This is Cain and Faith’s book. These two were definitely soul mates for sure. They were engaged and then he got sent off to Afghanistan to be a doctor in the service. When he was gone, he was so emotionally devastated from seeing the war, that he called off their engagement….via letter. This did not, I repeat, did not go over well with Faith. Can’t say that I blame her, luckily he is one hell of a groveler., but she was so heartbroken…like I said soulmates. Cain gets back and hides out from everyone, except his family. Apparently the youngest McKinnon sister, Honor, is the go to for the level head and a mature conversations. This book takes you through their reconciliation, with a, uh bit of intervention.
This was a safe read, even during their separation. Sweet soulmates and a swoon worthy and faithful male that can grovel with the best of them. Older man, younger woman. Pushing away, a little om drama, but no ow drama. These two had enough heat to burn up my kindle, delicious. Great supporting cast, her Aunt Orla slays me. Great book and story, with an hfn.
This was a great read second chance read where Cain broke up with Faith thinking he was doing both of them a favor but well that didn’t work out well for either of them and now he is a broken man in more ways than one and if anyone can help him Faith can. There is a lot of emotions you through while reading this book not just with what Cain went through while in Afghanistan but also with both Faith and him and the rest of their Family and friends. This was not just a great read about Faith and Cain but also fabulous world building for the rest of the series.
I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of this series. For me, Cain’s Salvation was one of those books I could not put down.
What drew me to into this book, was how the writer’s vivid descriptions brought the book to life for me. I absolutely loved the characters and look forward to the rest of the crazy sister’s stories. From the very first page, I was engrossed in their story of love, and the journey that the two and their families take to bring them back together.
After returning from deployment, Cain who served as doctor is dealing with PTSD. This once confident man, who loved Faith with all his heart, is left feeling worthless, broken and overwhelmed. He ends his relationship with Faith via a letter, hoping that he is giving her the chance to move on without his demons holding her back. Heartbroken, Faith tries to move on but, the truth is, the heart wants what it wants, tears and all.
Cain’s Salvation is a story filled with a number emotions’, ranging from sad to hilarious. The story is about that soul deep love that knows no end. There are also a few steamier scenes that most definitely had my cheeks a bit pink. Most importantly though, it is one I most definitely recommend.
