Buying Charlotte – The Complete ‘Buying the Virgin’

I have read every book Simone Leigh has written, never fail to impress. The story of the three Charlotte,Michael,James fantastic loved every story line, hot sexy kinky. If you get the chance read the series you won’t be disappointed. Love love them.

Brilliant BDSM, Menage anthology Deserves way more than 5 STARS. BDSM isn’t usually a topic I would usually seek out but OMG!! I am so glad I came across Simone’s epic anthology. I simply can’t put it down. It has it all. It has steam coming out of every page almost. It makes me blush sometimes, after all, auctioning her virginity isn’t something most girls would do. According to her contract, she’ll belong to her ‘Master’ for one week. Her decision was spurred on by her desire and the financial necessity to have a University education. Perhaps the BDSM scene wouldn’t be every girl’s chosen introduction into sex and Charlotte certainly isn’t in charge but her ‘Master’ and his friend who also becomes her lover make Charlotte realise what an incredible power she really has. She is a natural submissive, but she is incredibly strong with a pitiful, traumatised childhood Although she leaves after their one week together, both men want her back in their lives. After a few weeks, Charlotte seeks them out and their journey together really begins. All the characters are charismatic and very human. Simone’s anthology isn’t like other novels, where boy meets girl and after a lot of drama, insecurities and angst, there is an HEA. Her works are in episodes that deal with different aspects of their lives and although it is advisable to read subsequent episodes, if you miss one, you could still latch on to the storyline and keep going. I couldn’t wait to read the subsequent books in the series.
The current series has a massive 24 episodes, and short of writing a whole novel to review it. I will restrict myself to my opinions.
I never thought I would be so hooked on a story about a Menage MFM but I think it is a lot more than a story. I would call this almost a SAGA. There is so much more to this than just sex. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of it which, particularly the multi-partner scenes had stretched my blushing limits on occasions. For the most part, the sex is an organic part of the Triad’s unshakable love and devotion to each other. Their basic “unit” is strictly a heterosexual threesome. Apart from their loyalty and love Charlotte, James and Michael have for each other, there is an interesting relationship dynamic between them and Richard, James’s friend and boss and his wife, Elisabeth, who is Charlotte’s cousin. We also witness the wedding of Charlotte and Michael. Charlotte’s doubts, and James’s agony at seeing Charlotte walking down the aisle to Michael but that is nothing compared to what he goes through during the wedding night, he feels he must stay away from. His emotions are so beautifully expressed, it practically made me cry. Also, some aspects of their lives made me laugh and I would find it hard to name a book that had taken me on more of an emotional rollercoaster. What else is literature meant to do?
Simone is a master storyteller. Her imagination, style and understanding of human nature ensure a great experience for the reader. I love all her books. She writes sagas, with interesting characters, and the way she intertwines their lives is just so natural. To do that with a ménage BDSM storyline is significant because most readers do not live that lifestyle. Yet, she makes it feel right for the characters in her books. I felt empathy and sympathy towards the people whose lives are being dissected. Their happiness, pain, desires, insecurities and heartache are beautifully described and discussed. All three main characters, Charlotte, James and Michael have a deep, loving relationship that is far from just being about sex, although the temperature is raised often. Whatever happens in their lives, the triad is there to support each other unconditionally. Every page is interesting and leaves the reader wanting more.
Each new instalment is an eventful scorcher! Simone just has a way of winding a story that keeps the reader riveted all the way through. I absolutely love following the lives of the main characters and I can’t recommend this whole series highly enough. Love it or hate it, one thing is certain, it won’t leave you indifferent.
