Beautiful
Teodora Kostova is a must read author for me, yet somehow I have missed this little gem. With hardly any angst, this story concentrates on a second chance at love for musician, King, and journalist, Nico. Their feelings have never really died, so love is resurrected with a sweetness that gives all the feels with none of the tooth decay. I love how the title is woven through the novella rather than being an afterthought.
Michael Fox made a sterling effort with the narration. He captures the characters of King and Nico brilliantly, from Nico’s initial fears and uncertainty to King’s gentle adamance that they will be together. Definitely someone to look out for in the future.
This shortish love story shows off Teodora Kostova’s strength as a writer, what could so easily have been fluff-without-substance turns into an engaging story about how true love never dies. Don’t get me wrong, this is still fluffy, but we also get a side of real feelings and a little bit of angst.
I love how we get to see King’s world weariness and how in all that his love for Nico is still as strong. No matter what, King’s feelings don’t waver. Nico and King made me root for them and feel their genuine connection.
I listened to the audio book and Michael Fox’s narration was easy to listen to and he gave all the characters voices that fit them.
Dreams don’t always come true…especially if your dreams take you separate places. So if you’re given a second chance take it.
Listen to the lyrics…they’ll tell the story inside my heart.
4.5 Stars!
I liked Nico, and although I understood why he wavered about giving King a second chance, I wanted to shake him and tell him to just get over his fear. *sighs* I loved King, though! He was definitely my favorite. Yes, he let himself be swept into stardom and allowed Nico to go away, but when he realized Nico was what was missing in his life, he did everything he needed to to get him back and damn if they weren’t amazing and so very hot together! *fans self*
Still, this was a lovely novella, emotional, very sexy and despite its length, it felt very complete. Since I’m not a fan of flashbacks, I loved that Ms. Kostova started the story when King and Nico were younger and built on from then. Highly recommended!

Nico and King. This is a great quick read with the MCs being in love as teenagers and then breaking apart due to careers but always loving from afar. Life changes, times change and love gets a second chance
” ’ . . , , .”
Beautiful, isn’t it?
Truth be told, to me,everything about this story is beautiful…excruciatingly so. Because King and Nico have for each other that unique kind of love that reaches deeply,to the marrow of their bones. The kind of love that, once they part ways, left them staggering through life, functioning with only half of their souls, lost and incomplete.
Years ago, when King’s career was only taking off,Nico decided to let him go. But he blew a fragile wish into the wind,a feeble pray for a future reunion with the love of his life.
Will fate grant Nico his wish?
Read and experience knowing the truest of love, losing it and maybe having a chance at getting it back.
Just read it. You’ll love it.
A magical tale of love and second chances!
I was invested in the story from page one and could not believe, how I cheered the characters on! Teodora Kostova did a brilliant job in capturing a host of different emotions so they are almost palpable!
It’s not an easy task to make a shorter story like this one work and feel wholesome, but there is nothing missing! It all makes sense, follows a great progression of plot and focuses on all the important bits!
Loved it!!!!
