I’m supposed to return her to Tristan to finish the deal. But now I’m dreading the day when I have to drop her off.Can I really do it?I’m not supposed to care about this woman. I’m not supposed to care about anyone, actually. But I care about Bellissima.
I have read the whole series and loved the Pearl and Crow relationship. Was a thrilling and steamy series. Couldn’t get enough.
Another wonderful installment for the Barsetti clan! I never want these to stop!
Warning: My review may contain spoilers!!
Buttons and Blame continues where Buttons and Shame left off. I love how these books mesh together. There is no time gap in between books. It’s just bam bam bam. Almost like one book separated into six. I really love that there are no time gaps. Thank you Penelope for not leaving blank time spaces.
In this book, Cane is falling for Adelina. He refuses to show it and he refuses to acknowledge it. He still plans on giving her back to Tristan, equipped with the cyanide pills. I love watching their relationship blossom. It’s beautiful that she can trust Cane after what Tristan and his goons have done to her.
What I don’t love, which I’m sure everyone else does, is Crow and Pearl’s point of views. I loved the books about them. But this isn’t really about them anymore. We shouldn’t get their POVs anymore. Just Cane and Adelina’s. I do enjoy how their story is going, but these three books are supposed to be about Cane and Adelina. Why do we need four POVs?
This book made up for the action we didn’t get in Buttons and Shame. We get to see Cane’s emotional turmoil over taking Adelina back to Tristan. We get to see him decide to get her back. We get to see the action. The kills. It’s amazing. We get that dark part of this romance.
I do like that this book is left off with a cliff hanger. You’re literally at the very edge of the cliff with this one. Like, wtf. I need to know what happens ASAP. Luckily for me, I have the last book in this series and so I do not have to wait to find out.
So many things happened in this book and I loved it. It was much better than Buttons and Shame. I have higher hopes for how this series will end now.
4/5 Stars
When I started reading I couldn’t put it Penelope Sky is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books.
WOW! Another amazing read from the Buttons Series.
Buttons and Blame is part 5 of the series – if you haven’t read the previous parts, I highly recommend them. I also suggest not reading this review in case it spoils any of the storyline for you.
Buttons and Blame continues the story of Crow and Pearl as they settle into married life and try to find a compromise that they are both happy with. And Cane and Adelina as Cane shows her what’s it like to be treated they way she should be, for another two weeks at least.
After Pearl returns from her visit to Tristan, Crow is really unhappy with her and doesn’t speak to her for almost two weeks – she put her own life at risk to try to save Adelina. Pearl is the most important person in Crow’s life but for how long? Will Pearl ever learn that she is not indestructible?
Cane realises that he’s made a mistake in returning Adelina to Tristan and gets a team together, including his brother, to go and get her back. Will they succeed in killing Tristan and his men? Will Adelina still be alive when they get to Tristan’s compound?
Buttons and Blame is an action packed, unconventional love story that you do not want to miss reading. The loyalty that Crow and Cane have as brothers and the strength that both Pearl and Adelina posess can been felt throughout the story.
I am truly looking forward to the Buttons and Grace. I can’t wait to see how this series will end.
This book is action, thriller, suspense, eroticism meets The Godfather. The series continues where it left off. Cane is supposed to give Adelina back to that pig Tristan. Crow is still furious at Pearl. And now there’s a new threat: Cane’s old gang is back in town and they want to take over where Bones left off. Ms. Sky continues to keep us on our toes and made me question everything! My only firm answer: read the final book, Buttons and Grace. Penelope Sky has made another hit with the continuing, dark, erotic saga of the Buttons series. If you’re not afraid of extremely dark topics, a lot of steamy scenes, I highly recommend this series. It will not disappoint.
OMG I can’t even process what I just read, what a freaking ending though. I swear just when you think things can’t get any better. I absolutely loved that we got get a chance to see how much Cane transform and that underneath that callous exterior there was a guy capable of love.
I don’t want to give to much away I will say that this does end on a cliffhanger and I’ll be eagerly awaiting for Buttons and Grace. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
