Mia Saunders needs money. A lot of money. She has one year to pay off the loan shark who has threatened her father’s life and is coming after his unpaid gambling debts. One million dollars to be exact.
Her mission is simple—serve as a high-priced escort for her aunt’s Los Angeles-based company and pay monthly against the debt. Spend a month with a rich man whom she doesn’t have to sleep with if … sleep with if she doesn’t want to? Easy money.
Unlucky in love with a spirit that never gives up, this curvy motorcycle-riding vixen plans to get in, make her money, and get out. Part of that goal is keeping her heart locked up tight and her eye on the prize.
At least that’s the way it’s supposed to go…

The Breathless Series is BREATH-TAKING!
This installment is books 1-3 of a 12 part series. At the beginning of the book, we are introduced to Mia Saunders. She currently lives in Las Vegas near her best friend, Ginelle: her little sister, Maddy: and her gambling, alcoholic father. Mia’s loan shark ex-boyfriend, Blaine loaned Mia’s father $100,000 and now he will go to the extremes to get his money back in full. With her Maddy in college and her father lying in a coma, from an attack by Blaine, the only person to pay the debt is Mia. She takes a 12 month job at her Aunt Millie’s high-paying escort company.
JANUARY: In the month of January, Mia finds herself in Malibu with the charming Weston. Wes is a very successful movie script writer who hires Mia to be arm-candy and occasionally shew off the groupies. Quickly, Mia and Wes fall in each others company and realize that feeling are emerging that shouldn’t be.
FEBRUARY: In February, Mia travels to Seattle, Washington to be an art muse for the talented and sexy Alec. Things start off awkwardly for Mia and Alec but they quickly put the awkwardness aside. They become part time sexual acquaintances and actually enjoy their time together.
MARCH: March has Mia in Chicago, Illinois to be a pretend fiance to an ex-boxer and now owner for a huge Italian restaurant chain, Anthony Fasano. Anthony and his real fiance, Hector have yet to come out to Anthony’s family. Throughout the month, Mia becomes great finds with Anthony and Hector. Mia persuades them to announce their relationship and sexuality publicly .
I love this series so far. The story line is unlike anything that I’ve read in this genre. I can not wait to see how much Mia grows in this series.
Mia finds herself in several situations after agreeing to be a highly paid hooker to save her father from his gambling debts and sure death. This is not the kind of book I normally would read but it was well written and interesting.
There are not words to described how much I loved this series. I wish the series kept going into the lives of the two main characters, Mia and Wes. I would have loved to read more about them. I have stayed up late at night just to read more and more of Mia’s story. I think this series should be made into either a TV series or a movie, maybe both. I really felt for Mia while I was reading this series, I know and can understand where she was coming from and it felt like I was right there with her, going through things with her.
For anyone that is trying to decide whether or not to read this series, take my word for it, READ IT AND LOVE IT.
The characters seemed so real. The plot’s main characters evolved throughout the story. True Love conquered in the end. The story plot had twists and turns and it wasn’t a smoothe road for the hero and heroine of the story. All 12 books were a good read.
You MUST read this series!!
Good read
Really enjoyed reading it
Be warned you will be buying the other three books to complete the series
It was interesting and steamy
Great series!!!
Great book!i couldn’t tell if it was one book or three separate ones. I just wonder if I was going to have to read the whole year to find out what happened to the main character. I might try reading the other months if/when they become available.
I loved these books read the whole series. Very entertaining.
I really enjoyed book. Still thinking about purchasing the others. The ending really was not what I expected. Very entertaining.
Kept me wanting more. Had to finish she the whole year
More well-written than the typical erotic romance, this book provides complete characters who keep your interest. There are lots of hot sex scenes, but each man is unique. I bought the entire series and enjoyed it all.
I loved the book such a fun book. Mia needs money lots of it and quick. The only way she can do that is to work for her aunt. To bad she has to be an escort and to get the dough she needs a monthly one or a calendar girl.
Mia is fun she’s a bad ass and will do anything to pay the debt to save her family’s lives. To bad it’s beyond what she would normally do. She has gone on a journey to discover herself and wake up her inner goddess. Good thing she likes sex and having a good time.
As long as she gets the job done and keeps her heart out of it she will be fine right? She can totally do this and not fall in love.
This book was one of those you can’t put down I wanted to know what each guy was like. With one more sexy than the last each month takes her to a new location and adventure it’s hard to walk away from Mia.
I am totally behind on reading these. This book was great and I can’t wait to read volume 2. Mia is one of those characters that you can connect with and just like. Her story is great.
I first heard about this book because the author is supposed to be a writing partner with my bookstore manager’s sister. I picked one up and read the synopsis, and it sounded like it could be a good, sexy read. It was a good read. The main character is Mia. Mia’s father owes a bunch of money from gambling to some bad people in Vegas, and they beat him up pretty bad, and tell Mia that she has to come up with the money, or next they might take it out on her younger sister. The only way Mia can figure out to make that kind of money is to go to work as an escort for her aunt. Now she is going to be an escort for very rich men. They’re not prostitutes. There is no sex in the contract. If the customer wants it, and the escort, in this case Mia, is okay with it, then there is a bonus. She will get like $100,000 each month, and if she decides to go further with them, it is an extra $20,000. This volume has the first three months in it.
January she is with a guy who is a movie producer. Which means she is in California, Hollywood, and he lives in a beautiful mansion, and he also surfs. He tells her right off, that if they have sex, there are rules. No falling in love, no sleeping in the same bed afterwards, etc. But as the month goes by, they find that they get along very well, not only sexually, but personally and socially. At the end of the month, when Wes asks her why she is doing this, and she tells him, he asks her to stay, not to go on with this, and he will pay the money she needs. But Mia wants to do this herself, wants to take care of the debt on her own. So she goes on, Wes telling her not to forget him, and Mia tells him not to wait on her, but if things work out, maybe she’ll be back at the end of the year.
February she goes to Seattle to be a muse for an artist. A nude model. The artist is a French guy. And while he is very sexy, and Mia gives into him as well, the love between them is nothing like the feelings that Mia and West had for each other. In fact the artist, Alec, says that his love is more like what you might think of a casual European love. Mia inspires him to create something very special, something that affects how she even thinks of herself. When she leaves, she knows she probably will not see him again, but is happy with the time she had with him.
March she gets sent to Chicago to play the part of the fiance of a mafia type of guy, a guy who is part of a family that runs restaurants. Turns out that Tony has a partner already. A guy. But his Italian family and all of their community are old fashioned, and Tony thinks they’d never accept him the way he is. And when his mother loves Mia as his fiance, it makes it even harder. Fortunately one of Tony’s sister’s does accept and pretty much kind of had the feeling that he was gay. Eventually Mia must help Tony decide what to do. While she is in Chicago, she talks/texts to Wes several times. Missing him in this not so real escort job.
When we finish the story, we find out who Mia will be working for in April, a young, professional baseball player. I’m excited to read on. This is definitely a very sexy book. I mean, the premise is a woman being an escort. So it’s obvious what kind of story it is.
Mias father is in deep doo doo. He’s borrowed money from a loan shark and owes back 1 million dollars. Seeking help she gets a job with her aunt who owns an escort service. Each month is a different man. With 200,000 dollars each month she can pay back the loan shark, pay her sisters school tuition, and get her self out of a bind. It can be done in a year right.
Along the way Mia meets different mean where she learns a lesson from each. But the number one thing is don’t catch feelings but what happens if you do?
I can’t really give my opinion on this book with out spoiling it so I’m just going to write above what it’s about all summed up.
January might be my favorite of all of the months. There’s nothing to explain that the synopsis hasn’t – Mia’s father is in to a loan shark for one million dollars and is in a coma from his men beating him. She becomes an escort to try to make the money for the loan shark so he doesn’t kill her father or take it out on Mia or her sister Madison. And Mia must spend a month with each person who asks for her services – sleeping with them is not required.
I mean, there were some intriguing stories throughout, but this is the one where Mia Sanders met the infamous Weston Charles Channing the third. He was sexy as sin, and the sexual (and otherwise) tension between them was palpable. He had her for an entire month, and it seemed to go by too quickly for both of them. She was more open than the rules allowed, which was a line she wasn’t supposed to cross. But it was something that drew them closer together. Also, Mia was stronger and sassier in this first month, and I liked that about her. It was before she made more of the life-changing decisions. I also liked that Wes was someone who she couldn’t seem to keep off her mind. And as much as he fought it, he had the same problem. And I loved the way he was on her mind throughout her adventures of the year. It was full of steam and sweet torture.
February was exciting and sensual and my second favorite of the year. Alec Dubois was an enigma – an artist who could attract any woman but a man who knew every little thing about a woman’s body. The art he created using Mia as his muse was breathtaking from the sound of the author’s description, and I had no problem picturing what was happening at any time during the month. Alec was also a lover in every sense of the word. Rather a recluse, the sexy artist had trouble with the real world, though, and I completely understood Mia’s reluctance to stay even longer. And while she spent her time with the successful artist, Wes wasn’t far from her thoughts.
March was just fun. Antony Fasano with the boxer body and the muscles on top of muscles is the heir to a famous restaurant and a fortune. He hired Mia to be his fake fiancée to keep his family off his case, and she was ready to jump in with both feet. He was tired of them telling him he needed to settle down and get married. But there was a side to Antony that would blow her mind and give her an insight into the man. He needed her for more than playing a simply fake fiancée part. And she was even more ready to help him through the massive bridge he needed to cross in order to help him find a happiness she knew he deserved. This one took me by surprise, and I really enjoyed all of the side stories.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this series Audrey Carlan makes you live the characters.
