One summer. One touch…
Cadence Riley didn’t have time for guys—no matter how potent their smiles were. She knew better than to fall for someone like Fitz Quinn, the spoiled bad boy son of a wealthy politician. But the second he spoke to her, she knew she was in over her head. He was a gorgeous trouble maker with a cocky attitude. Her heart warned her, but she didn’t listen. There was something protective and good beneath the bad boy exterior that made her insides flutter. Before she knew it, she fell hard and fast.
Fitz wasn’t prepared to meet a girl like Cadence. She was shy and innocent—and nothing like the girls who usually flocked his doorstep. How could he resist her mile-long blond hair and emerald eyes? He knew he shouldn’t want her. His father already had other plans for him and a relationship with her could never go beyond the summer. He thought their stolen kisses by the lake were only supposed to be a summer fling. Falling for her shouldn’t have happened. But it did.
Now the clock is counting down until Fitz has to return to the life that awaits him in Washington D.C. As September draws closer, how will they survive the end of everything they’ve come to love?

I’m looking forward to reading this one!
Such a beautiful love story. This book/audio book was my very first by Dakota Willink.
Cadence takes for the first time responsibilities at camp Riley to help her parents. Fitz Quinn gets there to serve social hours after being in trouble. When they meet the air is sizzling around them, the chemistry is out of charts. And although Cadence wants to keep her distance from the rich bad boy, she also wishes to know him better. From being friends they become lovers with just with an expire date….
One would think that love strong like this can’t be broken…well every single thing can be damaged…..
This story brought me back to beeing young and see the things with another eyes. I felt with them, I cheered them up, I was heartbroken as well. The end left me with a huge hangover and hungry for more.
Anyway I loved every single second and have to say that the book can’t come soon enough.
And let me tell you the narrators did extraordinarily fabulous job. I was addicted to both their voices.
This book was amazing. Author Dakota Willink draws you into the love story and never lets you down. The sparks fly and once they do you want everything to work out for these two. The backdrop of a summer talent camp is the wonderful place to let love fly. Cadence is an innocent at 18 trying hard to get into college early while Fitz is 22 and finished college. Fitz is the all american college playboy who has been sent to this camp as a punishment from his father. Fitz has a secret that could or will destroy the bond between him and Cadence. This book kept me reading and I didn’t want it to end. I was made to feel so many strong emotions. I can’t seem to get this story out of my mind a day later. I will be searching for book 2 in this series.
Untouched. Oh boy talk about a steamy hot read. I so enjoyed reading this love story. Fitz gives Cadence Riley a run door her money. I don’t think Fitz ever stopped flirting with Cadence. First of all I loved the easy pace of the book. My reading moves swiftly through the book. I think I enjoyed the book even more. The characters and the persistent chancing of Cadence by Fitz made the book very entertaining to read. The drama was a little heavy, but I think it made the book all the more real.
This author has a way of writing her books, that produces a book that I firmly believe is a powerful read. The love that shines between Cadence and Fitz is simply beautiful. I enjoyed reading this book. Until next time my fellow readers…read on!
I thought this was a great story and it flowed really well. Fitz is sent to the camp where Cadence works with her family as punishment for not towing the line. Cadence knows she should stay away from him but easier said than done. This has the drama and angst that is expected, and the growing relationship between the two was wonderful and believable. Their situation was of heartache and tragedy. I really liked the story and cannot wait to read the next book.

Cadence Untouched is the first book in this duet. Dakota Willink is a new author for me and I enjoyed her writing style. I was absorbed into the story and it kept me intrigued page by page. The characters are well developed and mature threw out the book. Cadence and Fitz have an incandescent connection that has an end date. This story is emotional and you will need tissues. The twists in this story you don’t see coming. Unfortunately, this book ends on a cliffhanger and you will be left wanting more.

Of course this centers around Cadence and what trouble she asked for. That did not stop her from going deep in with her heart. Different though is what she is for Fitz and we see how this pans out. She is kinda young and different. Sometimes since she is young can be a bit on the nerves. This is a quick read for some.

Cadence Untouched by Dakota Willink. This is one of those stories that you get swept away in and before you know it the afternoon has passed you by and the book has ended. Nice paced contemporary young love drama with just enough steam and conflict to keep you interested until the end and routing for the main couple to win. Looking forward to book two in this duet- hoping for some closure and a much deserved HEA for Fitz and Cadence. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cadence and Fitz are a very unequal couple … and actually Fitz is only for three months as penance at the campsite that Cadence’s family runs. The two are inevitably drawn to each other and Fitz dreads the end of the happy time at the end of summer. It has a cliffhanger. I liked it very much, the two not only attract each other but also entice the reader to immerse with them in a world full of strong emotions.

This is a story as old as the ages a summer love affair ending in tragedy and yet it still brought tears to my eyes at the end. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the prologue, it meant knowing the outcome before reading the story, and the story is a repeat of what happened to Fitz’s mom in many respects. Poor Fitz he is so maligned and has a cruel father and yet he was so sweet with Cadence. Cadence fell in love and paid the consequences and neither of them are happy or fulfilled at the end of this part of their journey, I can only hope that turns around in the second part.
I had a great time reading this well developed and engaging storyline it kept my interest throughout the pages. The characters are well developed and engaging and the connection is strong.

Oh, I enjoyed this so much. Young love filled with secrets and rife when they should have been enjoying falling in love. The story will keep you on edge but the sweet moments between Cadence and Fitz had me smiling and rooting for them. I need to read the next book because I was left wanting more.
This is the first book in a duet in Cadence & Fitz’s story. It starts from their first meeting at her parents camp in their youth. Fitz is sent there with his friend Devon as punishment for an incident they were involved in. After that unfortunately things will change for Fitz as he is being blackmailed by his father but he withholds this from her until the last minute.
The whole experience has changed him but alas their relationship is doomed. It was quite touching at times as these two bonded over their friendship until it became more. Cadence is quite strong but breaks over their parting.
You can’t help but feel for this couple wondering what their future will hold, however this tale continues in the next book.

* Spoilers* This emotional enemies to lovers start out with so many secrets, drama and lies, but the chemistry between Candence and Fitz is palpable from the beginning. The author did a great job developing the characters and building growth and maturity throughout the book while highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between Candence and Fitz and their growing attraction to each other. Unfortunately, you need tissues and the book ends on major cliffhanger.
Fritz is a rich cocky spoiled 22-year-old that is at the camp as part of a deal to avoid serious legal trouble, he got himself into. When he meets Cadence, who is helping her parents put at the camp, he knows he needs to avoid her and believes she is bossy and snobby. When they meet at the lake and he mistakenly believe she is drowning and “saves” her they realize they have more in common than they thought and become friends, then lovers until Fitz confesses that he is expected to marry the Judge’s daughter and starts to avoid her and then ends up hurting and insulting her, breaking her heart. Once he leaves and Cadence sees his wedding picture, she knows they won’t see each other again. She lost her soul mate and will become a single mom to their baby.
Great emotional story and I can’t wait to read part two.

This is book one in this duet and starts the story of Cadence and Fitz. Cadence helped her parent at Camp Riley that they owned and when she was doing the new intake list she met Fitz and when he touched her arm she had butterflies but she had to continue her job and not get distracted. Fits was helping out at the camp for the summer but when he looked at Cadence he knew that he had to get to know her as he was so drawn to her which was a first for him. There connection and chemistry was strong right from the start but will they act on it or not. This story is a real page turner and so emotional that I couldn’t put it down and it was so addictive. Wow what a great start to this duet and I can’t wait to read the next book. Dakota Willink is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy of this book.
This was my first book by the author and I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised. I listened to the audiobook version, but was instantly hooked into the story of Cadence and Fitz as their relationship grew and strengthened. I was definitely intrigued as to what big secret Fitz was harboring. Book one does end with Cadence and Fitz going there separate ways after Fitz reveals what that big secret is, and he breaks Cadence’s heart, and it ends with some other pretty large jaw-dropping cliff hanger goodies to get you excited for what may be in store for book two. I myself cannot wait to dive into book two to see if Cadence and Fitz can find their way back to each other. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and look forward to book two and also reading more from this author in general.
Devin and Fitz are rich frat boys who got into trouble. They were assigned to work at Camp Riley a camp for the arts, for the summer. Cadence and Fitz were electric together from the start. The more time they spent together the closer they were. Fitz has a secret that could tear them apart and they could be never be together. Cadence first love, first heartbreak but would she really be ok when he left? You need tissues with this story!
I can’t say enough about the narration by Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber. They tell the story with such emotion, you get all the feels, love, anger, flirting, and heartbreak.

I cannot believe this is the first time I have read Dakota Willink!! I need more of her books. Cadence Untouched had everything!! Scandals, cover-ups, sacrafices, and most of all, true love is all found within this story. Cadence is so strong. She is the best heroine I have read. She loves hard and loyal. I cannot imagine spending a life wishing, yet she not only does that but has a great life too. Fitz is weak. He succumbs to his father’s wishes too easy. He sacrafices true love because of his weakness. But his life has its own struggles. This book captured my heart and my mind. I got so lost in the story, I forgot to do my housework. But I warn you to have the second book lined up. One is not enough!
Zachary Webber and Lacy Laurel bring this story to life. Fitz goes through some tough struggles and Mr Webber’s performance brings all the emotions to the reader. Fitz has many different sides, and Mr. Webber easily creates him as I imagined. I have loved everything Mr. Webber narrates. Lacy Laurel is the perfect Cadence. Strong yet naive at times, Ms. Laurel creates the perfect heroine. Cadence is so loveable and the reader feels all of her emotions because of Lacy Laurel’s performance. This is well worth the listen.
So initially I thought it will be different story with the different type of the title, but much to my disappointment it sort of is a similar story that I have seen so many times in the movies. At times the story to me was super slow and to much detailed orientated. Overall I enjoyed it and looking forward to read part 2 of the story.
Paths will always connect you to your true love.
It’s been seventeen years since that one special night at Camp Riley. The moon was shining across the lake, U2 was playing on the boom box, and the night was heavy with breaths of love. And then it was over.
Cadence now harbors her own secret and time has only moved her closer to the one man she promised to walk away from. Fitz. Now running his own business of cleaning up dirty scandals, Fitz will need to choose politics over the woman that has always owned his heart.
Struggling with her nonprofit organization, Dahlia’s Dreamers, Cadence’s heart will always be for those searching for the American dream. But how can she love a man who’s politics fight what she has worked so hard for? Politics, oh those dirty politics. One side enforcing what as always been law, yet entrapping those of goodwill. While the other promises so much to get votes, yet do nothing for these poor people.
Fitz’s love for Cadence opens his eyes to a world of unjust and struggles. But when he learns what she has been hiding from him all these years, she only hopes it’s enough to have his forgiveness. Her beautiful secret will affect more than just Fitz, his son and running for the senate.
Fitz and Cadence now have a chance to make it all work. But it’s going to depend on forgiveness and understanding. Seventeen years is too long to go without your true love and time and circumstances have only worked in these two’s favor. The perfect ending to the perfect love.
Great Job, Dakota Willink. I loved Cadence and Fitz’s story along with the entangled drama that leads us to all things perfect.
Great narration, Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber, the perfect fit for Fitz’s and Cadence.
