is not necessary to have read previous books but this book might make you curious about who some of the other characters are and how they met their partners.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I like to read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake Romance and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
3-4 Stars
***5 ‘My World’ Stars***
Tears happened.
Ovaries exploding happened.
Snort/laughing definitely happened.
And swoons happened.
But the tears…UGH…I don’t tear up easily when reading, but with all that was going on ~ this baby just totally hit ALL the right buttons and more.
First things first. I have not read the Sugar Lake series, so this is the first time I’m experiencing the Dalton’s clan ~ well, there may have been a mention or two in another of the authors series, but for all intents and purposes, this is my first meet and greet with them ~ so I went in quite blind to all that was Ben and Aurelia and I ended up adoring them. They are both really good people with golden hearts and when you are one of theirs, they will move heaven and earth for you.
Their journey to their HEA, at least from where this book begins, was a surprisingly fun one. I know that doesn’t sound all that promising, but I was surprised at how they finally let each other know how they felt ~ pleasantly so. I didn’t expect it, but I loved it, especially because they actually communicated instead of having conversations in their heads with themselves and how they kept it quite drama free.
I know. You’re probably thinking…”Um…what about the baby situation?” Well, there was drama there, I mean, of course there was…a baby was left on the stairs, but it didn’t really ignite any angsty relationship drama. So as far as the ‘baby; goes. I loved how everything played out with that situation. There were a couple of twists in there I didn’t see coming, but it all worked for me in the end.
Being a #fangirl of the authors ~ even though I haven’t read ALL of her books ~ I thoroughly enjoyed Call Her Mine. It was funny, smexy and had just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting. It also had me getting teary ~ which was honestly unexpected, but the reason behind…well, I was absolutely understandable. As for the crazy cast of secondary characters ~ I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I am adding the Sugar Lake series to my never ending TBR list (gah…I NEED more hours in my day to read) but I will be keeping up with this series because I need more of the Dalton’s and their extended family!
Note: You do not need to read the Sugar Lake series to enjoy Call Her Mine, but you will meet all three couples and get a little insight into their own journey’s to their HEA’s

One of the best friends to lovers stories I have ever read!
This book has all the feels. It’s an amazing tale of how a tiny baby brings 2 best friends closer together to finally share the truth of their hearts.
I love how Ms. Foster makes her books real and believable by telling things that really happen and shows the true emotions between her characters. True, sometimes things aren’t always roses and hearts, but with open communication and trust, a couple who truly loves each other can get through anything.
I’ve loved every book I’ve read by this author and can’t wait to see what else happens in Harmony Pointe.
3.5 star for me.
This one was my first read from this author & I enjoyed it.
Ben and Aurelia have been best friends since they were teenagers. They’ve both harboured other stronger feelings but never acted on them for fear of ruining their friendship. Everything changes when Ben finds himself with a newborn infant to care for. Relationships shift and futures are adjusted. I enjoyed the story overall I just didn’t find myself totally connecting with the characters like I usually would in a small town romance.
5+ “Mine” stars
***ARC provided by NetGalley (Montlake Romance) with the help of Melissa’s amazing assistant and I’m leaving an honest review***
Call Her Mine is the first book in Melissa Foster’s new series called Harmony Pointe. I always enjoy Melissa Foster’s books and writing because she not only writes about love but also families and family / siblings’ relationships, forgiveness, life, struggles etc. and her books are so passionate, filled with love and heart. This book was not different. I liked everything about this book and writing which just flowed and had me engrossed to the story from start to finish wanting to find out what happens next. I enjoyed every minute of it and never wanted it to end. The synopsis is just the surface of what it is about. It has so much depth, powerful, effortless and awe inspiring writing. I loved that it was written in third person, dual POV so I know what both characters – Aurelia and Ben – were thinking at the specific time or moments. It was well developed, well written and well thought out. The author knew how to develop, create the storyline and make you fall in love with her words, plot and the characters demanding your attention. It was enjoyable read with so many twists and turns, while delivering an intense and passionate romance / love story between Ben and Aurelia that I devoured in one sitting. It was steamy, sweet, heartwarming, at times heartbreaking, but sexy, humorous, friends to lovers romance. The characters are brilliant, complex – layered and so likeable.
Aurelia and Ben were such a great characters and so amazing together. Their friends to lovers story and romance gave me all kinds of feels. I really loved their friendship and the flirty banter they had going on. They both have insecurities and their timing is a bit off but when they are together everything just makes sense, they are just perfect for each other and exactly what they need. Aurelia and Ben simply understand each other. They are each other’s match. I love their moments and dialogues, their easy going manner and flirty banter and sassiness. I love how they are just drawn to each other and that it’s impossible to deny. Their chemistry is off the charts and connection just beautiful. When they find a baby on Ben’s porch their life is changed in a different ways. I loved seeing Ben accepting and embracing fatherhood with Aurelia’s help and help of his family. Rels was also amazing with baby B: really loving and caring. Ben and Rels trying to navigate through their relationship while taking care of a baby was a beautiful sight. I loved how they blossomed and thrived even though life had thrown the quite a few obstacles. The epilogue was just beautiful, I wanted to last forever and to never let go of these amazing characters and world.
Secondary characters are also likable and add to the story and the main characters’ development. I loved Ben’s family and his sisters as much as I loved Rels’s grandmother. I can’t wait for the next book in this new series.
Two words: INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! It kept my attention at all times and I could not put it down. With an effortless writing, awe-inspiring detail, small town romance, the author takes us on an emotional and beautiful journey of the characters, struggles of the single father and a self-discovery of the characters. I highly recommend it.
Ben and Aurelia are best friends. He’s been in love with her for a long time, but it’s never been the right time to confess his love for her. She remedies that situation by moving away from him.
Aurelia has moved away from Ben. He’s her best friend, but she’s so in love with him and just can’t take being near him and not with him anymore.
When a baby is dropped on Ben’s front porch, Ben and Aurelia become closer and closer. Supposedly this is Ben’s baby, and Aurelia finds herself falling in love with the baby whether it’s his or not. What kind of mom leaves her baby on a porch?
This story grabbed me from the beginning! Such a sweet, hot, charming, tear at your heartstrings, can’t put it down story!! I look forward to see what else Harmony Pointe has in store!!
Call Her Mine (Harmony Pointe, #1) by Melissa Foster …Another great book by Melissa ..thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview it. It was great catching up with the Daltons and their wonderful friends. This is a best friends to lovers book.. we have Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark (Rels) they have been friends for ever….both in love with the other but the timing is always off. This book has all the feels, laughter, love, tears, mystery and lots of steamy sex …all leading to a very HEA… I am looking forward to more books in this series.
Anyone who has read previous works by this author has been waiting for Aurelia and Ben’s story and finally we get it in the start of the new Harmony Pointe series
They have always been best friends and they have always had stronger feelings about one another but neither was willing to risk their friendship by trying to step outside the friendship boundaries and make it more. To the point that Aurelia has finally moved away to try to get over him and have a life of her own When Ben receives an unexpected gist in the shape of a bay on his doorstep then Aurelia steps up to help him and the close proximity soon has them breaking down those barriers Do they have a chance to form a family or will a surprise visitor destroy what they are finally admitting is between them.
5 Star review of Call Her Mine (Harmony Pointe #1) by Melissa Foster
I was excited to learn that Melissa Foster was writing a new series.
This is Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark’s friends to lovers story. Ben has been in love with Aurelia for what seems like forever although she has no idea. Just as Ben decides to make a play for Aurelia, she up and decides to move to Harmony Pointe.
Call Her Mine certainly ticked all the boxes for me. This story had me captivated from the start as I thoroughly enjoy Ms. Foster’s style of writing.
When a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep, he turns to the one person he knows he can depend on and of course Aurelia steps up to help.
As they both struggle to adjust to their new circumstances, there will be laughter, tears and confessions. The attraction and chemistry between them is sizzling and intense. Can Ben and Aurelia find the baby’s mother and make a relationship work, or are they destined to fail?
Ben is swoon worthy, protective and altogether a great guy. I love Ben and Aurelia and found them easy to relate to, as I did the secondary characters. I cannot wait to read the next book in this exciting new series.
