a new twist on a romance novel, very enjoyable.
It sure is a page- turner.
Love it totally.
Sweet story, easy read, premise is a little bit far fetched, but I enjoyed the book.
Love the book, couldn’t put it down
Hard to put it down.
Incredible story about orphan and how she CREATED a life for herself after the
Syztem with perseverance and drive. Great clean romance.
Heartwarming, Hopeful & Hungry…yes I said hungry. The author does such a good job of describing the food Dwight cooks at The Maple Pit, my stomach growled every time it was mentioned. This isn’t a food book, though. It is the story of a woman with no family, looking for a husband. Nina is well-educated, has a good job, and a good bank account. She advertises for a husband, offering a dowry. After a couple of duds, she meets Dwight, he is a fine man, good looking, family oriented, and a hard worker. Their love story is full of bumps in the road. His mother being one of them. Her doubts being another. I won’t give any spoilers. This is just a wonderful book about what family really means and ultimately love.
I stayed up late into the night to finish this book in one sitting. It is so good! I highly recommend it!
I was pleasantly surprised at the story line and think the Author did a great job of developing the characters and not rushing the story line!
I liked this book, easy to read and godly. So many books are about how people were strong and made it through on their own, calling on God only in desperate times. One thing that really bothered me was not dealing with Mom and sister and their rejection of this girl. Yeah, they had their reasons, but biblically what they did was not appropriate. To not like her is one thing; to treat her like dirt and sit all pious in church has gone on too long in the Christian world! Enough. Grow up. Ah, whew, in the end…NO. Be godly ALL the time. (end of rant). I especially appreciated the emphasis on family-less children and what happens when they become adults.
Just didn’t hold my interest.
Enjoyed the characters and also the information regarding the times we are living in .
Characters were interesting and relavent.
Enjoyed the family bickering and being honest to apologize when wrong.
Great story
I really enjoyed this book – what a treat to read a book that wasn’t full of explicit sex. I was just a fun read with a very unique plot. LOVED it! 5 stars!
Great read. Loved the ending. Characters were down to earth and protrayed a very realistic story.
I’m about halfway through this book right now and am loving it. I like the idea of a woman advertising for a husband and having it end up being a love match that was meant to be. Dwight and Nina are both dedicated Christians and really are seeking God’s will in their relationship. It’s just fun that it got started in an unorthodox way.
