Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels.
Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He’s been in love with his best friend—saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark—forever. But Ben’s a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When … been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own—to a different town.
Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she’s crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she’ll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on.
But when a baby is left on Ben’s front porch—a baby that is presumably his—Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after… just not one either of them expects.

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher with the understanding that I would provide an honest review of the book after reading it.
I have read many books by Melissa Foster and this book is a spin-off of the Sugar Lake series. Willow, Zane, Piper, Bodhi, and the rest of the family appear in this story. You can read this as a stand-alone book.
Aurelia and Ben’s story had its ups and downs, surprises, laughs, heart-melts and heartbreaks. This is a friends-to-lovers story with a surprise baby that turns things upside down! Ben learns what’s important in life and takes immediate action to care for the two lucky ladies in his life.

Call Her Mine is an entertaining, easy read. It’s a heartwarming friends to lovers story, as well as the surprise baby troupe (not my favorite theme, but I do like a good friends to lovers story and this fit that nicely). As usual with Melissa Foster, this book had plenty of emotion, laughter, tears, and, of course, love. I look forward to return visits to Harmony Pointe.
Honestly my favorite Melissa Foster book ever. The build up to Ben and Aurelia has been grueling and frustrating, but so worth it. They are magic together. Add Bea in the mix and what’s not to love. You can feel all the emotions bubbling right off the page.
I also love that Caroline wasn’t a “villain”. Though her story is sad, it’s a nice way to have her story wrapped up.
Well done!
I liked this book. I liked the characters. I thought Ben was going to be a pig at the start but I soon warmed up to him and realised he wasnt so bad.
A couple that’s been in love with each other for years, finally get together after a shocking find.
The ending was emotional and unexpected
Welcome back to the Dalton family. I enjoyed yet another sweet tale from the family witj a heart of gold. I laugh, I cried, I could have died…of laughter and joy at the closing scene. Foster fans will cheer!
This was a beautiful story, and the charecters were perfect it was nice to read a story of life-long friend’s turned lover’s and the unexpected twist was so wonderfully put together and at one point or another it brought tears to my eyes. Great book. Look forward to reading more

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
Aurelia & Ben are friends that won’t admit their feelings for each other because either wants to lose the friendship if the other doesn’t feel the same. They are so blind! All of their friends & family have tried to tell them but they don’t want to step out of their comfort zone. Then the unexpected happens. They discover an abandoned baby on the doorstep, Aurelia steps up to helping out, & the close proximity leads to the chemistry taking over!
I enjoyed this story. At the beginning, Ben acted like a typical male struggling with becoming a father but once he accepted it, he was all in. I loved that Bea actually brought Ben & Aurelia together. The families were completely supportive. Ben’s parents & Aurelia’s grandmother added so much to the story. They were the voices of reason. I laughed at Piper always wanting to go yell at or let someone have it. She’s so feisty & sure she’s right! If you want don’t mind a hero with faults, some cursing & lots of hot sexy action, you don’t want to miss this book!
Ben and Aurelia have been best friends for years. The only problem with that is that she’s been in love with him all that time. To say their timing has always been off in an understatement. Deciding she can’t be his friend any more, Aurelia decides it’s time to follow her dreams and move from Sugar Lake to Harmony Pointe and open a book store. A fresh start is what she needs to leave Ben and her love for him behind. Ben was blindsided by Aurelia’s move, and isn’t sure how to get her to stick around, until someone drops a baby on his door step. Now he needs her more than ever.
This book had me hooked in the first couple of chapters, unrequited and friends to lovers are two of my favorite tropes. Call Her Mine is listed as being the first of the Harmony Pointe series, however, I felt a little lost having not read the Sugar Lake Series first since that’s when Ben and Aurelia are introduced. It feels like I missed some of the angst and heartbreak not seeing them interact in those four books. I almost couldn’t relate to everyone’s feelings of “finally!”. That being said, I’m sure that if I would have done some research I could have figured that out, read the Sugar Lake series and been more prepared. Definitely read those first. BUT, I did really enjoy this story even not having all the background info. The dynamic of Ben and Aurelia, how they couldn’t be more opposite and their terrible timing, they’re adorable. I was gut punched at 95%, I’m sure I should have seen the twist coming, but oh my gosh, all the feels, complete heart break. And that Epilogue was perfection. I loved that even though Aurelia wasn’t Bea’s biological mom she loved her just the same. It doesn’t matter who makes you or who births you, it’s who loves you and cares for you that really count in life.
Melissa Foster just wrung my heart out with Call Her Mine. I laughed, cried, laughed some more, felt my heart expand it was so full from this couple and the love they had for each other and how they always came to the right answer for something so very hard to do had me bawling like a baby…in case you can’t tell….I LOVE THIS BOOK
Call her Mine by Melissa Foster a five-star read you will want to call yours. This was my first read by this author, but it felt like I was reading a story about old friends and knew the secondary group so well, you could get the inside jokes. Ben and Aurelia are a match made in heaven, but just because they are a perfect match doesn’t mean they have ever realised it. Just like being an adult doesn’t make you a grown up. They have both done stupid things and when one of those stupid things comes back to bite Ben on the behind, its Aurelia that he turns to, just as she is meant to be moving on and starting a fresh. But Aurelia would do anything for Ben, and she gets her reward in an unexpected package in Baby B. The thing with this story isn’t that its just Ben and Aurelia and Baby B, its everyone else that is thrown into the package they make the story so much deeper and more interesting that you can imagine, it’s a cute and sweet romance but its also so much more.
This book is a spin off of the Sugar Lake Series that centers around Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark. Ben and Aurelia have been best friends forever and both have crushed on each other for years, but have been afraid to act on their attraction. Aurelia has decided that she needs a new start away from Ben by moving to and opening a bookstore in Harmony Pointe. Aurelia is kicking herself for running back to spend time with Ben, as she is leaving his house, she sees a basket. There is a baby in the basket with a note that says the baby is Ben’s. While dealing with a new baby, they eventually reveal that their feelings to each other. Starting a new relationship and becoming insta-parents is pretty chaotic, but that is what is enjoyable about this book. Ben and Aurelia are really nice characters who have been circling around each other throughout the Sugar Lake series and it is nice to see them get their happily ever after. This is a cute book with minimal conflict. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
Life is stressful and chaotic. When you need a heartwarming, funny, sexy romance to escape into, Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster is the book to choose. I was hooked from the very first paragraph and had great difficulty putting the book down (my family kept reminding me I had to sleep). And when I did put the book down I continued thinking about the characters and the story. It’s a rare book that has me smiling, laughing, sighing, and fanning myself as I read. Call Her Mine is a truly charming and touching and uplifting story. This is the first book of Melissa Foster’s I have read, and it won’t be my last.
Every character in this story is wonderfully written and relatable, even feisty Piper. Ben and Aurelia (Rels to Ben) are my new favorite couple. They personified what it means to love and support someone absolutely. It was delightful watching their friends to lovers relationship unfold as it was tested in ways that would split most couples apart. And I can’t forget about Flossie. I want this gentle, strong, wise woman as my grandma. I highly recommend Call Her Mine for a feel-good contemporary romance read.
****Thank you to the author, Montlake Romance and NetGalley for this ARC which was received in exchange for my honest review****
Aurelia and Ben have been best friends for years but Aurelia can’t stand watching Ben and his one night stands anymore, so she is moving and opening a bookstore. Just as Ben has decided to tell her his feelings, she moves. When a baby is left on his doorstep, he is petrified and begs Aurelia to help him. As they navigate parenthood, they also tell what’s in their hearts and gives in to the chemistry between them. As they learn about babies, run their businesses, and hunt for his baby’s momma, they also learn to be a family.
Awesome story with sex, humor, and heartbreak. Be prepared for a cold shower. I think this is the best story from Ms. Foster since Tru Blue.
