A romantic getaway at an all-inclusive boutique hotel over Christmas seems the perfect way for Glenn Trevor to celebrate the festive period with his boyfriend. But he could have done without waking up on the first morning delirious and covered in spots. Abandoned by his boyfriend, Glenn’s only saving grace comes in the dynamic form of Bastian, the waiter assigned to attend his every whim, and who … whim, and who might just be an angel in disguise.
Bastian, has only two rules: always make the guests feel as comfortable as possible—not a problem with his innate nurturing disposition—and never ever get involved with a guest. But the quarantined guy in 210 needs someone to take care of him, and Bastian’s more than up for the challenge of making Glenn Trevor’s stay the best ever, even if he has to run himself ragged to do it.
If Bastian can learn to accept the same nurturing care he hands out so readily, and Glenn can get over the farce of his previous relationship, between them maybe they can make it the Christmas of Glenn’s dreams.

Glenn gets sick on his holiday vacation with his boyfriend. The boyfriend doesn’t do anything sick. Bastien who works at the hotel takes care of Glenn. They grow and develop a well-meaning relationship. This was really good with well developed characters. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.
A really great and well-written m/m romance with some steamy times but mostly it starts with a crush and morphs into friendship and more. I really liked the unique start to the tale. Having had the experience of being alone and ill, stuck in a small hotel room until I could get back on my feet, I appreciated that Glenn, the hotel guest turned invalid, felt abandoned and isolated without Seb’s visits to care for and entertain him.
Seb is a warm, likable character and the heart of the holiday atmospherics of the story. There were moments when I really did not like Glenn’s behavior, but the two as a couple work and Seb’s generosity and patience is eventually rewarded.
Though I gave it five stars, the story could have been even better if we knew a bit more about the background of Glenn’s and Seb’s lives.

I loved this sweet Christmas story. Both Glenn and Bastian were wonderful and so cute together. I loved Bastian’s caring nature and how he went out of his way to make sure Glenn had a good Christmas. It’s a pretty low angst, feel good story. Even the ex wasn’t that bad a troll, just selfish and uncaring. Glenn was definitely better off without him. I especially enjoyed the author’s description of the Christmas light display. It was so detailed I felt like I could see it and feel the festive atmosphere.

Glenn’s romantic getaway was ruined when he contracted the measles. His then boyfriend, left him sick and never bothered to look back. The hotel workers found him on the floor, nude and covered in spots. He was helped back into bed by a hotel worker. The kind and gentle soul came to his rescue and its been intriguing from the start.
Bastian turns out to be more than just a traditional employee. Since he already had the measles, he agreed to help care for Glenn on a daily basis. What looked like just the hotel going above and beyond to care for a paying customer, quickly and gently morphed into so much more. Glenn not only received first rate care, he received a Christmas he’ll never forget.
Despite there being a few slight misunderstandings, Glenn and Seb made your heart go pitter patter.

If its the one feature I absolutely hated, it was the self absorbed ex-boyfriend, Xander. From the very beginning he was a shady not-so-real boyfriend. As the story progressed, we realized how much of the relationship was truly one sided. All glitz and glamor, zero substance.

Glenn Trevor, an elementary school teacher, is on a romantic getaway with his self-obsessed boyfriend Xander when he is awakened by angry words asking what he had done to himself! Glenn was covered in red spots all over, and Xander acted like it was the end of the world! Apparently Glenn had gotten measles from one of the children he taught, and he felt absolutely horrible, complete with itching everywhere. Xander slammed around the room, making a terrible racket as he complained about the parties he had missed and the fact he didn’t hang around sick people! Then he stormed out and left Glenn on his own. Glenn barely made it to open the window, then collapsed on the floor, crawling to the trash can just in time to be sick.
Waking up in his bed, two men were talking in his room. Dr. Gill checked him over while Sebastian (“Bastian”) went to get more water bottles and towels. Because Bastian had already had the measles, he volunteered to care for Glenn until he was out of quarantine and well. Glenn tried to say he didn’t have to do that, but Bastian told him that because his first thoughts were for the kids at school and calling their parents, Bastian knew he was a good man and he needed to let someone take care of him right now.
Bastian and Glenn become more comfortable with each other, both attempting to ignore their growing attraction. Instead they accept their becoming friends while Bastian attempts to make sure Glenn has the best Christmas possible. Will either of them finally give in to their true feelings? Or will they go their separate ways as Glenn checks out of the hotel where the most big-hearted, generous man in the world took care of him.
This was an okay M/M read. I found the plot to be dragging at times but I kept on reading to see what would happen. I did get confused throughout the story at times as to what was happening and who was who. The main male characters were great but the narrator seemed to get off track easily making it hard to follow the story at times. I was a little frustrated at how wishy washy the narrator got at times, it made me question if he really was a grown man.
I give this a three out of five stars. The characters were okay but were wishy washy at times making it hard to get a read on them.
