Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels.
Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He’s been in love with his best friend—saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark—forever. But Ben’s a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When … been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own—to a different town.
Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she’s crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she’ll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on.
But when a baby is left on Ben’s front porch—a baby that is presumably his—Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after… just not one either of them expects.

This was my first Melissa Foster book and I can honestly say I was quite pleased. As soon as I read the blurb and a baby was mentioned I was automatically hooked. If you know me, then you know I love books with babies in the story. I’m also a sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope and this one had just that as well. I was thoroughly entertained right from the beginning and really enjoyed this book.
Aurelia and Ben captured my heart. I just loved their friendship. I laughed, I smiled and most definitely swooned. I couldn’t get enough these two, and then add baby B to the mix and I just couldn’t handle myself, feelings overload.
Ben and Aurelia’s friendship was put to the test when a baby is left on Ben’s doorstep. But it not only strengthened their friendship, but it also brought them closer together in a way they could only dream of. Having them learn along the way how to care for a baby and leaning on the other for support, only made their bond that much stronger. And oh my gosh, Ben as a dad is everything. He’s so protective, loving and caring and it’s just the best.
Call Her Mine was a great friends-to-lovers romance. With enjoyable characters and secondary characters that were just as great. And with a precious and sweet baby that stole the show. Ben, Aurelia and baby B made the prefect little family. It’s no surprise that I’ll definitely be reading more of this author.
Not only 5 stars but 5 hearts!!! I LOVED this book!!! You will fall in love with Ben and Aurelia and this book will warm your heart!! I’m loving this new series already!!!
Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark have been best friends forever; however, both are secretly in love with each other. When a baby, his baby, is left on Ben’s doorstep, the life as they know it is changed forever. As Ben tries to come to terms that he has a child, he heavily relies on Aurelia’s help. As they try to figure out who the baby’s mother is, Aurelia struggles with Ben’s past, she decides she can do handle it. At the fear of losing his best friend, Ben comes clean and confesses his love for Aurelia, which she in turn does the same. As they navigate their newfound relationship as a couple, the baby and finding the baby’s mother, their love for each other only grows stronger.
As you follow Ben, Aurelia and Bea’s journey, you will laugh, you will cry but most of all, you will swoon over the love Ben and Aurelia have for baby Bea and each other. This is a very heartwarming story about, friendship, love and loss.
Ben is sweet, sexy and in love with Aurelia. Aurelia is also in love with Ben but being best friends she doesn’t want to mess anything up. When a baby lands on Ben’s doorstep at just the time he plans on telling Aurelia that he’s in love with her, they form the perfect little family. This book is in turns romantic and real and so, so sweet. You will fall in love with Ben, Aurelia and Bea and look forward to their happily ever after!
Ben Dalton has a problem. After falling asleep watching movies with best friend Aurelia Stark they awake to a baby left on Ben’s front porch. Aurelia jumps in to help with the beautiful baby. As Ben finally discloses his true feelings for Aurelia he realizes all they have to deal with. I loved this introduction to the Harmony Pointe series. As always Melissa Foster’s writing is fresh and her stories filled with unexpected emotion. This book totally took a twist I was not expecting and I absolutely loved it. A definite add to your must read list.
I fell head over heels for this story. I’ve loved watching Ben and Aurelia and their flirting and banter back and forth but this time it’s on. This book was everything. I enjoyed watching them figure out how to take care of Bea (Jane Bea) and I really liked how excited and supportive the family was and I also really liked how they finally came together for the baby and in turn, each other. I’m glad that we got to meet Caroline even though her story was heart wrenching and I definitely cried many tears for her but I’m thankful that she got to say goodbye and make peace with everything. The other part that totally made this book for me was the references to previous books and the ending with Ben recreating Duke’s scene, couldn’t have been better! There are always so many amazing lines in Melissa Foster’s books, one of mine from this book was ‘It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting’. Thank you Melissa Foster for another amazing book. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.
A fun friends to lovers tale. I thought he was a bit of a twat though and she was naive. Time for them to both grow up. An unexpected baby in their lives will either make or break them. You’re going to love or hate this book and the characters…maybe like me, both.
I love the Dalton family! I realize this is Ben and Aurelia’s love story, but his family and the extended family & friends…they are part of what makes a Melissa Foster book so heartwarming. Aurelia & Ben finally get together with some help from a surprise on the doorstep. Friends to lovers. Perfect blend of feels and passion and humor. So many feels!! Love, love, loved!! Cannot wait for more!! I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
All.the.feels.
I laughed, I was angry, I cried, I loved! The absolute best surprise baby story I have ever read!!
Ben and Aurelia take the friends to lovers to the ultimate next level when there’s a tiny baby added to the mix! Neither of them are prepared for what happens or know what to do! It’s a crack up!! Every parent will be thrust back to reliving the “brand new parent” stage of their lives and nodding their heads with a “Yessss! I remember this!!” The challenges they face with Baby B are tied, twisted, and wrapped around the newness of their super hot and steamy, all-of-a-sudden, our-timing-sucks, it’s-about-time relationship. But they’re a great team who have awesome family members to lend their two cents and helping hands. The supporting characters in this book bring it to life!
Yeah, I had some leaking eyes partway through because it was just so beautiful and moving. But holy tissues, nothing prepares you for Chapter 22. Nothing. I was a sobbing mess!
Everyone needs this book. It’s happiness!! (With the added tears.)
Ben and Aurelia are a dynamite couple. From the start you will be laughing out loud at their wild and crazy story. There will also be moments when you will tear up as they deal with the heartbreaks that come their way. They get hot and steamy to keep you turning the page. This is a love story all the way true that has vibrant and very lovable characters. They have been dancing around each other for years until a baby dropped on the doorstep forces them to face the love they have for each other. A marvelous story.
Bravissimo ! Another steamy romantic masterpiece by the talented Melissa Foster. Her writing is like a pianist’s symphony; she can take a story from one end of the keyboard all the way to the other end in a beautiful harmony, a perfect crescendo of emotions! Call her mine made me fall in love with Harmony Point and the Dalton’s once again.
Ben and Aurelia finally get their feelings out in the open but are now stuck in the middle of a crisis. There is never a good time nor a bad time to blurr out your feelings when they’ve been building up forever and nothing will take down Aurelia ; she’s been waiting for her Ben for way to long.
This book torn me in half, made me smile, ripped my heart, shredded me, made me cried and laugh so hard. Only Melissa can bring out so many emotions and make such a beautiful story. It’s poignant and makes you realize how life can always throw us a curve ball. Her characters are strong, open minded and ready for anything; you just can’t avoid falling for both of them!
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
I’ve read a few Melissa Foster books and have enjoyed them. This one is no exception. She’s created the perfect little town with great characters that have been best friends since they were kids. Being besties, however, doesn’t mean that they know every little thing about each other.
Ben has kept his feelings for Aurelia hidden pretty well. They both have, actually. Until Aurelia can’t take it anymore and decides to move to a neighboring town hoping for a new start.
Just when they open up about their feelings the bottom falls out of their world. A baby is found on Ben’s doorstep and no mother in sight. I really like how Aurelia steps up to the plate here. When push comes to shove about the person you love how you react to stressful and unexpected events will show how committed to them you are.
This book is sweet and you will probably read it pretty quickly. I recommend it for your next read.
I am a huge fan of Melissa Foster’s books. I have to admit that this is the first one that I wasn’t sure that I was going to like the lead male character in this story. To be honest, at first, I didn’t like him. It took a couple of chapters into the story to warm up to Ben Dalton and by the end, I was loving him.
Totally loved Ben’s best friend, Aurelia Stark. She was sassy and funny.
They’ve known each other and attracted each other for years.
She’s starting a new life in a new town and opening a bookstore. He has a new deal in the works. Enter life with an unexpected surprise: a baby that has been dropped off on Ben’s doorstep. Aurelia is there with her support from the start. Ben of course freaks out!
And, yep, you wonder where is the mom. Why did she drop of the baby and disappear. So many questions along with kind of not liking her at first. But, true to Melissa’s style of writing, we learn that there is more to this story. One that just tugs at your heart strings.
I fell in love with Ben & Aurelia and of course, Peanut (Ben’s nickname for the baby). Melissa, you did a wonderful job with this story and I’m looking forward to what’s coming next.
CALL HER MINE is the first instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult HARMONY POINTE erotic, romance series-a spin off from the author’s Sugar Lake series. This is book store owner Aurelia Stark, and billionaire businessman Ben Dalton’s story line.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Aurelia and Ben) CALL HER MINE follows the best friends to lovers/ secret baby trope between book store owner Aurelia Stark, and billionaire businessman Ben Dalton. Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark have been best friends for a number of years but best friends who have secretly lusted after one another without ever taking the next step towards something more. When Ben finds an abandoned baby on his door step, Aurelia steps up to help Ben but finds herself caught between head and heart believing she will always be friend zoned by the man that she loves. What ensues is the quick building romance between Ben and Aurelia, and the potential fall-out as Aurelia struggles with her place in Ben’s life including the possibility of losing her heart to a child, not her own.
Ben Dalton desperately wants a more than a friendly relationship with Aurelia Stark but our hero has a bit of a colored past that is about to send his well-ordered life spiralling out of control. Having no idea as the identity of the child’s mother, Aurelia and Ben begin to search through Ben’s recent past in the hope of uncovering the truth. Aurelia Stark wanted to start fresh and opening her own book store in Harmony Pointe was the first step in starting over but moving away meant pushing herself further from the man that she loved. A surprise baby gave Aurelia the opportunity to spend more time with Ben Dalton but our heroine is overwhelmed by the responsibility of caring for a child, and the possibility of losing is all should Ben opt for single parenthood.
The relationship between Ben and Aurelia is one of friends to lovers, friends who have been afraid to admit their feelings, and their emotional ties to one another. Aurelia believes she has been friend zoned by the man that she loves, and Ben believes Aurelia’s fresh start is the first step in moving away from their current relationship. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Aurelia’s grandmother Flossie; best friend Everly Love; as well as Ben’s large extended family: his parents Roxie and Dan Dalton; Ben’s four sisters Willow (Zane), Bridgette (Bodhi), Piper and Talia ; actress Remi Divine; Ben’s business partner Aidan Aldridge; construction project manager Kase Force.
CALL HER MINE is an animated story of friendship, family, surprises and love. The premise is engaging and entertaining ; the romance is flirty and spicy; the characters are sassy, strong and spirited. CALL HER MINE is a captivating and energetic look at growing up and taking responsibility when needed the most.
This is my first Melissa Foster read. I admit I am bad because I have a few of her books on my kindle unread. Yep, I am such a procrastinator sometimes. But I can no longer be that way, because I fell in love with Ben. Let me tell you the ways. But I am going to try to keep it short, sweet and a bit vague.
In Call Her Mine, we get to meet Aurelia and Ben, who’ve been friends for years, and are seemingly comfortable with each other. But they are both harboring feelings for one another for so long. But neither make a move until it’s almost too late.
Ben isn’t your typical man-whoring playboy. He a successful businessman from his own making from hard work and planning. And his best friend Aurelia is starting up a new book store a few towns over from where they grew up. Neither one thinks that their friendship will ever change.
Oh, but it does!
After finding Baby Bea on his doorstep, Ben realizes that he can’t live without Aurelia. I loved the dynamic between them as their friendship grows and changes. The two of them navigate their newly found feelings while dealing with the a newborn baby and her paternity with trepidation.
Now, Ben takes his new may or may not be parenthood very seriously, almost immediately. He does everything he can for this little girl, from buying her everything under the sun to finding her irresponsible mother is number one on his agenda.
This is kind of book that wants to keep guessing if the baby is his or not. But this story isn’t exactly the kind you’re used to. There a some subtle and some huge changes. I loved the family-focus and it’s devotion to help both characters. Essentially, this is a light hearted read that will keep you glued to the pages until it’s finished.
At least it was that way for me.

A touching and simple beautiful romance.
Ben and Aurelia are truly captivating, the storyline is filled with heartfelt emotions and dazzling sexiness. Plenty of charming characters to warm your heart.
A true swoon worthy romance.
Ben and Aurelia’s story is special and Ben is definitely swoon worthy! Melissa Foster always has a knack creating characters who feel like they are already your best friends. You feel their highs, their lows and all the funny crazy stuff in between. While secret baby is not one of my favorite tropes, Melissa did it stunningly well. And like most of her books, the story is about the couple navigating their new and somewhat awkward relationship together. Low angst, but with all the emotion and intrigue that kept me turning the page. Call Her Mine is definitely a feel good book that is the perfect escape.
I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love with the Daltons all over again, especially Ben. I love how Ben and Aurelia’s lives are turned upside down from the very beginning because it causes them to finally admit their feelings for each other right away. I didn’t have to wait the whole book for them to be together. It was more about them navigating their new relationship along with the new baby thrown their ways. Ben surprised me in more ways than one and I love how he went all in and everything he did showed how much he loved Aurelia. I loved seeing the rest of the Daltons and the extended family and it made me realize how much I missed them. I had a huge smile on my face but I also cried. I cried because of all the love and the sage advice that Ben receives from everyone but especially his dad. And the plot twist towards the end is heart wrenching. I loved meeting new characters too and now I’m hoping we get Piper’s story but also all the other characters too. Melissa Foster has done it again with this story. It’s captivating, heart wrenching, and had me on the edge of my seat.
Call Her Mine is such a wonderful read. You will fall in love with Ben and Aurelia. They are best friends and always got each other’s backs. And in Call Her Mine I love how Aurelia doesn’t even hesitate when Ben’s surprise baby shows up on his doorstep. Ben is so sworn worthy with how he steps up to be an amazing dad to his daughter. I love how natural Ben and Aurelia are with baby B. Aurelia is amazing. I love how you can just feel the love between Ben and Aurelia before anything even comes out between them. You will just love Bens family. You will laugh out loud through this one as Ben and Aurelia navigate being first-time parents. I loved this one so much and I can’t wait to return to Harmony Pointe for more.
Melissa Foster’s first book in her Harmony Pointe series, hits all my checks for a great story.
Friends to lovers; sweet handsome best friend; single dad; hot chemistry and a tear jerker all in one.
These two as friends are great, but when the timing finally seems to be right for these two, them as a couple is the best. When Ben gets the unexpected baby on his front door with a note telling him she is his, the only thing he can do is turn to Aurelia for help. It was so much fun to see these two take on a baby, I mean let’s face it the first time we became parents was probably just the same as it was for these two. everything seems to be on track for them, until Bea’s mom shows up, you think it will put a wedge between them, then boom, you hit with the real story and that’s when the tears will start.
Make sure to pick up Ms. Foster’s new series, and the fist book call her mine, you won’t be disappointed.
