This installment of Wishing For A Hero is another great page-turner that you won’t be able to put down with a twist that you won’t see coming!
Kait Nolan is a wonderful story teller who adds just enough spice, excitement, and mystery to make you feel like you’re right there.

*Slight Spoilers Alert*. Delaney has been in the background of so many of the Wishing for a Hero stories that finally her “story” is told. Delaney has a troubled past and doesn’t feel as though she is worthy of love. Sean is a man who family comes first! He and Delaney have had a thing for one another for a while without the other knowing about it. The story builds to a point that you aren’t sure what is going on. It is a surprising climax but as always a wonderful ending that girl gets boy and boy gets girl. The story that leads to this ending is fantastic. Kait knows how to build the tension when it comes to her stories. I will definitely keep reading Kait Nolan because her writing is as wonderful as her stories.

This book was soooo good! It was well written like nobody’s business. And the entertainment factor was absolutely out of this world. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and exchange for a free copy.
Wishful is a wonderful town that has a long memory. Delaney made mistakes 2 years ago and is still paying the price. Thankfully, Sean a hunky firefighter befriends her and sparks fly. Kait blends romance with a little suspense in a town full of supportive friends and neighbors. Make a trip to this small Mississippi town, you’re sure to enjoy the visit.

We have met both Delaney and Sean before – and I was excited to finally get Delaney’s story. My heart broke for her as she really had turned things around yet everyone was always ready to throw her under the bus. I just wanted to wrap her up in big hug! But Sean beat me to it – and what a swoon-worthy hunk of man that was. He never believed that Delaney could have done what she was accused of and quickly became her biggest champion. I loved how he talked about mental illness like he could not wrap his mind around why there was stigma. It was in his nature to see that Delaney had worked hard and gotten help, and he couldn’t grasp why anyone would focus on the past. The twist at the end is not what I was expecting and certainly added excitement! Delaney and Sean were a great couple and I loved their journey – I hope we get updates on them in future books!

Although this novella is part of the Wishing for a Hero series, and is not a lighter romantic comedy like the Wishful Series, it does take place in Wishful with familiar people and places. There are lovable characters although they struggle with real issues, and there is also some mystery and agin like real life they aren’t perfect, but you still want them as friends! It does have a HEA so you don’t need to read the whole series but you will want to! 🙂

Sean Murphy was swoon worthy. He was sweet, supportive and all around the best match for Delany as she put her life back together. I loved this book and the mystery twist to it. Thanks Kait for bringing this couple to life!

Can’t Stand the Rain, by Kait Nolan, is a very good story that continues the suspenseful Wishing For a Hero spinoff of her Wishful small town series. It is always fun to revisit old friends and develop new ones. I found the plot to be believable and intriguing, delving a bit into issues of mental illness that need to be normalized in fiction and society. The character complexity was pretty high for some and there were some surprises, so not totally predictable. It isn’t a terribly long story but long enough to satisfy. I enjoyed this story and will definitely be reading more by Kait Nolan!

Can’t Stand The Rain is another wonderful visit to Wishful, a small town with a plethora of characters. Some you will fall in love with, some rather unpleasant. Delaney has a past that some residents of Wishful will not let her forget. Sean is a handsome, caring, charming firefighter. Together they are delightful. A series of unexplained fires will either bring them together or drive them apart.
Although Can’t Stand The Rain is a stand-alone story it is also part of Wishing For A Hero series. We first met Delaney in Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and we learned some of her history. It is not necessary to read that book first but I recommend you do as it does set Delaney up nicely for her own story. I definitely recommend Can’t Stand The Rain and all the other books in this series. Kait Nolan is an incredible author and she has created a town and community that makes you feel part of it. Each story feels as if you are visiting old friends and making new ones.

I love Kait Nolan Wishful Suspense series! Can’t Stand the Rain is a page turner that I could not put down. Not knowing about Delaney’s past Sean Murphy asked Delaney out after they finished an EMT class. When he finds out he is there to support her. Delaney’s the only support has been her Aunt and things are happening again and people are pointing to her as the culprit. Can’t Stand the Rain is suspenseful with twists and turns and a thoroughly enjoyable read. I highly recommend reading it!

I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down.. much like all of Kait Nolan’s books.
Delaney is a character who we were introduced to in another story. I am glad she got her own story so we could learn more about her and see her life get turned around.
Delaney made some really bad mistakes and is being reminded of them constantly. Unfortunately that is what happens in a small town. Sean is new to town and there is an instant attraction between the two. Delaney is happy to meet someone who doesn’t know about her past.
Unfortunately there are several incidents that force her to tell him about her past.
There is love.. there is mystery.. and lots of romance!

This book is a nice addition to the Wishful family. The romance was breathtaking, the girl gets her man, and the sizzle factor was off the charts. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because the suspense was definitely secondary to the sexy romance. Don’t get me wrong – Kait threw in an awesome curve ball at the end and I didn’t even see it coming. Besides, who can argue against a hot firefighter? Another awesome Kait Nolan read.

What a great story to reacquaint me with my adopted town of Wishful. Sean and Delayne’s story was just the right amount of romance and suspense to keep me turning the pages until I finished! I loved getting caught up with characters from previous stories; however, this book is great as a stand-alone as well. Kait Nolan has quickly escalated to one of my favorite authors, and I can’t wait for more great stories like this one.

Kait Nolan does it again in this page turninf story about Delaney and Sean. Kait immerses you in the lives so you feel like you are there and can’t stop reading. Also, who doesn’t love a good firefighter story.

The author takes us back to Wishful. Though the books are stand alone, you would enrich your reading experience, if you read the previous ones.
This one belongs to Delaney Newell and Sean Murphy.
Delaney is trying to overcome her past mistakes. Sean, a hotshot firefighter and volunteer firefighter, is now in Wishful to be close his his family . Watching how Sean was determined to help Delaney was very touching.
The story is engaging and the characters complex and imperfect. The romance is sweet as Delaney comes out of her shell and she discovers that Sean is “her person and her rock”.
Kudos to the author for highlighting mental disease through the story, something we tend to hide or deny.
Though it was not my favorite book, it was still a good one. For me it was more of a 3.5, but I have great respect for the dedication authors undertake to entertain the readers.
I voluntarily read this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I couldn’t wait for Delaney;s story and it did not disappoint. Her and Sean are a great pair!. We all know it is a hea so no spoiler there but I will say loved the way it all wrapped up. Definitely a stand alone but would highly recommend this series.

As always, a wonderful story! Entertaining with a captivating storyline and great characters. Delaney’s story does not disappoint.
Can’t Stand the Rain is the latest Wishing For A Hero book by Kait Nolan. As with all of her books, this one doesn’t disappoint the reader. It is full of romance, suspense, and plenty of heartfelt emotions. I read this novella the same day I got it. It’s just the type of story that you can’t put down. I was rooting for Delaney and Sean in Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and I’m absolutely thrilled that they got their own story. Wishful is such a special place and Kait brings her characters to life, so much so that you feel like you’re right there with them! You experience all of their trials in life and cheer them on to a HEA. Another BIG successful hit for Kait Nolan. Definitely a “MUST READ”!!!
