I thought he bought me to save me… but he’s keeping me for himself. It was a girl’s night out gone wrong. Like some awful horror movie, my friends and I were grabbed in a dark parking lot and shoved into the back of a van.Coming from powerful families, we thought we were untouchable. We thought wrong. Our captors trapped us, violated us, and put us up for sale on the black market.Johnathan was sent … the black market.
Johnathan was sent to buy me so his boss, Lucifer, could have leverage over my father.
He was supposed to save me, protect me, and return me.
Not claim me and keep me for himself…

Love all the book going on book 3
Oh my god! You guys are awesome! I mean I couldn’t put the book down at all. I love the quirky sense of humor that the guys have, possessiveness they have for their women is great. I did feel sad for what happen to Beth’s friends, but also happy Beth and Sophia came out okay, I cannot wait for Simon’s turn I’m laughing just thinking about it. He’s a mess that one, you guys make a great team and did a wonderful job on this series hands down, until next time.
Oh Holy Heck! This is one steaming book! I was blown away by this story. Buying Beth is a part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I read book one in the series, but did not read book two. This is book three and I did feel I missed a small part, but overall it did not affect my feelings on the book. This book has so much heat in it that you had better be prepared. Pair that with the mystery and action and you have yourself one awesome book.
This book has a main plot and then also has a plot that spans over the series. You get to see the characters that were in the previous books as well. I liked the plot of this book. The title seems taboo, but once you read you, you see that there is more to it than the title makes it seem. I cannot wait to see what the next book has in store for us.
Beth is such a wonderful character. She is caring and kind, but she also has a strong will. She has dealt with some traumatizing things in the past, but she still has a spark of independence left in her. I loved her character. Johnathan is another wonderful book boyfriend. He is strong and rough, but also caring. I love alpha males and there is no denying that he is one.
The heat in this book had me sweating. These two characters were so volatile that it was only a matter of time before there was a combustion. And lord did they combust. If you like a dirty talking alpha male then pick this book up right now. Seriously. You will not regret it.
The writing style of this book was nice. I liked the steady pace. I also liked that the overall plot was furthered. This book also can be brutal. If you don’t like a bunch of action, then turn away now. This book had scenes that made me cringe, but I could not put it down. I had to know what happened next. I loved every minute of it.
Overall, this was a wonderful book. I loved reading Beth and Johnathan’s story. They are wonderful characters. I also really enjoyed the overall theme that seems to spanning throughout the series. I cannot wait to go back and read book two so I can catch up on what I missed. This is a standalone, but I feel it is best to read the entire series to get the full effect. Awesome writing and even better story!

Quite possibly my favorite of this series! Love all of them from this series. Great page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat and love all the steamy hot scenes. Awesome series awesome book!
Loved! It was dark and depraved and everything that is delicious we love about the Disciples series. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for more in the series.
Loved this series
Wow. Just wow. What a story!
I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This story can be read as a standalone but it is part of a series and contains characters from the first 2 books.
Triggers: kidnapping, human trafficking, talk of rape, murder, torture
**spoilers**
Jonathan, works for Lucifer, the “good” local mob guy. Meets Beth, a young woman out slumming in his bar with her friends. Insta-attraction/lust between Jonathan and Beth.
Girls are kidnapped by sex trafficking ring. Jonathan enlists help from Lucifer, Andrew, Simon and James to rescue the girls.
I don’t want to give too much away, but if you read the first 2 books you have an idea how things go. OTT/jp alpha claims his woman. I think the characters are likeable, perhaps relatable even though I wanted to slap the girls for their stupidity at times.
Action packed, lots of sexy time. HEA
Jonathan is the true definition of an alpha man. Impossible not to love him.
The Dark Side of Romance
I absolutely love this darker romance series! It has everything you want and not as dark but just the right amount of darkness. Jonathan was like the rest of the alpha males in this series who gets entranced by the heroine Beth straight away. I love how both Jonathan and Beth want to protect and care for Charlie and shows a softer side of Jonathan that you saw when he was dealing with Abigail in the previous book. Super excited to continue this series!
Intense, gritty and addictive, it starts out with a girls night out, but then it steadily gets darker and more intense as the story evolves. Jonathan doesn’t want to be a hero, he just wants to get laid, then it grows and, yeah, dammit, he does want to be her hero after all. There is some really dark and graphic Russian mob stuff going on, and then some even darker Lucifer stuff to make up for it. I was blown away by what happened to Lindsay, like when the whole story came out, and Amanda too. I started reading this book and stayed awake until I finished it, I couldn’t put it down. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series too!
Great story. Beth meets Johnathan and they both feel that spark. When her and her friends are kidnapped in the parking lot to his bar, he does everything he can to find her. Loved the 1st two stories and this one. Can’t wait to read what comes next.
I really enjoyed reading this story. The plot was good and the storyline flowed smoothly throughout. I loved the characters and thought they were well-developed and easily relatable. I will be going back to read the first two books in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book….
