One alpha man. One bossy woman. A fire that won’t die.
Once upon a time, Amelia was my everything. Until I lost her. Now I have a second chance, and I want her back.
She’s never forgiven me for something I didn’t even do. I’ve never forgiven her for believing the worst.
One look and the years apart go up in smoke. She’s all I ever wanted. A snappy attitude and the nerve to bring me to my knees.… attitude and the nerve to bring me to my knees.
We have seven years of bitterness tangled up between us. Yet, I can’t stay away.
The fire burns too hot. She’ll be mine. For keeps this time.
*This is a full-length standalone romance with a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

Dragged a little in the middle but still enjoyed it.
This *free* book was okay. The premise was realistic, but the writing needed further development.
No story line. Repeated original premise and didn’t move forward.
This was one of the better books that JH Crioux has written. The storyline wasn’t forced and the storyline had a good flow.
I don’t usually read firemen stories but I found the descriptions of Alaska and the heroine’s story interesting in this series.
Love so much. Expanding out from Diamond Creek stories introducing hotshot firefighters…um yes please!!! Female protagonist was a bit too annoyingly unsure of herself but Cade more than made up for it
A great addition to the series. Fun to see other series pulled together and connect the great characters created to provide a fun escape.
One of my favorite authors. Always a good read!
Hot. hot. hot
I loved this story. I was hooked from the first chapter. The storyline was engaging. The characters felt real. And it has a HEA!
I love this series, but the very first book has to be my favorite. It hooked me from the first page and now i have read almost every single book in this series! I love this book, and this is a great one to start out the series, though all of them can be read as stand alones.
The problem with reading one of Ms. Croix’s books is that they are so good you finish it in one day and then you have to impatiently wait for her to publish her next book.
As a huge fan, I was so happy to learn that we were going back to Alaska. Ms. Croix’s descriptions are so realistic I was sitting on Amelia’s porch watching the young moose eating the bushes.
Cade is a hotshot firefighter with a tender heart. Amelia is a tough, independent woman, with her own construction company, Kick A** Construction (loved the name!), but she’s too stubborn for her own good. When they were young, Cade and Amelia were in love until the day Amelia comes home to find her best friend Shannon in bed with Cade. Amelia walks out and completely shuts Cade out of her life, therefore never learning the truth. Seven years later, Cade’s on his way back home and walks into a bar to find Amelia in a fist fight wearing a wedding dress. It was a great first chapter.
This was a wonderful second-chance romance with a HEA.
Everyone loves firemen! Well hotspots are even better!! Cafe was all man and muscle and Amelia knew it!! But that can stubbornly will get you every time. This book was great. Held my interest (ah duh “hot fireman”) all the way through. Cannot wait for book 2.
** spoiler alert ** After leaving her wedding, the last person Amelia expected to save her was her ex. Cade left town seven years ago and is now moving back for good. Chemistry cannot be denied, but their past created problems. Will Amelia be able to let down her walls to fall in love with Cade again? Will Cade be able to overcome his resentment to fight for Amelia?
I have fallen in love with JH Croix and this book proves why. These two were perfect for each other, BUT I love how even thought they got back together, it wasn’t all roses and sunshine! These two proved to each other and their past that when they get past their stubbornness their is more there then just lust. Great book!
Join me, let’s walk into the flames of “Burn For Me” book 1 in J.H. Croix’s Hottest New Fire Fighter Series “Into the Fire”. It’s already amazingly Hot just what we like.
In this second chance romance Amelia finds herself in a bar wet, muddy and in need of a drink after walking away from her Wedding.
When a few drinks lead to a fight, she hears a voice from the past looks up to find her ex Cade. Amelia had found her best friend Shannon in bed with Cade which ended their relationship.
Cade gives Amelia a ride home and Amelia finds out Cade is moving back to town after seven years. As these two deal with the past they run the gauntlet of emotions and the sparks fly. Shannon stirs up trouble creating doubt. Wonderfully written as always you meet a load of new characters and enjoy getting to know them become part of the town. I received a free copy of this book, and voluntarily chose to review it.
J.H. Croix always blows me away! Every book she writes just gets better they all Stand Alone all have a Happy Ever After. Hurry grab your copy today.
Can’t wait for Maisie and Beck just thinking about them puts a smile on my face…
