Can you claim your future while holding onto the past? Moping over her ex’s updated relationship status, Quen decides a solo road trip is exactly what she needs. Unfortunately, her hunk of junk car has other plans and leaves her stranded on the side of the interstate. Steaming from a failed business deal, Drew takes a drive in his classic convertible to cool off when fate lands him directly in … him directly in Quen’s path. A little polite conversation, mixed with a slathering of flirting, and the sexy billionaire offers her a lift.
What follows is an eclectic adventure that will change their lives forever.
The Stay-Hi Café.
An outdoor junk exhibit.
A strawberry festival.
A “cockroach” motel.
Each stop brings them closer together and leaves both wishing the journey didn’t have to end.
As Quen begins to wonder if a future with Drew is possible, real life bursts in to monopolize his time. And the obstacles don’t stop there. Not one, but two men from Quen’s past swoop in, hell-bent on winning her. Can Quen recapture her magic summer by following her heart back to Drew in California? Or will self-doubt convince her that her heart is safer at home?

I loved reading Drew and Quen’s story. The characters, pace and dialogue were all on point (which is typical from this amazing author). I was immediately hooked and couldn’t put it down through the build up, angst and everything in between. Definitely make sure to add this to your reads!
What a GREAT book!! California Love is a beautifully written stand-alone and makes the perfect Sunday read. It is filled with sweet summer romance and a perfect HEA. I loved Quen and Drew and how they were brought together; disaster turned time of their lives. For a hot minute, I thought maybe summer fling was all they’d have, then BOOM! Fight for your woman man 🙂
Overall this was a great read and I’ve already recommended multiple friends give it a read.
3rd book but didn’t feel like I needed to read the other 2.
Nice quick read that got me through a couple of spare hours over the festive period.
Going to go back and read the rest in the series now.
A chance meeting for Quen and Drew became more as their adventure begins. This was a sweet and steamy romance read, the characters had chemistry and attraction but wasn’t as intense as I would like. Overall a good storyline with a sweet ending. My first read by the author and it did not disappoint.
I’m on the fence about a lot of this book and that’s what floors me after reading it. I came into this already loving what I’d read before so I had high expectations. I just couldn’t understand Quen or her mindset. She was just too all over the place all the time and she didn’t even try and fight for what her heart wanted even though Drew finally got a clue and was trying to make an effort to make things right with her. Her choices were not unlike a toddler clinging to a safety blanket. It’s beautifully written as all of her works are I just couldn’t lose myself in this one at all or get a feel for their love story as it’s more like a love I don’t even think you can call it a triangle when it’s three not two trying to win her over, and I tried my hardest to love it. I ended up not really liking Quen for most of it. I did love the supporting Characters though, especially Sam. It’s a nice weekend read though.
Quen and Drew’s story is a well written story which is humorous, steamy and an all-round sweet read. I was hooked throughout however, the only downside in my opinion only, is that the story was a bit disjointed in parts. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I would read more.
This is the 3rd book in the series.
I hope theres another book coming out soon with another characters story especially Sam.
I enjoyed this story.
Let me start by saying this was the first book I have read by this author.
I absolutely ed this story. I hope there are other books for Austin, Blair and most definitely Sam!
3.5 STARS!!!
This was a light, sweet and steamy romance read. It was a good read and there were things I liked and disliked about the story. For me, this is the type of book that will get you through a rainy day. I enjoyed Quen and Drew characters but I do wish that I felt a deeper chemistry between the two. There was attraction but I was missing that deep connection, especially near the end of the story. I could have had less of Quen’s whining and I couldn’t believe how fast she forgave Jake. It was too fast and too soon for me. I absolutely loved Sam. I wish he was more involved in the story because he was entertaining and funny. He’s the type of character that makes you smile. The ending was sweet and Drew’s little secret was actually a surprise. This is my first book from this author and it won’t be my last.
