So. Effing. Sexy. What a steamy read. Michael and Vincent were just delicious together. While we got to read all the wonderfully filthy things they did together, they were building this relationship in the background. I feel like there could have been so much more to this book. I would have read hundreds more pages of them together. Micheal’s attitude and spunk drew me in from the first page and Vincent’s tight tether on his control was admirable. Oh, boy, when that tether snapped? Fire. Absolute fire. I am here for it!
I discovered Roe a few months back and I am so glad that I did! Can’t wait for more.
A needy bottom, a dedicated bodyguard and lots of isolation in the woods. Not my usual trope, but I simply adored the feelings and adoration the author poured into each character making the plotline so believable and creating a story that I simply couldn’t put down. It’s a quick read – but a hot and passionate one.
With his life being threatened, Michael has no choice but to trust the security expert that his uncle hired. Vincent knows what has to be done and the first step is total isolation, so cabin in the woods where no one but a choice few knows where they are. Vincent also knows that even though he likes the look of Michael, he has to keep his head on straight and focused on the job. But will Vincent be able to hold out with the way Michael is teasing him? If he crosses that line, will he be able to keep Michael safe?
This was a super quick story, that had drama, danger, violence, naughty bits that are of the BDSM variety (some of those bits might not be for everyone). I did find myself wanting more story; this was more about the naughty bits and that’s fine as they were hot, but I did actually want more from Michael and Vincent’s relationship. I give this 4 stars.
This book will melt your e-reader (in the best way)!!
Holy hotness Batman, I’m not sure what to say about this story! I have loved every book that I’ve read by Roe Horvat and I loved Cabin Fever, too. Pretty much without a doubt it’s the hottest book of his that I’ve read and I mean that as a compliment. None of this book is safe for work, and probably not safe to read in public, but boy is it good.
It has several tropes going on in the story and my favorite is probably the bodyguard/forced proximity one. Michael doesn’t want to be cooped up with some personal bodyguard but he doesn’t want to die either. When he gets a look at Vincent, he decides that being confined with him could be fun.
Michael taunts Vincent unmercifully, walking around in only a towel or his briefs. Vincent is determined to remain professional but he finally cracks and then the real fun starts. Michael is a bit of a pain slut, and Vincent doesn’t mind giving him what he wants, so if that bothers you this might not be the book for you.
There is a LOT of sex in this book but there is a story, too. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to read more from Roe Horvat!
A copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Michael needs a protector against someone who is trying to kill him. He also needs someone in his life who cares about him more than his wealth. Vincent is hired to guard Michael’s body, and he takes him to an isolated cabin where the two begin to turn their mutual lust into something more.
This book was full of heat, emotion, and tension. Michael broke my heart a little, and I loved watching Vincent try to keep from falling for the younger man under his watch. The sexy scenes of pain and pleasure might not be for all readers, but I thought the they were fantastic. These men were great together, and their romance made for a wonderful read.
Michael is a spoiled rich kid who was living his wild and carefree life. Vincent is a older grumpy but sexy bodyguard hired to keep Michael safe. Hiding in a remote cabin in the woods things get hot with the dynamic change to Daddy/Boy more than Client/Bodyguard.
This story was super sexy hot with some angst and suspenseful. I definitely recommend this book!
This started out as two short freebies but it was left unresolved and I wanted more. When I found out Roe was turning it into a full story complete with HEA and a cute puppy I just had to read it and I wasn’t disappointed I never am to be honest.
Micheal is bratty and spoiled but when his life is in danger his uncle hires the best money can buy to protect him. What he doesn’t expect is the hottest person body guard imaginable.
Vincent is hot and moody and a total Daddy. He is just the right person to buy a bratty little boy in his place . All the while keeping him safe.
What starts as a way to pass away the time and starch an itch turns into something so much more.
What a great story! So hot… wow. Flames all over the place. Michael first comes across as a superficial little rich boy but it soon becomes clear how vulnerable and alone he is. He feels everything very deeply and is a very endearing character, even if a little bratty at times. Vincent at first tries to keep his distance from Michael, and even when they quite obviously start to fall for each other he remains afraid to believe they can have a real future together. Michael’s sexual neediness and his adoration of Vincent are seductive, both for Vincent and the reader, and very well-written. The epilogue was wonderful and unexpectedly sweet.
Michael is an artist that someone wants to kill. He needs a bodyguard, he gets Vincent. Vincent command him. Michael was bored and riddled with anxiety, so he tries to seduce Vincent. But Vincent stand his ground, can’t sleep with the client. I loved how Michael was a spoiled “brat.” Vincent was the perfect “Daddy” for his “boy.” Light BDSM kink. This was my first Roe Horvat story. Really enjoyed it!!
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions
What started out as a frisky wee bit of erotica in the short stories Yes, Daddy and Quite Boy, Roe Horvat turns into a full fledged romance in Cabin Fever. The expanded version focuses mainly on establishing a deeper, more intimate connection between the main characters, and explores how their relationship evolves.
Fans of Roe Horvat’s luscious brand of erotica will appreciate the time the author spends growing their kink dynamic. Using alternating points of view, Mr. Horvat delves into how both characters are processing their experiences. From their mutual initial attraction, to the stirrings of affection, and eventually to love, we get to know Vincent and Michael’s innermost thoughts.
The men have wonderful chemistry and I enjoyed seeing more of the men’s day to day interactions. Spending time cooking and doing chores around the cabin, exercising, and just enjoying each other’s company clearly show their bond developing.
The stalker mystery comes to a satisfying conclusion and Vincent and Michael do get their happily ever after. Once the threat is over, these two can start life “outside the cabin”. What we get to see of them finding their way as a couple is very satisfying, but the romantic in me would love to get more of them as an established couple. Hopefully Roe Horvat is simply laying the groundwork for a sequel… fingers crossed!
Michael and Vincent
From the first line I found myself in some delicious dirty-mouthed/minded state of mind, like the reflection of the pages. Just the right place to be!
After some life-threatening attacks, artist Michael Bourgeon and his mountain of a bodyguard Vincent Nowak are staying low at a cabin in the woods.
Looking down his nose toward Michael isn’t something Michael expected from Vincent.
Vincent commands instead of asking and that exactly what Michael wants. Yes, bring it on!
A boy full of stress and anxiety and a Daddy who took and took ha! One big hot fest with hurt and satisfaction.
“This was it. The Holy Grail.”
Hot hot hotness and (of course) some layered levels is what this author brings here. Action and hot AF sexual encounters. That all together ghawd such an awesome combination.
Lots of brattiness, my favorite! Dominance, another favorite! And holy moly a lot of deliciousness ha! Another favorite! On forehand, I knew this couldn’t go wrong.
All the right ingredients and on top of that written by the hand of this author it could only end in a ‘highly recommendation’ and a five-star review. It is what it is!
If you’re in a mood for panty melting, man on man erotica, this is the book for you. There’s a lot of sex and it’s blatantly descriptive, kinky, raw and HOT, HOT, HOT!
But it’s not just that. It’s also the portray of two lonely souls that surprisingly connected during their forced isolation, even though their relationship should have been only physical. The author did an awesome work at describing their feelings, their internal turmoil, until their bond became deep and meaningful, delightfully passionate and romantic.
Cabin Fever is another fantastic book by this author, who always delivers a romance with a lot of steamy hotness in it. Loved it!
