Burn picks up right where Flame left off (with a cliffhanger of an ending like in Flame it needed to pick right up) so to answer your question Yes you need to read Flame first. What an epic couple! Gigi and Pike do Burn up the pages when they are together. Burn has a lot of emotional ups and downs, you will have all the feels. The entertainment comes when Gigi continually stands up to her badass biker dad (City from The Men of Inked series) about her badass biker boyfriend. Very well written. Love that the next generation of Gallo’s are feisty, sexy, and fun.
Another Gallo girl is coming your way after Burn. You get a sneak peak at the wild child that is Tamara. Hurry Chelle and write her story fast!
5 star Review Burn (Men of Inked: Heatwave #2) by Chelle Bliss
AUDIO REVIEW:
Before you read Burn, you need to have read Flame as this is the continuation of Gigi Gallo and Pike Moore’s story. I have always loved Gigi’s character and have enjoyed watching her grow into a feisty, smart, independent young woman.
Narrated by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor, this was a fast paced, hot, steamy story full of surprising twists and turns which will keep you on the edge of your seat. In my opinion Jason Clarke was in my opinion was the perfect choice for Pike; he really brought Pike to life for me and sent shivers up and down my spine with his performance. Samantha Brentmoor also did a fantastic job in bringing Gigi to life, her voice was perfect and she certainly did justice to Gigi.
There was humour, suspense, drama, angst and so much chemistry between Gigi and Pike that one was in danger of being burnt.
I have always loved the dynamics of the Gallo family, their stories are full of love of family and what they will do for each other and those they love. Although this series is about the next generation of Gallo’s , be assured the original sill a force to be reckoned with.
I loved that in Pike, Gigi has found a man just as stubborn, loyal , passionate and independent as she is. These two are perfect for one another and I am beyond thrilled that they fought so hard to be together.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
Oh. My. God! This book was amazing!! I have been impatiently waiting for the conclusion of Pike and Gigi’s story and Chelle did not disappoint! I thought I couldn’t love Pike and a Gigi more than I did in Flame, but I was wrong! Burn is officially my favorite of the two.
Pike and Gigi are everything! I loved how their relationship progressed from the beginning and how in love they are with each other. You get the rest of the crazy Gallos but I wouldn’t have it any other way. There were definitely a few things I didn’t see coming but it added to the story and made me love it that much more.
5 Stars!
Absolutely love this story! This new generation of Gallos are off the chain! I love how this family sticks together no matter what. I love the strength of the female characters. Chelle is amazing! I highly recommend this story to others!
Wow, what a book. I loved every minute of it.
Oh my lawd….. this book was AH-MAZE-ING!!! I thought Flame was a wild ride but nothing compares to the mind-blowing twists and turns that left me utterly speechless! Pike and Gigi’s story was filled with suspense, drama, laughs and the true meaning of family whether by blood or heart! These two definitely didn’t have it easy but then again, that’s what makes their bond unbreakable. I hate to see their story come to an end but I love knowing that we’ll see them pop up in many of the future Gallo books. Can’t wait for the wild adventure Tam Tam’s book will take us on!
Burn is the highly anticipated second book of the Heatwave series and it begins where Flame ended. There are numerous twists and turns for a fast-paced story.
There’s not much work at Inked with all of the danger going on! Pike and Gigi are placed in danger over and over and Gigi’s family always come to the rescue. Pike is forced to accept their help and isn’t happy about it. He feels that he’ll never be accepted by the Gallo’s due to circumstances beyond his control.
The Gallos are such a wonderful family, full of love, loyalty, and are such fierce men and women. It’s so much fun that the next generation is just as wild and full of fun as the parents and other family. Suzy tries hard to calm Joe/City so that Gigi and Pike can be together. It’s so much fun to watch City lose his mind over his daughter and how Gigi stands up to him. Pike also has more than one talk with Joe that Gigi is his priority and, while he doesn’t feel worthy of her, he loves her and will protect her with his life.
Pike has had very little love in his life so it’s surprising how well he loves Gigi. He thinks only of her and what will make her happy and safe.
Pike has massive family issues and due to certain events, he brings his 17 year-old brother to Florida to live with him. Austin is such a hoot and it will be interesting to see what comes next for him!
Gigi’s cousins, Tamara – the wild one and Lily – the quieter, studious one, definitely add to the story and I look forward to what comes next in this series.
I enjoyed reading this book! It picks up where the first book : Fame left off and you find out what is happening . I love reading more about Gigi and Pike and how their relationship grows and what happens to them. This book ends with a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to read the next book Wildfire! I recommend this book!!!!!
I have been waiting to read Burn since I finished Flame. I was happy to see that Burn picked up right where Flame left off. Burn definitely gave me all the feels. I love this family. Gigi and Pike are still just as hot as ever. Their love grows even stronger. I still think Pike is my new favorite. He is just like Joe, so how could we not fall in love with him? We couldn’t.
Burn was a good read. I just could not put it down. I really enjoy the Gallos. They always make me laugh and fall deeper in love with them. This new generation is going to be quite entertaining. I cannot wait.
So hot, it Burns
The next instalment of Gigi and Pike is finally here This book has a little bit of everything in it….drama, suspense, action, romance and of course conflicts. If you haven’t started reading the Inked series, I would seriously recommend using your holidays coming up to do just that This second generation of Gallos had me enthralled and often laughing so hard I got an ab workout
Loved Gigi and Pike and can’t wait to see what Tamara gets up to in her epic adventure Thanks to Chelle for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review
The conclusion of Gigi and Pikes story. They go through hell due to his father and must battle to come out on the other side. It is good to have family at your side and Pike learns that outside family can care more about you than you are aware of. The adventure never stop and now we wait for the next adventure with the Gallos.
Ahhhhh Fan-Freaking-static
It was beyond good, love this family more and more each day, seriously love my old time favorites City and Suzy, now Gigi is freaking amazing.
Pike, wow Pike he is like the perfect Prince Charming, I just love him and how things went down in his book had me on the edge, words fail me to describe just how good it is.
Made me read faster then slow dow to enjoy, but when things started happening I couldn’t bring myself to let it go until I finished it.
Another amazing smash hit Chelle.
So, this was amazing. It picks right up where Flame left off. I won’t say what exactly, just in case you haven’t read it, but seriously, if you haven’t, why the heck not?! And you need to before you read this. Makes more sense 🙂 Anywho, Pike & Gigi, all the Gallos, they’re all back here again. We get some more family in this one, new people, old wounds, past secrets and of course, more danger. But along with all that, there’s boundless amounts of love all around. And like Chelle says in the very beginning, you will run through every emotion. And there will be tears. Quite a few times my eyes were leaking and wouldn’t stop! But I couldn’t put it down and finished in one sitting. Just totally loved . And now I’ll try to sit patiently and wait for the next book in the series, cause it’s gonna be just as awesome!
Feeling the heat all the way through! Debra @ Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
We pick up where Flame (Men of Inked:Heatwave book 1) left off and so you don’t get the sense of time lost. This makes my memories of our characters refresh quicker and easier.
The action is still high, the heat definitely burns just as bright and our characters still have a love that can last. Pike’s past is still an issue and the Gallo’s are still the family you want to be adopted into. I mean I would like to anyway. We are united with our favorite MC boys some more and they don’t disappoint. Don’t think you won’t be surprised by anything cause this book has a few of those in its pages!
I enjoyed so much Pike and Gigi in Flame and their story burrows into my heart a little deeper after Burn!
OMG!!!! Burn is everything you were hoping it would be and then some! This picks up right where Flame ended, moments later. Just when Gigi thinks things will go smoothly with Pike and her family all hell breaks loose, again! Secrets come out that shake Pike’s world and puts their love to the test. Pike now has to prove once again to Joe that Gigi is his world and he will what ever it takes to protect her. Turns out that he will need to prove that sooner rather than later! You get to know his brother Austin and get peek into the wild child Tamara all while Pike and Gigi burn up the pages! The fierce loyalty and alphaness (should be a word!) you expect from the Gallos is in full force in Burn, bickering families, rival bikers gangs, not so dead fathers, off the charts passion….and I freaking loved every page of it! Bring on Wildfire!!!
The follow-up to Flame, Pike and Gigi pick up right where they left off. The ride is just as wild as you’d expect it to be with these two. She’s bossy, independent and a spitfire. He’s loyal and as alpha as they come. Together, they are the perfect storm. Action, adventure, twists and turns that you don’t see coming along with enough heart and soul to make you melt, this story has it all. I can’t wait for the next one.
4 1/2 stars!!
Well, there it is, the conclusion to Pike & Gigi’s amazing story. That makes me sad though because Gigi is such a spitfire and Pike is, well Pike, so yeah I want more!! I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of them though. Luckily we still get to experience all the other Gallos we know and love even though they are older now. They are no less lovable and crazy. Why is it these Gallos always leave me wanting more? Chelle Bliss slays it again with this fantastic conclusion. I love that this book literally starts where Flame left off and trust me, it delivers ALL the goods!! Family, love, trouble, action and so much more! Looking forward to Tam Tam’s book.
Burn is the incredible conclusion to Pike and Gigi’s story. Their whirlwind romance which started in Flame is still mired in a bit of crazy and a whole ton of excitement and I don’t mean behind closed doors!
Picking up right where we left off in Flame, Pike’s no good ‘father’ continues to mess up his life even though Pike left home years before. Just when things were turning a corner for Pike and Gigi, Colton Moore rears his ugly head and things get even more complicated. What Bliss does so well even in these spinoff books is show the Gallo strength, with Gigi’s Uncles coming to the rescue time and time again. We all want that kind of support especially when things go awry and with this crew, that seems to be the norm. I love the firm decision-making at a moment’s notice and the way Gigi’s family takes care of their own. It truly remains the crux of these stories.
With the addition of Austin Moore and the very independent Tamara Gallo, this book is full of twists and turns with trouble finding Pike and Gigi more often than not. There are plenty of tender moments between them but with Joe Gallo still a bit unyielding when it comes to his baby girl’s love life and all the mayhem that quickly ensues, this book is fast-paced and one hell of an enjoyable ride.
Hold on tight because when it comes to a Gallo, nothing is ever easy but then that’s what makes their books so damn addictive. Burn is well-written and is a true page-turner that I couldn’t put down. Chelle Bliss is in her best groove when it comes to the Men of Inked and I can’t wait for what she has in store for us next.
5 stars all the way!
Just when you think it can’t get any hotter, BAM! Chelle Bliss proves you wrong! Burn is amazing! Gigi and Pike are one hell of a couple and this book will take you on the journey of a lifetime. I loved it!
My Heart has been broken and Mended by Chell, Mandy@ Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
Burn Picks up where Flame left off with GiGi and Pikes story. And it has so much more emotion, Many trials and trying to keep those you love safe from the past sins of a “father” from touching the family you have found.
Chelle Bliss has a way of writing her characters with all the feels coming from them all. I love how she writes her alpha men with flair as well as her lady characters with sass for days. Truly an amazing author. I am patiently awaiting the next book in this series.
