This book is everything! After the first book I had been so excited and anxious to be able to finally read this one. This one starts right where book 1 left off. Boy was it worth it and it went way, way beyond my expectations of how this would go. These two really are great and eveything that they went through to get where they are, I just absolutely could not put down. My emotions were definitely up and down with Kenzie and Baz’s journey. So, so freaking amazing

DENISE’S DREAMY REVIEW
I have highly and I mean HIGHLY anticipated this book, Bury Me With Lies, to hit my kindle the minute I got done with Kiss Me With Lies…
S.M. Soto killed it with her storytelling, intriguing characters, in your face suspense, and mystery that kept creeping around! I couldn’t help but flip the pages as I wanted to find out EVERYTHING since we were left with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger!
So many questions that were needed to be answered, lies and deception that were kept in secret, and all the while – Mackenzie and Baz’s relationship was rocky and untrustworthy!
“Our entire relationship had been tainted by lies, and now, we were buried in them.”
Filled with so many miscommunications, periods of NOT talking, and everyone trying to manipulate the whole situation… you will WANT to know the truth and everything about what truly happened!
“I feel like I’m crumbling. I am broken in every shape and form. My body and spirit are shattered.”
I felt for Mackenzie so much and I wanted her to so badly get the justice she deserved! The way she was mistreated, lied to, manipulated, and so broken down… Yet, she carried so much strength in her vulnerability. While I felt like she worked so hard to get to the point of contentment… I felt like I wanted more. I wanted more for her and them.
I absolutely loved Baz King!! He is BAE!!! He made this book for me! Everything about him screams alpha male, in your face, and luxury. Since book one, I couldn’t get over him! And while these two danced around each other for most of the book, I found myself loving Baz more and more! He is everything!! I loved all the intense moments while also enjoying the tender and more revealing moments he was able to share!
Lastly, although I was happy to know and find out the truth about Madison, what happened to her, and why things went down the way they did… I did feel like I needed more! What I felt was left with longing was Mackenzie and her truth and how things with her parents were left. I felt like a canned of worms open, but never closed. Also, everything between Madison and Mackenzie always felt like a competition, but then at the same time, trying to find peace. I just felt like these family dynamics could have been told more and we could have gotten a more clear sense of why things were the way they were.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book! There were so many things that I loved and enjoyed! And while there were things I wished there was more of, I still flipped the pages of this book like it was my last!!
If you’re into suspense and mystery alongside murder, lies, and deception with STEAMY AF romance… you need this duet in your life!

Sometimes you come across a book that takes over your whole world and completely consumes you from the moment you open it, this Duet is that for me. This is without a doubt the Best of 2020. I simply could not put it down, reading until the very early hours of the morning, leaving me suffering the next day from sleep deprivation but it was worth every minute of that deprivation. Mack and Baz will take you on an EPIC journey full of twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat utterly breathless and desperate for more.
.
I don’t want to give anything away because honestly this book needs to be gone into completely blind. But what I will say is that it takes place immediately after the Cliffy of Kiss Me With Lies and takes off running from there. You don’t get a minute’s reprieve during this entire book, it’s an edge of your seat ride from the moment you open it to the very last page. Everything that you think you know you don’t. I was left with so many WTF moments I didn’t know what was happening, and don’t even get me started on how many times I wanted to throw my Kindle. But every moment is worth the ride.
. . . , .
The intrinsic connection between Baz and Mackenzie is physically palpable, you can feel it growing and expanding spilling from the pages and covering you in the essence of it. Their connection is like a physical entity that you can feel every time they are in the same room, turning every moment into something more something bigger than even them, so big at times that it feels as if you’re suffocating from the pure strength of it. The pure passion between these two will live with me long after this duet, these two are so much more than I could have hoped for.

Selena has fully and completely Slayed this duet, from the beginning of Book 1 until the last sentence of Book 2, I was hooked. This story is what amazing books are made of, everything about these books keeps you wholly enthralled and unable to put down. Romantic Suspense | Romance Duet #2
Bury Me with Lies is the epic conclusion to the Twin Lies duets and it packs a punch! Twists and turns abound in the final novel and readers are going to be anxiously turning the pages in anticipation of what’s to come next. If you’re a fan of S.M. Soto and/or romantic suspense novels then this is a fantastic series to read! I was glued to both stories and enjoyed how everything came together in the end. The lead up to the showdown was a little slow at some points in the story (more on that below) but the mind-bending suspense kept me interested throughout. Based on this, I would highly recommend the duet to romance readers!
From here on out, I’ll be doing a few different things in my reviews. For example, I won’t relay the entire story line for readers because you should actually READ the book if you want to know what it’s about in depth. What I will be doing is giving MY opinions on things that I liked about the books, and what stuff was problematic for me as a reader.
What I loved about Bury Me with Lies is how the book started at a really suspenseful point- right where it left off in the cliffhanger for Kiss Me with Lies. If you’ve read that book (you must before reading this one) you know that cliffhanger was BRUTAL. Starting it out on a high point rather than retelling half the story in the beginning was perfect for me as a reader. I didn’t need a run down of what happened in the previous book and S.M. Soto didn’t do that. This could be problematic for SOME readers who don’t remember the fine details of that ending, but it worked for me. Another thing I really enjoyed was the tumultuous moments in Baz and Mackenzie’s relationship. S.M. Soto didn’t dial down on the turmoil to make it an easier read. Instead, she made it feel authentic based on what was actually happening in their lives. Too often I see authors write romantic suspense novels and downplay the real emotions to make a story “easier”. I don’t like this and am so glad that didn’t happen here. The feelings FIT the actions and were presented through the characters. Finally, that ending! I loved it. I do wonder though what for “for now” at the ending means… This story WAS finished so..?? I’m excited to see the news for this.
Now on to the problematic pieces. The non-stop fighting and lies (or what one THOUGHT were lies) was a little overboard. The communication between the characters was severely lacking in this department and it was pretty frustrating at times. Another thing that made me feel less than enthused was the time it took for us to get book 2. Waiting a few months for the next book after a brutal cliffhanger can make or break a book. Why? Because many readers have read so many books in between that they tend to forget essential parts (if not all) of the novel. Luckily that wasn’t the case for me here but I worry that it could be for some readers. If I were to give some advice to any author from a readers perspective I would say to make sure the length of time between each book isn’t too long. Otherwise you may lose interest from many readers. Obviously, I’m no expert but these are my personal opinions. Finally, and this isn’t a negative or positive thing (I’m feeling neutral about it) the ending felt a little rushed in comparison to the length of the book. The “showdown” that we were all waiting for only took about a chapter or two and was then done. I feel like all the suspense leading up to this event should have made for something explosive and it wasn’t.
WRAPUP
As a whole, I really enjoyed this duet (it was one of my most anticipated reads of the year). If I were to give a specific rating to the duet it would be 4.5 stars. S.M. Soto is a fantastic writer and her books always leave me satisfied.

This is the conclusion to the Twin Lies duet, Kiss Me With Lies must be read first.
I was so excited to start this book after the epic cliffhanger in Kiss Me With Lies that I dropped everything as soon as it hit my kindle. I was engrossed from the first page wanting to find out all the secrets, and wrap up the mystery of what happened to Madison.
I felt like this book was not as good as the first. Without giving spoilers away, I wanted more than what was given.
I wanted to smack Mack sometimes with the way she was with Baz. It seemed like no matter what he did, she still would not give him her trust.
I absolutely loved Baz in this book. If you thought he was amazing in the first book, then he will really steal your heart in this one.
I really hope there is more from this world because I would like to know more.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a book that will keep you guessing until the very end.
I received a free copy via the author and am leaving a voluntarily review

S.M. certainly knows how to write a good story. She knows her trade very well. The way she comes up with these stories that totally grab my attention, has me guessing on what is happening, knocks me over with her brilliance. Just every story she writes I think she cannot get any better and then she does!!!
Baz and Mackenzie’s story was so freaking good. Mackenzie is trying to get to the truth. More and more secrets come to light, not to mention who can she trust? Can she even trust Baz?
The ending of the duet will keep you engrossed in the story. I needed to know what was going to happen next. You will be on the edge of your seat until the end. There is a lot happening so definitely pay lots of attention. Also I enjoy very much the main characters that have fun banter back and forth, was so entertaining. Are they going to rip each others clothes off or beat each other. So entertaining.
If you have not read the Twin Lies Duet, I highly suggest you give it a try. The plot is interesting and keeps you guessing. The characters are fun to read, and keep you on your toes. I just recommend this series and really any story by S.M. Soto.

Bury Me with Lies, the second installment in Twin Lies duet by S.M. Soto is a very addictive and unpredictable book. I was waiting for the conclusion of Baz and Mackenzie’s story with flushed cheeks and when finally this book landed in my hands I went all in. The author with precise played with my mind, delivering a very unexpected, steamy and dark story. S.M. Soto surprised me with many plot twists and ended Baz and Mackenzie’s journey to happiness with a little teaser. Who knows?
„Love is setting someone free even when you don’t want to and hoping they somehow find their way back to you.”
Bury Me with Lies is even more complicated and explosive than Kiss Me with Lies. Baz and Mackenzie’s relationship is very complex and fragile. You can see how much they struggle with their new reality, filled with lies, secrets, manipulations, and deceptions. Mackenzie opened Pandora’s box and now everyone is suspected and someone is very motivated to end the job, at any cost. Will Baz and Mackenzie, besides their rocky start, trust each other and find the truth? Will, it set them both free or destroy?
I really enjoyed Baz and Mackenzie’s story, it was an amazing journey to acceptance, trust, love and being free, mentally and physically. The snippets from their past let me understand the heroes better and their motivations. I had a hard time jumping from one emotion to another, the love/hate relationship, half-truths and lack of communication between Baz and Mackenzie. I understand their struggle and fear of being hurt again and I was really happy when they found the strength to fight for each other and their happiness.

After that insane cliffhanger in Kiss Me with Lies I was all too eager to start reading Bury Me with Lies and SM Soto did not disappoint!! This book is phenomenal on so many levels. You think the lies, betrayal and suspense were crazy in book one you’ve seen nothing yet! Holy crap there were so many unexpected twists and turns. Everything was next level and you have no idea who you can trust or believe. Baz and Mackenzie both upped their game, but Baz, oh my goodness! He is one dirty talking hotness of male who knows what he wants! I can’t say enough good about this book and deut. Soto has created an unforgettable love story with so many complex layers and characters. It was truly perfect and these characters will most definitely stick with me for a long time!

This book had my heart on a ride like no other and I went across the board. This book was everything I have come to expect from this author and by no means was I disappointed. The characters, the twists, the not knowing who I can trust created for the most amazing read that I didn’t want to end.

I loved Baz and Mackenzie’s characters. Their relationship was a difficult one filled with hurt, anger, and distrust. It’s a story filled with danger, intrigue, and a nine year old murder mystery that left me a little teary eyed by the end. The storyline is brilliant with some fantastic twists, but as in the first book, for me it was just too long and a bit repetitive. Now I’m a read every word kind of reader, but I will admit that I did speed read quite a bit of the middle of this book. It is a great book though, and I do recommend it!

To say I’ve been anticipating the conclusion of the Twin Lies duet would be a huge understatement. After that cliffhanger at the end of Kiss Me with Lies I still desperately needed answers and as soon as I started Bury Me with Lies, I was on the edge of my seat needing to know how everything would end.
My heart ached for Mackenzie and everything that’d happened to her and everything she’s still going through. More than anything I wanted to wrap her up and hug her tight. Mackenzie is such a fierce and strong character, and her fighters mentality is what’s gotten her through some tough times. She’s come far since the first book and she’s grown so much. I wanted nothing more than for her to find that happiness she undoubtedly deserved.
Baz is still the hot as hell alpha I loved in KMWL, if not more alpha this time around. And just like Mackenzie, Baz has come a long way and his growth throughout this book was astonishing. I loved that he showed his softer side and loved that he knew what he wanted and didn’t allow anything to get in his way. Baz deserves happiness and I desperately needed him to get it.
Mackenzie and Baz’s passion is just as fiery hot as ever. Their chemistry is scorching and combustible. Their journey is anything but easy, and there are countless obstacles, but in the end everything they’ve faced will only make their relationship that much stronger and unbreakable.
Bury Me with Lies brought the suspense and intrigue. It was an intense rollercoaster of emotions and was filled with surprise after surprise after surprise. Jam packed with nonstop shock, twists and turns, and jaw dropping WTF moments. The conclusion of the Twin Lies duet was everything addicting, and there’s no question that Mackenzie and Baz will stay with me for a long time.

We finally have the conclusion to Baz and Mack’s story and it was amazing! Bury Me with Lies is one of my most anticipated reads for 2020, and S.M. Soto did not let me down.
Bury Me with Lies did start out much slower than I anticipated. I was a little worried about it, but once things started happening they really started happening.
The deceit and twist in this book had me on the edge of my seat. I really don’t think there is one person in this debut that did not lie. Literally you could trust no one! My heart hurt for Mackenzie and everything she was going through. Her parents are terrible, ugly people who do not deserve her.
Baz King is an a**hole all the way, but he’s an a**hole who cares. He has a terrible way of showing it most of the time, and that could be because he was battle internally with that love. He never wanted to love Mack just use her.
Bury Me With Lies is a rollercoaster of a ride. I thought it would go left and it went right, and the next thing I know it’s up so high just to go back down 50 feet at 100 miles an hour. Once I got past the beginning of the book I could not put it down.
I absolutely loved the Twin Lies Duet, and Baz and Mackenzie! Bury Me With Lies was a fantastic way to end their story. This duet is a most read for everyone!

The beginning of Bury Me with Lies picks up where Kiss Me with Lies left off and spends about I’d say a good third of the conclusion with Mackenzie in a not so great place. I won’t spoil where, I’ll just say it’s not great, in fact, it’s a terrible, horrible place. But things pick up, sorta, and she’s given a reason to live, and that’s when I started to enjoy this part of Mack’s story.
As for things with Baz…let’s just say, they also aren’t great in the beginning. Too much back and forth, too much mis and non-communication, and Mack is pretty much done. Or is she?
I had a hard time deciding how to rate this conclusion. On one hand, I like the part with Ava and her new reason to live. But the relationship with Baz is a dud, and the answers we finally got about Madison and everything that went down before, they were less than satisfying for me. But yes, there were answers, so if you were dying for answers, you definitely get them. Whether or not you are happy with them, or very unhappy and very unsatisfied like I am, well, you’ll have to read and find out. You may enjoy this conclusion wholeheartedly, unfortunately I did not, I only enjoyed part of it, hence the 3 stars.

Bury Me With Lies is one of the most highly anticipated books of the year for me so far. I needed answers after that jaw dropping cliffhanger.
While I loved this story for the most part, there were still many questions I wanted answers to. Each time it seemed Baz and Mackenzie were going to take a step forward with their relationship, they took a step back. Their trust in each other virtually nonexistent, and the endless amounts of miscommunications as well as the lack of communication was frustrating to me. I desperately wanted more of Baz and Mackenzie – the real couple; the passion and indescribable connection we saw transpire between them in Kiss Me With Lies. And it just felt like unnecessary drama which didn’t need to be there. However, they did get their act together and got the HEA they deserved.
The book is full of unraveling secrets and truths being discovered as well as twists and turns going on, which made this book addictive reading from beginning to end. I didn’t agree with how some things happened in the book and personally would have wanted a different resolution for some characters, but as a whole this duet is great.

After the state that book one left me in, I prayed HARD that book two would be able to meet the expectations set, and I’m so glad to say this….. IT EXCEEDED THEM.
Everything we could have ever wanted or needed to know about Mack, Madison, and the Savages is contained in these covers.
We grappled our way through deceit, betrayal, miscommunication, deliberate oversights, and I could not be more thrilled at the way things turned out.
Honestly, I’m gonna be feeling this one for awhile.
It was a nerve wracking 8 hours, but I barely put it down, unable to leave this world while there were still things I needed to know.
I absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt recommend this duet to everyone.

Four long months. Since Kiss Me With Lies released of 4 long months ago. I want so HARD Bury Me With Lies since this time. Now that I finally got it I have no idea what to do. Selena put the icing on the cake with this book.
We can mostly read the story in present time, from Baz & MacKenzie’s POV. Where ended the Kiss Me With Lies, there you can read Bury Me With Lies.
The first chapter specifically outrageous me. I asked all the time: Why Selena? Why did you do this her? At the same time he masterfully twisted and twisted the story, I didn’t expect such a sequel at all.
I’ve highlighted MacKenzie’s courage in the first part, it is in this section too. However, in this part we can fell more desire for revenge, despair and helplessness. As regards the history that was understandable. After a while she couldn’t decide what’s true, what a lie. What is it that really happened?
Baz’s character is completely impressed me. He was relentless, single-minded and not quite as bad as in the previous section we thought. He wasn’t an innocent lamb, but it’s much better to understand his reasons.
Lots of lies, mistrust and secrets between the two of them, drawing a black veil on their relationship. Because as we all know once you lose trust it is very difficult to earn back. But maybe time is the key, that will solve everything.
This is the story of a master completion of the duology. All our questions will be answered. But beware! It won’t be easy, you will be furious, maybe you’ll be crying because of helplessness. But trust me it’s worth it! Bury Me With Lies will ruin you again and again. But in the end it makes sense of everything and rebuild you.

Bury Me With Lies is book two in the Twin Lies Duet and CAN NOT be read as a standalone
This book takes place right where book 1 ended and to say I was a little underwhelmed is an understatement. The story held my attention enough to keep me reading but it just didn’t go how I was expecting it to go. I found I struggled with the flow and outline of the story and feel the tone of majority of the book didn’t live up to the expectations I had built after reading book 1 which could very well be a me problem.
The first 30% of the story was dealing with the aftermath of what happened at the end of book 1 and it was frustrating but also kind of intriguing and I actually enjoyed it a lot. I felt bad for Mackenzie and didn’t like the way she was being treated but I thought hey its ok coz I’m sure in the end it’ll come back around and maybe it’s all part of a bigger plot or conspiracy theory and will somehow tie into the end (I had some theories and sadly none of that was the case) The entire first third was pretty much forgotten as the book went in a different direction which made me feel like it was kind of pointless to have spent so much time on that first third but thats just my opinion.
The rest of the story wasnt any different unfortunately. Yes we got answers on what happened the night Madison died but I also feel like we didn’t get enough answers there was still so much more I wanted and needed especially from the point of trying to understand the girls parents coz yeah i still hate them and nothing they did made sense. Tbh this part of the story made me mad mostly.
There were so many instances where I wish the outcomes would’ve been different especially with the Savages and how their part of the story concluded. Mainly Vincent’s part of the story.
As for Baz and Mackenzie there was way too much lack of communication, miscommunication and lack of trust in each which I can honestly kind of understand with everything that happened but I also felt it to be unnecessary and for me it took away alot of their chemistry and the relationship that had been building and I lost that connection betweem them.
I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book other than I just needed more from it. I personally did not feel like this part of the duet did the story any justice which is a shame as I thoroughly enjoyed book 1 (it was a 5 star read for me). The ending did say ‘The End- for now’ so I dont know what that is hinting at but if it means there is another book or part of the story still to come then that is further adding to my disappointment because I would’ve much rather this book be wrapped up nice and neatly but I just didnt get that.
I still think this is a story most people will enjoy it just wasnt for me.

This book was absolutely amazing it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering what is going to happen next and how it was going to end. Everyone should read this series
WOW! What a conclusion to this duet! This book continues the storyline from book one and buckle up because it’s a ride. You need to read book one first since this is a duet. This is such a rollercoaster ride that will play with your emotions. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing duet!
S.M. certainly knows how to write a good story.
Soto.
4.5 stars
