Bury this book in love! 5 stars
At the beginning of this book, we get a little bit of the past. Then it’s off to find out what happened after the literal cliffhanger at the end of book one. My heart just absolutely broke for Mackenzie so much so that I had tears in my eyes. Then the first twist came, and it shocked me. We still only get bits and pieces of what happened in the past all the while the tension keeps escalating as to what happened in the past plus tension between Baz and Mackenzie. Baz and Mackenzie think they hate each other, but there is a thin line between love and hate. They still have so much chemistry, and the push/pull between them was agonizingly electric. But will they ever have honesty about their feelings or trust between them when there are still so many secrets and lies? Baz could be such a callous jerk sometimes then make me swoon at other times; he was such a beautiful contradiction. Mackenzie was a broken mess with the need for vengeance. Sometimes I wanted to slap some sense into her and sometimes I just wanted to hug her; again, another beautiful contradiction. Together, Baz and Mackenzie are a fated, beautiful disaster, and I loved and rooted for them. When the truth of what happened in the past finally gets revealed, I was shocked, heartbroken and crying. I loved and highly recommend this beautifully written story of intense suspense and messy love that when combined took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that I will not forget any time soon.

S.M. Soto continues with even more mystery, lies, and deception with her follow up release in the Twin Lies duo, Bury Me With Lies.
Now, don’t even consider reading this book without reading it’s predecessor, Kiss Me With Lies. Soto sets an addictive story line with a sister who will stop at nothing to avenge the death if her twin. It’s a riveting, heart palpating, and completely twisted tale that you must read beginning to end to not miss one single detail. They are all monumentally important.
In the first book, we spent much of the time in Mackenzie’s head, seeing her past and all the pain it rendered. However in Bury Me With Lies, we see Baz tell his version of what transpired leaving us even more transfixed, confused and doubting all the guess work we previously laid out.
Soto is exceptional. This series is absolutely worth every single penny you pay and time you read. I’ve never ever read a better book and I read hundreds a year as a blogger. Mack and Baz are a burn that consumes you cover to cover. Please read this addictive tale just so I can chat about it further!

i’ve been anticipating this conclusion to the duet for the longest time. KMWL had a huge cliffhanger and there were so many unanswered questions, everyone and they momma’s needed answers. there was plenty of angst, so many surprises, and twists and turns. it honestly felt like i was watching an action movie or show throughout the whole book. it will definitely keep you intrigued throughout the whole book.
mackenzie would do anything to get justice for her sister. she would do whatever it takes to get the truth even if it puts her in danger. i definitely liked her better in book one. i was a bit frustrated and annoyed with her because she did not listen. like giiiirl. just do as your told *eyeroll emoji*. baz battles with his own feelings towards Mackenzie. but he very much still is protective over her and the way he cared for her was just too sweet for a savage guy like him.
baz and mackenzie’s relationship is complicated. they have intense connection, hot sizzling chemistry, but the lies and secrets is what keeps them from having a real relationship. i didn’t like that the first 30% of the book they were apart and their miscommunication was sooo frustrating. it was constant back and forth which was unnecessary and exhausting. their love wasn’t easy, but after everything they’ve been through, i’m glad they got their hea.
“In him, I’ve found a love that is rare. A love that defies the odds. One that defies logic. A love that makes every relationship pale in comparison.”
tbh, it dragged longer than it should’ve, unnecessary scenes, and still some things that i need answers. however, this will consume you, there is definitely some suspense, and if you’re in a mood for a good read, i recommend this duet.

Bury Me with Lies takes off where Kiss Me with Lies left off, and we all know how that ended!
I was anxiously waiting for the conclusion of Baz & Mackenzie and was counting down the days until I was able to find out who done it. Sadly, it was not what I expected; the first 30% of the book was Mackenzie recovering from all her injuries and isolated from everyone.
Once she and Baz got together it became more appealing and interesting, they fought a lot. It was conflict, more fighting, neither trusting the other, it was toxic. The book was long and basically most of it was mentioned before, the H and h constant fighting, sometimes longer is not better, sometimes less and precise it’s what it’s all about.
There is never a question of the sexual chemistry between Baz and Mackenzie, but even then they lied and fought it.
The basis of this story and the conclusion of the mystery behind the murder of Mack’s twin, Melody was in a way anticlimactic, which should have been the focus of this story.
I am a huge fan of angst but it must flow and not just to add drama to fill in the blanks. Of course, if you read Kiss Me with Lies you must read this because you need answers and find out if she gets her revenge and her HEA!
The writing was good, just the story was not delivered/conveyed as it did in book 1.

The long awaited, epic conclusion to the Twin Lies duet is finally here!!! I absolutely loved this book. I was completely sucked in and could not put it down at all. I devoured it so fast, that when it was over I was so sad I had to leave Mack and Baz behind. The story line had so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, the angst.. gahh.. I could feel all the tension between these characters bouncing off the page.
Baz, that man. I fell even deeper for Baz. His character is so formidable but once you get past all that, he is such a beautiful person to the ones he cares for. He made my heart soar, gave me butterflies. I can just imagine how Mack felt as I read! Mack is such a strong heroine. She has been through so much and my heart aches for her.
This story was exciting for me. I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. I ignored everyone in the house. I just could not put it down. There were a couple of questions that I am not 100% sure were answered (unless I missed something), but other than that this book was well worth the wait. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

Wow, book 1 was already phenomenal but book 2 is otherworldly!!
I couldn’t put this down even if I wanted. The story is twisted and confusing, you don’t know who to trust. The suspense was killing me. While part one was more about the relationship between Mackenzie and Baz part two was more about the conclusion of Madison’s murder and Mackenzie’s HEA. And she deserves it so much after all she’s been through. Lots of unexpected things happen, there’s so much pain but also hope and love.
S.M. Soto is capable to captivate you with every word she writes. I absolutely love, love, love her writing style. Action scenes are more than powerful, sexy scenes are extremely hot and the twists are so twisted you get whiplash.
READ THIS SERIES!!!!!
You will not be disappointed.

Read this review at your own discretion. Although I didn’t outright give spoilers, I think there is a lot of clues and things you might be able to read in what I say about how it all made me feel.
I’m not gonna lie, the first 50% of this book were really disapointing me. Lots of things happened that I wasn’t expecting and it felt like there was no progress towards the heroine’s goal, only setbacks and the hope that I had for her getting her revenge and justice for her sister was dwindling with each new chapter. And how things were going with Baz weren’t good either. There were too many pointless fights where they were supposed to open up to each other and tell each other things gthey knew and it never happened, they always ended u fighting and things were left off worse than before. That really got on my nerves and left me feeling frustrated with both of them.
BUT about half way into the book, things started to turn around… even when things weren’t okay with their relationship, Baz helped Mack get her life back on track. He gave her a new start with all the things she wanted for her future, well except the justice she still craved and deserved for her and her twin. This second half did the first book justice and was just as good. There were still so many things happening, unexpected things that made you second guess everything at every turn… you wondered who the bad guys really were… the things you thought you knew to be true might not be and it was all a big mystery that I was DYING to learn. And I did.. and I was completely shook. It was all so much more complex than I had ever imagined, so many more things and people were at play in the lead up and the murder of Madison.
We learned bits and pieces here and there, never really knowing if we could trust what we were learning or not, it all depended on the source. But it gave us back that suspense thrill of the first book and made this story even more heartpounding and breathtaking once it all came out. I’m still so shook over the whole truth you guys. Once the pieces all started to click, it made me so emotional. I hated some characters less, other characters more and I felt so much for Madison. I’m glad that in the end she was able to find peace. Her relationship with Mack was so strong, and it might not have seemed like it when she was alive because Madison was going through a lot and came off as a b*tch to her sister but there was a lot of love between them. It felt like after her death, their connection became stronger and the love between them too. It made everything all the more emotional and a tad bittersweet in the end. But even if Mackenzie would never get her sister back, Madison helped her get a family that would love her and support her unconditionally.
Baz was still fire. He was still the sexy alpha and gosh his dirty talk, damnnn. But we got to see a whole new side to him too… a protective, loving, will do everything to protect those I love side that had me swooning so hard. He was seeking the truth too, not just for Mack but for himself too. The Savages had been his friends for years and they all had been hidings things from him, things that he was not okay with in the least. Once he learned it all, he too would get his revenge on the brothers he once trusted but never should have.
Yes, I still wish these two had been more forthcoming with one another, till the very end they were still keeping secrets from each other and it never felt like the trust between them was real, there was always a second guessing under the surface and I didn’t like that. If only they had trusted each other more and had been willing to work together, I feel like a lot would have been different and maybe better, at least better sooner. There was a lot wrong in their relatiosnhip that could have been better, but there was a lot right too. And what matters is that they worked, they clicked, they belonged and in the end they got the happy they deserved.
Bury Me With Lies was messy but it kind of mirrored the plotline of the duet. It’s an emotinal, heart-palpitating, nail-bitting, frustrating read. It was a rollercoaster with its up and downs, back and forths but the ending was exactly how an ending should be for this kind of trope – shocking, mindblowing, emotional and pretty amazing. Baz and Mack got the ending they deserved and Madison while she never deserved the ending she really got, she got a good ending too, one of piece where she got to see the people she left behind moving on with their lives, seeking happiness together.

This is the concluding part of the story and I was so excited to get started with this one that I picked it up the minute it landed on my kindle.
This starts right where we left off with that dramatic cliff drive and the resulting aftermath and if the previous book was all about burying and hiding the truth this second instalment is all about exposing the dark underbelly of all there shared pasts and exposing the truth to the world and Baz will have to take a big leap of faith right alongside Mack if she is going to have any chance of succeeding in her current vendetta against the savages.
Its time for him to finally pick a side his past or his present.
This instalment is angsty it abounds with secrets and suspicion throughout the distrust from the previous fallout has a massive knock-on effect here.
We get to see both Mackenzie and Sebastion struggle internally with everything that has come to pass previously add into the mix there suppressed feelings towards each other and all that has gone down and it’s not surprising they are both wary and there was so much push and pull.
Hang in they do get there, just the road along the way is paved with many obstacles and its far from a smooth ride with lots of hidden bumps that certainly keep things interesting.
Fantastic finale and though there were instances that stretched the bounds of believability I put it aside on account of my great enjoyment of this.
This one gets a big thumbs up from me.

Holy Shite!
I am literally drunk, for lack of a better word. I mean Kiss Me with Lies just blew me away, and I about died when I got to the end of the book. I actually counted the days until Bury Me with Lies was going to release, and I nearly tore into it when I saw it on my Kindle!
The first book was so emotional and full of twists and turns, and I was so excited to see where SM Soto was going to take me in this next book. And let me tell you, it was above and beyond what I could have imagined. I remember stopping at one point, being stunned silent. I couldn’t believe the ride that she was taking me on, and I looked to see how much more was left in the book. I was shocked that I was only 35% in!
When I thought the author couldn’t shock me anymore, that’s when she pulled the rug and totally flipped my world! I can’t express how much I love this duet.
It’s epic, intense, emotional, gripping, panty-melting, and utterly unforgettable! This is by far the best duet that I have read in 2020 and SM Soto’s best to date!

HOLY HELL I LOVED THIS ONE HARD!! After the nice cliffy from Kiss Me with Lies, this book has it all. So many twist and turns you may feel like you are on a rollercoaster ride. Well I will say buckle TF up and be prepared.
I was anxiously awaiting this one because we may not all have warm fuzzy feelings for cliffy’s in books and seem to have to wait forever for the next one, but SM Soto make the wait SOOOOO worth it.
Having lost a sibling myself I can totally relate to some of the heartache Mackenzie goes through. Feeling the loss and not really knowing how to go on at first. My delicious bad boy Baz still can be an A-Hole but I still was rooting for him and them for their HEA.
This one made me lose sleep but it was all worth it in the end. I have to say I think this is my 2nd most favorite book from this author.

The conclusion of The Twin Lies duet, Bury Me With Lies is one of the most anticipated release after the end of book one.
This book is chaos. Tragic. Definitely steamy. Lots of secrets. But by the end of the story, it’s all about forgiving and loving your self to find that happiness.
With the ending of book one that just so intense, I have to admit most of the story line of this book isn’t what I expected to be.
But the ending of this book, of Baz and Mckenzie’s story is perfect!

Bury me with lies is the epic conclusion to the twin lies duet. After finishing Kiss me with lies, I needed Bury Me With Lies like my next breath. When starting Bury me with lies I just knew that we are going to be up for even more then the previous book and boy was I right.
You know when authors say they are deep in the writing cave, well I was deep in the reading cave and there was no coming out until this book was finished. As soon as you start this book, you become so wholeheartedly consumed and so obsessed with Baz and Mackenzie’s story.
I was hooked onto Baz and Mackenzies love Story and I knew that there story was only just starting as we had only just touched the surface in Kiss me With Lies.
All is not what is expected, the twists and turns this book had left me sitting at the edge of my seat in anticipation and suspense of what was going to happen next.
This book starts right where Kiss me with lies finished, in the massive cliffhanger that left us all reeling and spinning with what was gonna happen next. What curveballs was this author gonna bring in the conclusion book.
This instalment is angsty, and is surrounded by so many secrets, lies and suspicion throughout the previous fallout.
I loved Mackenzie’s determination and her drive to solve her sisters murder and seek justice to those who murdered her. I really felt for Mackenzie in this book, because all she wanted was the truth. She showed a lot of strength and bravery as she knew what she wanted and wouldn’t stop until she reached her goal and that was to find out what happened on that night to her sister.
Baz is the man that we love to hate, although I had always loved him. Baz is still this intense and dangerous man but throughout the book we slowly see the layers being pulled back as we get to know him on a deeper and vulnerable level. One thing I loved seeing was his protective, caring and considerate side towards Mackenzie.
This was an incredible journey that brings you through a range of emotions as the story unfolds and all secrets and lies are revealed every so slowly. Baz and Mackenzie shared a love that was so strong that you knew that these two belonged to one another.
Bury me with lies blew my absolute mind and I am still reeling from what I have just read. This duet that S.M. Soto has created has absolutely flawed me and it will stay with me for quite some time. It’s unlike I have every read and is 100% one of a kind.
The lies, deceit, betrayal, mind games and the hotness between Baz and Mackenzie will have you captivated. Te twin lies duet is a must read for all you romance readers out there that are into romantic suspense thrillers.

Wow! What can I say! What a perfect ending to this duet. To say I love this story is an understatement! This book is simply phenomenal. This dark romantic suspense is raw, emotional, intense, but deliciously addicting—packed with murder, mystery, and suspense! Sebastian (Baz) and Mackenzie are full of surprises—I was flabbergasted with the unexpected revelations that happened, but it was jaw-dropping good! I was sucked completely into the vortex of the world of the Savages, and I feel like I just got off a crazy wild roller coaster ride from hell! It was amazing and my blood was pumping like crazy reading this story. I was captivated from start to finish. BURY ME WITH LIES was so intriguing with its twists and turns—some you see coming, some you don’t. With the mystery and suspense, I was holding my breathe because it was a tangled mess of lies, secrets, games, and whodunit. Just when you think you have it all figured out, it takes a new turn making you realize just how wrong you were. It will be hard to put this book down once you get started. With the powerful characters at play, it was thrilling and shocking. Baz and Mackenzie’s journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, and lies. Not to give away any spoilers, but what I will say is that Mackenzie is a strong heroine who wasn’t afraid to try to get her revenge by whatever means possible. Some of the Savages were known to be cruel, vicious, and evil, but one sin can’t be forgiven—murder! From the very start of the story, S.M. Soto plunged her claws into me with this intriguing storyline. S.M. Soto delivered a powerful, addictive, intriguing, emotional, and all-consuming story that left me obsessed and yearning for more. This is the first time I read a book by S.M. Soto, but I assure you it will not be the last. I highly RECOMMEND this book and duet! You won’t regret reading the Twin Lies Duet.

Bury Me with Lies held so much promise and anticipation, due to the incredible writing and cliffhanger that was Kiss Me with Lies. I was fully invested in Mackenzie and Baz’s relationship, past and present. I had to know who killed Madison and who hid the truth. So many unanswered questions that this book would eventually resolve.
The writing was incredible. S.M. Soto has a way with words from all emotional angles. She writes some of the hottest bedroom scenes! The emotion and angst she infuses into the story grabs and pulls you in. The villains were very well cast, invigorating actual rage in me as a reader.
Baz and Mack were like a car crash you couldn’t look away from. They were so wrong for each other but for some reason they kept getting pulled back into each other’s orbit. They were both extremely selfish in this book and that made it hard to root for them to get a HEA. So many lies and stupid decisions they both held onto. Instead of working as a team for the greater good, they chose to isolate each other and make everything harder.
I will say I was not a fan of the somewhat paranormal-style story line this book veered off into when it came to Mackenzie and Madison’s post-morbid relationship. I was honestly waiting for the author to reveal that Mack was bipolar and Madison never existed at all, especially given the setting of the beginning of the book.
The novel was good overall. The pace was extremely slow at times. The story was very wordy and I almost wished the author would have lengthened it into a trilogy to help flush out some of the timelines gaps and jumps. So much was glossed over or skipped all together. I expected a much more dramatic reveal surrounding the details of Madison’s demise. It was built up as this giant conspiracy and left me feeling underwhelmed once the mystery was solved.
I teetered between rating this a 3.5 or a 4 star and decided to leave it at 4 stars. I liked the book, didn’t love it. It didn’t hold up to the suspenseful appeal of book one but was a worthy read.
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

After being left with a heart stopping cliffhanger, I was dying to get my hands on this book and some answers. This book picked up immediately after the first one ended
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this second half of the duet as much as the first. Yes, it was long and I have no problem with long books. However, the length of this one hurt my rating in the end. I wanted so much more from these characters with how long their story was. Their constant back and forth, miscommunication, lack of any communication, and refusing to learn from the past and learning to trust each other, frustrated me for the majority of this story.
I love the way the secrets were exposed and the way the story between Baz and Mackenzie unfolded in the end. I just wish it hadn’t taken quite as long for them to get their acts together.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
This is my voluntary arc review
Mackenzie has always lived in her sisters shadow but when the unthinkable happens she’s left to pick up pieces. Her life mission is now to find out truth. Will she be ever find it? She meets Baz while trying to discover the truth. He’s definitely attracted to her but will Mackenzie let him in?

I voluntary reviewed a copy of Bury Me with Lies (Twin Lies, #2).

Voluntarily Reviewed an Advanced Copy
Oh My!! Where does one begin? Bury Me With Lies has surpassed any thing i’ve ever read!! I was so engrossed that i read it twice, just to make sure i didn’t miss a thing! With all the chaos , my mind was reeling from all the events! This book was like watching a suspenseful movie! So many twist and turns!! S.M. Soto has crafted a phenomenal story, which was brilliantly written, into a captivating read!! Baz and Mac ” was an unexpected chaotic blend of messy and beautiful”. Incredible on all levels!! Standing ovation for a spectacular book!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
YES YES YES!!!!
This book was everything!!!! I was on the edge of my seat since the moment I started it!! This was such an amazing conclusion to this epic duet. Mackenzie and Baz are fire!!! These two had me screaming wanting answers and the truth. SM Soto made me cry, smile, and swoon back to back. This book picks up right were Kiss Me With Lies left off on, this book was truly one of the best books i’ve ever read. This book was filled of suspense, questions, and chemistry. Mackenzie and Baz are a couple you will not forget for a long time.
I couldn’t put this book down for even a second, this book truly deserves way more than 5 stars! !!!!!
