The story just sucks you in. Great story line and amazing detail. Reverse harems can sometimes have too much of the sex scene but it was the perfect balance between fun times and a great story line. It starts well, not to slow with the character development, and by the time you even get to the second chapter. You are hooked. Also switches character views which is always nice.
If you are looking for a book to pull you in and not let go, this is a great choice
Such a fun fantastical story! Real emotion, and all the feels throughout the book. The characters are deep and their descriptions give them such depth you can almost touch them! Literally devoured the book and minding the cliffhanger I truly look forward to learning more about the group.
Kiema is pretty awesome. She is smart, snaky, and caring. The guys are interesting, and while we see the most of Random, there is enough of the other guys that I am intrigued and want to see the relationships develop. There is some hot, steamy scenes and some intrigue regarding who might be trying to get Kiema. I did think the ending was rather abrupt, but thankfully it looks like book 2 will be out next month so I don’t have to wait too long 🙂
Caged Magic is engaging right from the start. I’m a sucker for alpha MC’s and by the second chapter I knew Sadie Jacks had given me that with both lead characters. When you start this book, make sure you have time to finish it in one go, because you will not be able to put it down. There aren’t any lull’s in the story, it’s constantly moving and taking you along for the ride. Sadie Jacks has a way with character and world building that draws you in, makes you root for the main characters and yell at the villains. I can’t wait for the second book in the series Wild Magic and have already recommended this author to everyone I know.
Fudge the book was so good it brought to a crying state!!
I really loved the the book but fudge you author, why did you have to make it so good. And the cliffhanger is the most illegal shit in the book. I hate it yet love it to death. And I can’t wait until the next book comes out to read it. It’s too bloody good, and you are a genius with words.
The thing is I get very attached the characters for each book series I read and then when/if they get killed off I cry very hard. Or if a character has been through hard times and other characters come to aid them and help them over time see that they are stronger with each other it hits me in the feels and gives me goosebumps. Thats what this book made me feel. And even typing this I am trying not to cry thinking about the book.
The book is so emotional and all the surprises in the book just jump at you as they come. The book brings you into another world and just gives you a moment in time to enjoy the other world you’re in. To enjoy that you connect with the characters, but also connect with the author more and to see what they want you to see. Take the book as you will but this book is so amazing. It touches your soul in a way that you wish you had when you meet the love of your life, or when you meet your chosen family. This is why I love the book. The emotions it brings out is what I want to read. I would rather read a book that is filled with these things and is late to being published, instead of reading a half assed nook that doesn’t make sense. Thats what I look in a book and this book has it all.
Caged Magic is an amazing read, it has a fresh storyline and has amazing characters. This book is not your ordinary shifter-magic book. The story is not dragging and will make you ask for more. If you are into magic and shifters, this is the book for you.
Caged Magic is an incredibly well written story about a girl. But not just any girl. A girl who has healing capabilities and is severely controlled by her parents.
Kiema has had enough and plans her escape.
Sadie Jacks has brought us a world and characters that are absolutely enticing!
Wow! This story just sucks you in right from the beginning and never lets you go. A wild thrill ride of magic and romance and evil plots that keep you turning pages as fast as you can. Big cliffhanger but luckily the next books are out so no book hangover here. A huge win for Sadie Jacks.
When this first came out, I immediately added it to my list of books to read later, but for some reason I never got around to it. I don’t know if it was because the blurb is somewhat vague and doesn’t really tell you what to expect in this book, or maybe I just got distracted. Whatever it was, I’m glad I got past it and finally read it. IT WAS SO GOOD.
Despite the blurb leaving me with mixed feelings (I’m still a little eh about it), I was pleasantly surpised with this book. The first book of a series is always difficult, because you have to start the world building, introduce all the important characters, etc, but Sadie Jacks managed it. She built a complex, intricate world so unlike our own. I could actually see in my mind what this world would look like, and it added to the already great book.
Kiema is a strong character, specifically mentally and emotionally. She has a rough life that she is determined to save herself from at any cost. Secrets surround her, some even she is unaware of, and this book begins the journey of unraveling just who exactly she is. I loved how resilient Kiema is, despite her traumatic life. Ransom starts off gruff but he and Kiema are kindred souls, both having grown up in worlds that left them near broken. But finding each other, and the rest of his rag tag group of amazing men, is the start of a new beginning, and I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them.
Sadie Jacks did amazing with this book. It’s a story unlike anything I’ve read before, and that is so refreshing. I haven’t been surprised by a book in a long time, but I was with this one. I came in with certain expectations, and I could not have been more wrong. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I am so glad I was wrong. However you may feel about this book, from the blurb to the sample, give it a try. It will surprise you. Even if it doesn’t surprise you, the guys will no doubt reel you in, especially Asher. I need an Asher in my life. Unfortunately, I’ll have to settle for reading the next book, and the one after that, and so on. I’m officially hooked.
This story has me spellbound from start to finish. I am speeding off towards book 2.
I love the unpredictable storyline. Some plots are obvious and others are still waiting to be shown. I can’t wait to get on with the story in the next book.
I love how the relationship evolves between the characters and I am looking SO much forward to see it all grow.
Kiema and Ransom have a love story that is just so touching. They start out with lots of tension and mistrust which slowly turns into tension of a different variety and trustworthiness by bringing Ransom’s team into Kiema’s life. I would definitely recommend giving this book a shot as it’s full of self Discovery and strong friendship which every good book needs.
Wow! This really is an awesome book! From the very start this book grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go! I love the characters. Kiema, as well as Ransom, and the rest of the guys, are all amazing characters! The storyline is full of action, suspense, intrigue, uniqueness, and let’s not forget the sexy times! I really loved this book and cannot wait to read the next one!
