Joe & Mel make such a cute couple. it seems like they where made for each other. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Burn is book #5 in the Steel Brothers Saga and is a continuation of Jonah and Melanie’s story from Melt. Helen is definitely earning the title of slow-burn Queen!!! If you love the twist and turns in the other books than you will love the ones in this one!!! Jonah and Melanie’s relationship is continuing to grow as more questions into Talon’s disappearance are brought to light! I will say poor Melanie can not enjoy a dip in a pool to save her life!! The cliff hangers continue but we keep getting closer and closer to answers!!
Burn (Steel Brothers Saga, #5) was a great read by Helen Hardt. Jonah is doing whatever he can to solve the mystery of his brother’s abduction. While looking for answers he found out things that tied to his best friend who recently returned. He is infatuated with Melanie, his brother’s therapist. Unfortunately it seems as though her past is catching up to her. I really enjoyed reading Jonah and Melanie’s story and can’t wait to read more by Helen Hardt.
Just when you think you’ve figured things out, nope, something else happens that makes you pause.
And is Jonah really a jerk?
Awesome series
Jonah and Melanie left us on the edge with their shocking and mystery laden tale so tuck in for more answers to this puzzle. Melanie’s feelings of guilt and self doubt have plagued her since losing Gina. She has studied her file backwards and forwards and can’t find the indicators that point to signs of Gina’s instability but nevertheless a young woman is gone. Jonah is battling the massive guilt he feels inside. His inability to protect Talon eats at him and the responsibilities he carries as the oldest are his to carry. Something about being with Melanie makes him feel like less of the world is caving in. Needing one another just might be the key to keep the darkness at bay, but can it fight the guilt?
Well, I need to talk about author, Helen Hardt. She has just blown my mind! I received “Craving” for free and it was fantastic, so I bought the remaining 8 books in the Steele Brothers Series. Then, I bought all 9 audiobooks because I love to listen to the voices. The narrators were perfect! The storyline was amazing; not what I was expecting at all. I love how a male narrator and female narrator took turns, back and forth. Each book tells part of the overall story, and it will keep you reading/listening till the end. No laggy parts. I highly recommend this brilliant series!
The intrigue and mystery surrounding Talon’s abductors deepens as more clues are discovered. Jonah is drowning in guilt over not being there for Melanie when she needed him. Even though they’ve declared their love for one another, he knows she will leave once she knows the truth. In addition he must let his best friend know that his father is one of Talon’s abductors. When will it end?
Melanie is dealing with a lot too. Lawsuits, complaints to the medical board filed against her, new information surrounding a patient’s death and her need to know Jonah’s dark side. She loves the whole man so she needs to see it all.
Helen Hardt keeps you wanting to know more and coming back to find it. She’s crafted a marvelous web of intrigue with fabulous characters and an enthralling storyline. Definitely a page turner.
The steel brother books just keep getting better. Once you read one you cannot put it down. Jonah steel is a great character the older brother head of the house, no matter how he torments and blames him self for what happened to his brother he is still a strong and a very mouth watering character who you Will love.
