Have a destination wedding, they said. The mountains are so romantic, they said. They’ve obviously never been a runaway bride.Olivia Love has it all. She’s rich, spoiled, and about to marry the man of her dreams—until she witnesses her fiancée with someone else, sending her on a little run. Down the side of a mountain. In her wedding dress. When she finds a cabin in the woods, her relief is … finds a cabin in the woods, her relief is short-lived at discovering it to be empty. No phone, no heat, and no way back to her perfect little life. That is until a gun-toting mountain man fills the space and sends her heart rate skyrocketing.
Carter Fitzwilliam likes the simple things in life. His sheep farm, his privacy, and man’s best friend are all he needs until a smart-mouthed beauty in a white dress breaks into his cabin and threatens to complicate the hell out of everything.
Will these two opposites attract or push each other over the mountain?

Olivia runs from her wedding and finds a cabin in the mountain. It’s not empty…. Carter is used to be alone and he likes it that way.
A runaway bride is nothing that he wants in his cabin, but could he really send her away….
A lot of chemistry between Olivia and Carter. What will this lead to…?
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I really liked this story! It was a bit of a slow burn and I loved the connection between Olivia and Carter. Bit of comedy, romance and mystery all rolled into one book. Great read!
Runaway bride and a hot antisocial sheep farmer. This book was funny, sweet with a hint of suspense throughout the book. The chemistry between the two characters was fun to watch. I enjoyed this book.
This was an interesting read. It took awhile to warm up to both characters.
Runaway bride finds what appears to be an empty cabin. The homeowner comes back and our bride is introduced to a big mountain man with a thing against cursing. They slowly develop a relationship despite the major differences in the way they were raised. I liked the early parts of the book. They were silly, sexy, and fun. Toward the end there were some unusual and unrealistic turns that made the book a lot harder to finish, it took way longer to finish than I thought it would. It was okay, but for a one time read only.
This book for me was neither bad nor was it great. To me our heroine was annoying, from the way she spoke to how she acted, although I will say that by the end of this book I found myself liking her a lot more than I did at the beginning of this book. Also this book to me was a bit of a slow burn romance and normally I am okay with that but in this case for me it just felt like it made the book drag on. I will definitely read another book by this author, I am not the type of person who will read one book by an author that I don’t care for and never read another. Maybe it was just the storyline that was a bit off putting for me.
I can honestly say that i thoroughly enjoyed this read. Olivia & Carter are so Opposite from each other it completely made the Book a good one. Loved their banter and the LOL moments. Looking forward to more from this Author!
This was just an OK read for me. Carter and Olivia were both not very relatable characters, at times annoying, and kinda immature. It’s understandable why Carter has his issues, he was raised as a recluse by a father afraid of losing his son. The book was uneven as far as pace, some parts were well paced, and then you hit a slow couple of chapters. Overall, a good read and an author I would try again.
When this book starts off I’m not sure how I feel about Olivia, she seems spoiled even though she ran from her wedding after her fiance cheated but as the story unfolds I find myself liking her more with each chapter. Stumbling through the woods running from her wedding Olivia finds what appears to be an abandoned cabin. Carter returns home to find stranger in his home, untrusting by nature Carter wants the intruder gone. Olivia refuses to leave and the story begins with each day bringing them closer together, falling in love but Carter has a reason to remain reclusive and Olivia might just be want puts him in danger. A good story that ends much differently than it began. Lots of character growth with a sweet HEA.
This book was quite slow burning in my opinion. Initially I found Olivia quite annoying. She was a spoilt brat who fled her wedding and found herself an a seemingly barron cabin. Then we meet Carter, he is not my type of hero i am afraid. I expected more of a rough and rugged mountain man, what I got was a reclusive anti social, non swearing grump.
The story was well written and the unexpected twists enjoyable but overall not a wow for me.
Cabin Fever was a great read. Olivia and Carter were both super annoying at times but I did end up liking them. They were total opposites but were great together. Looking forward to reading more.
This book was a good read for the most part. Olivia is an extremely spoiled brat, who acts very child like at times and this made it hard for me to like her at first. Carter grew up sheltered in the mountains of Maine and is a very likable character. The writing is done well also. You get love, romance, sexiness and suspense that will keep your interest throughout the book.
This is a new author to me and although I didn’t like the book, I would read more by her. Her writing style and whit are great to read. The heroine, Olivia, really bothered me and was hard to read. She was spoiled and clueless. I have no idea how Carter fell in love with her!
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
At first I thought the book was a bit slow, but once it got going I was intrigued. Both characters are so different than normal but they fit so well. The more we got back story, the better you understood them both
As the synopsis states Olivia Love has chosen to do a runner. And what a day to do it on, her wedding day!! But considering what she has seen could you blame her? I know I can’t!
For Olivia, the biggest downside is that she has to run down a mountain! When Olivia finds a cabin that she thinks is empty she feels relief. That relief is short-lived when she realises there’s no phone, no heating, nothing! And then a gun-toting man turns up, making her feel even more uneasy!
Carter lives in his cabin on his own and enjoys his simple life as a sheep farmer. He doesn’t want anyone else in his life except his dog and his sheep. So when he returns home to find Olivia in his cabin, he’s not sure what to think, except to get rid of her one way or another.
Cabin Fever is a witty, funny, sarcastic romantic story of an accidental meeting of two individuals. It’s not an insta-love story, these two have their own demons to overcome and they need to learn to trust before they can accept any kind of love that is offered.
The pieces of Cabin Fever begin to come together a little like a jigsaw puzzle, as they begin to slot into place it makes the desire to know more becomes stronger, making you want to read just one more chapter… then another and another
The characters are deceptive in that they appear to be so alike, but yet they so different.
I think that Elizabeth has got the mix of romance, wit, sarcasm, and humour spot on. She also includes a few twists and turns to keep the readers on their toes and to keep them guessing at what might happen next.
I couldn’t stop reading this book. I can’t wait for the next installment in the Lost and Found Series.
Very good and unique romance between two opposites. Olivia ran from her wedding because her fiance was cheating on her just before the ceremony. She ran up into the mountains and got lost. The cabin she took refuge in is owned by a rough mountain man named Carter. Carter lives the life of a minimalist whereas Olivia has servants, drivers etc. There are numerous humorous episodes in this story that have the reader chuckling or outright laughing. The story has some intrigue and suspense as well. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author and in this series.
Olivia runs away from her wedding away from her whole world into a new life that turns her life into a new life.
Carter lives as a recluse not wanting anything to disrupt his loner world until he comes home to someone he thinks is out to rob him. Only to find Olivia the run away bride socialite and she turns his and her world around.
Sweet, funny and in life changing.
A witty, funny, sarcastic, romance involving an accidental meeting of two people thrown together who have to learn to trust before they can find the love they are looking for.
