She wasn’t going to date him, no matter how hard he tried to convince her otherwise. There was too much to lose if she gave in.It wasn’t fair. No man should be allowed to be that gorgeous. Certainly not the sexy firefighter who she was supposed to be keeping at bay. Women’s eggs dropped at the sight of him. But not hers. Nope. Grace had things to do—finishing med school and keeping her nose clean … school and keeping her nose clean for her upcoming residency match, to name a few—and she wasn’t going to let anything or anyone derail her this time.
No matter how broad his shoulders were. Or how perfectly styled his messy hair was.
Or what his sexy grin did to her insides. It. Was. Not. Happening.
It couldn’t.
Getting involved with Ryan Kennedy almost guaranteed her face would be plastered all over Page Six. She couldn’t afford to be in the gossip section again. Not now. There was too much at stake.

Burning Her Resolve was hot! Grace and Ryan had a steamy chemistry and I was hooked from the beginning. Meddling friends who get it right were fun to read about. I am so glad the way things worked out in the end. Tess’ character depictions really have you imagining the characters as if they are right in front of you. I highly recommend reading this book if you want a fun, hot, sexy, and steamy read.
She won’t get on the same Merry-Go-Round a second time, but will she get on a different one for love
Burning Her Resolve is the sixth book in the San Diego Social Scene series and is the story of Ryan and Grace. This is a story that takes you by surprise and then takes you in several different directions at once all coming together in a sweet and satisfying HEA.
This is a well written book in which the author has woven a very engaging story-line with likeable and quirky characters and a whole lot of emotion.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This should be titled Slow Burn.
A sweet, frustrating, emotive story of a pairs journey through self discovery. Learning how to live their best lives as themselves and not being swayed by others opinions.
Will a distressing scene be the end of this slow burning relationship or will they get their happy ever after, damn right they will.
Overall a great read. I had a great time reading this book and getting to know the well developed characters with plenty. I would definitely recommend. Looking forward to the next book.
