Some secrets are better left buried… realized. Her only saving grace is Baz, the elusive playboy she’s given her heart to. But will placing her trust in a man like Baz be her downfall?
To say this been has been highly anticipated is an understatement. The cliffhanger in book 1 had me impatiently waiting to see what happened.
The relationship between Mackenzie and Baz is difficult. While they have this amazing connection, their past is always tainting it. With all the secrecy and lies, I’m glad we had both POV’s. While there were some things we didn’t get to see, it was helpful to have an idea of how they both truly felt about each other. This story grabs you and makes it hard to every put the book down. There were definitely some surprises, like Ava and Marcus. I’m not sure how I feel about Marcus. Of course, we were left wondering if Kat and Marcus had a book coming next. I guess time will tell.
This duet definitely is on my list of favorite books I have read. Not often do I read about two characters that have such a connection that as a reader I felt it completely. I felt it from the moment they met and I couldn’t wait to get to the HEA.
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.

Bury Me With Lies was the angsty and suspenseful conclusion to Mackenzie and Baz’s story. After the previous book I was fully invested in these two and their chaotic, messy and beautiful love. Their story was full of unexpected twists along the way as secrets were finally revealed and brought to light. The push and pull between Baz and Mackenzie and the bumps along their way made for a difficult and sometimes frustrating yet worthwhile journey. I fell so much harder for Baz througout this book and definitely wouldn’t mind being his Dirty Girl. After this suspenseful nailbiter of a read I’m really hoping this isn’t the last I’ve seen of the Savages especially a certain ‘villain’ who wormed his way into my heart.

Bury Me With Lies is the second book in the Twin Lies duet and what an ending. Action packed, drama filled, suspenseful and steamy this book will have you at the edge of your seat frantically flipping the pages to see how it all ends. The story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and you wont know what to expect. With twists and turns you won’t expect, the story will have you speechless at times and although the back and forth between Mack and Baz was a bit annoying these two got the ending they deserved. This was a good conclusion to this duet and I would recommend it to lovers of romantic suspense.

SM Soto has killed me. Bury Me With Lies has wrecked me for all other books. The heat was off the charts. I was afraid my Kindle might melt even while I was squirming in my chair. The plot was so layered. The secrets and twists kept pouring out from every page and my mind was totally blown. The characters were amazingly developed. I felt everything they did. I KNEW them. Their hurt was my hurt. Their happy was my happy. The tension, angst, and suspense had me holding my breath waiting to see what was going to happen next. I absolutely loved this book. One of my new favorites!

WHAT AN EPIC ENDING! I’M WRECKED! After the wild ride from the first book, I was so eager to find out what happened to Mackenzie and Baz, as well as find out what really happened to Mackenzie’s sister – and this author DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not only do we get to see the development of Mackenzie and Baz’s relationship, but we also get more insight into the relationship between Mackenzie and her parents, as well as Baz and the rest of the Savage boys. Without giving anything away, this book does provide us all the answers and then some to this storyline. We also get a full circle for Mackenzie’s sister Madison and her story, and the reasoning and background as to why she made the decisions she did. I fell in love with this series in the first book, but became obsessed in the second book, and this book had the right amount of storyline and background to even it out. Seriously – go read this book it will NOT disappoint! I can’t wait to see what happens next and if we get a story for Marcus and updates on the other Savage boys.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Oh. My. God. This book!!! Bury Me with Lies is the EPIC conclusion of the Twin Lies duet by S. M. Soto. I am blown away!! There is so many twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat dying to find out how Baz and Mackenzie were going to get their HEA. I went through so many feelings reading this book. At times I wanted to shake Mackenzie, or punch Baz and kill the rest of the savages, but I also swooned when Baz was in protective mode and fanned myself when reading the hot AF sexy times. And I cried….there are some seriously heartbreaking and bittersweet moments. This book is just perfectly written.

Fabulous!! Such a great read. Although this book was long it was so worth it. This book has it all. I enjoyed the ride, I wish it wasn’t over. I love Baz and McKenzie’ s story. Baz is such a dirty talking, closed off alpha, but so hot. And Mackenzie is no weakling either. This book is also about both of them overcoming trust issues.

Turns out things are not exactly like Mac thought, not even close.
This book picked up right where the first book ended and I’m really grateful for that.Mac is in great problems and things are not looking good for her.On top of that she can’t trust Baz any longer, and her feelings for him are very strong.
This review is spoiler free,so there will be no too much information.
I can tell you that this book kept me on edge the whole time, and it build my frustration on unbelievable level. The push and pull between Mac and Baz was very frustrating.I was very pissed at them on some points.
It was forth it at the end.
Great duet and the author stayed true to the story. The plot was likable and characters made very big progress compared to book one.
I can recommend this book.

“I’m feeling electric tonight
Cruising down the coast going ’bout 99
Got my bad baby by my heavenly side
I know if I go, I’ll die happy tonight.”
Summertime Sadness – Lana Del Rey
What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Mackenzie is in danger. How did her sister die? What happened? Will Baz help her or be her downfall?
“And every time I see you in my dreams
I see your face, it’s haunting me
I guess I need you, baby
I make believe
That you are here
It’s the only way I see clear
What have I done?
You seem to move uneasy.”

This my second S. M. Soto read. I thought I knew what this review would look like when I was at 60% of the book. I truly did. This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I only read book one on Monday, so all the feels from book one automatically transferred to book two. This was a page-turner. I’d read two books the day during the day and I’d started this after midnight; I woke up the next morning and picked it up and ONLY stopped reading when I finished the book. What the twist… I was quite emotional at certain points. HOLY.
The beginning was incredibly strong. I don’t usually like my heroines in such clinical settings, but S. M. Soto made it interesting and definitely captivating. I was invested. I had doubts about how the previous book had ended. I NEEDED TO KNOW. We also got to know more of Madison and how she was as a person which I appreciated because I needed to know about her. Feelings that developed in book one strengthened here; I hate Mackenzie’s parents with a passion. I loved Mackenzie here because she was a top notch tortured heroine in this instalment. Whilst she got distracted and made stupid mistakes in book one, here, she transforms. She develops. I felt every single thing poor Mackenzie went through; it was just heartbreaking for her to find out everything that she did. I empathized with her on a deep level. Her relationship with her sister was just agonizingly beautiful.
Something else that’s beautiful is my man Baz. He’s one hot man. Steam’s coming off the pages when you read him. He owned Mackenzie and me as a reader in more than one way. LOL. I loved him in this instalment. He was a bastard; sorry, he truly was. But he was that bastard that you loved. Ugh, he entertained me. He was incredibly petty at times and I enjoyed that TOO MUCH. At times, I felt he was being sarcastic, but then I questioned the statements and I considered that he might actually mean most of the things that he said and it was even more hilarious and hot. The banter between him and Mack was EVERYTHING. Their chemistry in this conclusion was intense and overbearing. I rooted for them to find their happy ending. Plus, I asked the gods of twisty and mind-fck romance to deliver me a situation and they did just that with the help of Big Boss Baz; S. M. Soto tied up ALL THE LOOSE ENDS.
I loved the final 25% with all of my might. This was one of the best twists that I’ve read all year. It surprised the hell out of me. I was SHAKING. I loved how everything else worked out in the final 25%, too. Not many authors do that; they usually squeeze these moments in a shitty emotional epilogue but not S. M. Soto; SHE NAILED THESE FINAL MOMENTS AND SHE GAVE THEM THE LENGTH AND QUALITY THEY DESERVED.
Now, I’ll move on to the darker parts of my experience with this story. I’m utterly in love with the ending and I enjoyed the beginning a lot. I had a lot of problems with the main part. It felt empty to me. I was invested and I wanted to know more, but it felt like an empty shell, preparing you for the end. It was a mighty end, so I am giving FIVE STARS and an enlistment in my ABSOLUTE DEATH OF ME list.
I recommend this read to anyone who enjoyed or questioned Kiss Me With Lies (Bury Me With Lies is a rollercoaster; twisty and entertaining!), people who love a tortured heroine that will go to hell and back for her family and a badass hero that is so attractive and alluring that you basically get addicted to him.
“Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Oh, fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly, butterfly.”

“She is mine. Even if she doesn’t want to be.”
This story was a roller coaster ride full of angst, heartbreak, and mystery.
My heart burns for Mackenzie. Her pain. Her suffering. Her grief. I felt it all. She is resilient. She is undeterred and determined to bring her sisters killers to justice and will stop at nothing to bring them down. She is strong but she is haunted by her past.
Baz is Baz. Powerful. All-consuming. Relentless. He will stop at nothing to get his way, even if means showing is brutal side. He’s cunning. He’s alluring. He’s incredibly hot.
“He is in my blood, every part of him coursing through my veins.”
This story fell a little short for me in the beginning. I thought it lacked the angst that book one had. It dragged the first 50% of the book. But the ending was everything I could’ve hoped for minus one piece. But I won’t share that because SPOILERS.
All in all, this was a great duet. The angst was high. The steam was off the charts. The characters were everything.
“I feel like I’m finally finding myself. Here in the midst of chaos and heartbreak.”

OH-MY-HOLY-HELL!! Y’all! My heart, My head. I’m all over the flippin place. This conclusion was EVERYTHING! S.M.Soto is a master craftsman when it comes to serving up emotional literary beatings. This conclusion was all that I was hoping for, yet I was blindsided so many times over with twists and turns. I couldn’t have seen them coming with binoculars, Y’all! Everything about Baz and Mackenzie’s love story was Astonishing!
“Our love was unexpected—a chaotic blend of messy and beautiful.”
Mackenzie is back and more ready than ever to get to the bottom of the truth. But just how far is she willing to go. When she starts to unfold more and more secrets, She doesn’t know who to trust. Putting her trust in the wrong person could be catastrophic for her. Struggling with the battle between her head and her heart she’s not sure if Baz is with her or against her.
“His hold on my heart is eternal.”
She knows she loves him, but she’s torn and needs to protect herself while still getting justice for Madison. When Madison’s secrets start coming to light will Mackenzie finally let it all go and just let the lies stay buried?
Baz can’t trust Mackenzie, but he’s got conflicting information coming at him from every direction. No matter what he makes it his mission to protect her because no one’s gonna hurt his “Dirty Girl” Baz sets out on a mission of his own, punish those who dared to touch what was his. Baz has deep feelings for Mack but he’s hiding his true feelings from her, just like she’s trying to do from him. Their banter back and forth is heated and hot and from one minute to the next you don’t know if they’re about to go off on each other and or go to bed together.
“Because where there is hate, there is love.”
This conclusion will keep you on the edge of your seat. I stayed breathless for most of this book, gasping over and over again. I’m in awe and the amount of suspenseful greatness S.M. Soto stuffed into this phenomenal book. It was unpredictable and unexpected from chapter to chapter and I loved every second. Every jaw dropping, heart stopping, wanna throw my kindle across the room moment!
This is a MUST READ DUET!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
– This duet will go down as one of my favorites of all time. The twist and turns, the anand suspense, the heat and banter between these characters is unreal! There were so many things that literally knocked me for a loop. It was just that good y’all!
-There is nothing hotter than two people that try like hades to resist each other, then finally give in. Especially when your guy is dominant AF!I would sign up any time of any day to be Baz’s Dirty Girl, just sayin’ !!
Cliffhanger Warning-No Cliffhanger this time!!I’m so happy with the way this ended! #PerfectlyHappyEnding!

I thought I would love Creed forever and wanted Garrett’s book more than anything but Baz steals your breath away every single second.
You have to read the first book to fully understand the complexity of his character and more so, to understand Mackenzie and the force she’s driven to do and feel everything in her life.
There are so many twists and turns in this book that had me open mouth so many times that I couldn’t keep count on them and every single chapter had my heart beating faster than the last one.
Romantic suspense and steamy moments are my favourite things and the author has surpassed all my expectations with this story.

EPIC conclusion to this duet!
For those that were tortured by book 1, prepare for the torture to continue and worsen in book 2.
picks as up right where Book 1 left off. Our heroine, Mackenzie, finds herself facing questions and doubt from those around her. I was surprised by the start of book 2 and really the whole first half. It was unexpected and I loved the direction Soto went with.
BMWL takes readers on yet another roller coaster of emotions involving hidden lies, betrayal, and heart pounding revelations. Given pieces of the past through Baz and Madison’s eyes, everything comes to together slowly with dabbles of angst and steam in between. The story was put together so well! I loved every minute of it and hated having to put it down (you know…to eat, bath, etc). A vicious murder mystery with an epic (and sometimes impossible) love story weaved in.
I really loved it and I think y’all won’t be disappointed with how this duet ends! I also think this isn’t the last time we’ll see these characters.

Bury Me With Lies is the second book in the Twin Lies duet so make sure you read Kiss Me With Lies first. It picks up right where KMWL ends. After cliffhanger in book #1, I couldn’t wait for BMWL to fall into my hands. This book was worth the wait. I got answers to my questions. But the road to them was exhausting. The amount of emotions that the author evoked in me was enormous. I’m not saying I didn’t like them. After all, they make you turn page after page. I loved Baz and Mack’s story. It was a pleasure to experience their way to happiness.

Bury Me With Lies is wonderfully crafted story of betrayal, lies, twists and turns that will keep you entertained from the very first page! S.M. Soto’s characters are so complex and have such depth that you can’t help but get caught up in their stories. Baz and Mackenzie are such an awesome couple. Their chemistry is explosive; the constant push and pull is beautiful and heartbreaking at times. Their journey is by far not an easy one, but we can see that they learn to trust each other through their constant ups and downs making the journey unique. Highly recommend this book! Awesome job!

Bury me with Lies had occupied my mine during this quarantine fiesta. I was fascinated with the depth of anger and secrets within the story. Sebastian, McKenzie and Savages were tangled like a cobweb. This book was emotional gripping and justice was finally here
The conclusion to Baz and Mack’s story was phenomenal. The suspense and deceit had me on one crazy ride. This highly anticipated read had me on the edge of my seat and captivated by all the twists and turns. Damn, the heat between Baz and Mack was straight fire. This unputdownable 5-plus star book is beyond epic and is a must read! It will make you want to be Baz’s dirty girl! Yasss!
