From USA Today bestselling author Kimberly Knight, comes a sexy, imaginative, and engaging vampire standalone novel. Not your average vampire story …After Draven Delano fled his coven, he vowed he’d never take an innocent human’s life again. To survive on his own, he became a doctor, allowing himself easy access to blood bags and a means of survival without harming a soul. But an immortal can … without harming a soul. But an immortal can never stay in one place for too long. And he can never fall in love. When he moves to the sleepy town of Burn Falls, he thinks he’s found the perfect place to temporarily settle.
Until he meets the one woman who could change everything.
Calla O’Bannion believed monsters lived only in fairy tales. The night her father was attacked and left to die, Calla knew that monsters were real. When the inevitable happens, Calla makes the decision to move home to Burn Falls and take over the family’s distillery. As fate would have it, she begins a relationship with the only one who can protect her from the thing she fears the most.
Until she finds out what Draven’s been hiding.
Evil has chased Draven for eighty-six years. Soon, he’ll be forced to face those demons and break his vow—a decision that could save both him and Calla. Or it could kill them both.
Forever.

Burn Falls is my fist Paranormal Read… The blurb spiked my curiosity.. Dr.Daven was a Vampire since many moons ago… Living secluded away in Alaska to hide.. until he met Callan..
Everything changed … the story was well written and hoping for more as series?
This wasnt a scary read where it can haunt your dream…its sexy.. un-usually funny flirtatious to me.. fun and dearing…
I adore Draven sexy doctor for sure 😉
Ever read a book that made you super excited each time you knew you had a free moment to read? One where you couldn’t wait to find out more? Then when it was over you were bummed and prayed there will be more in the future? That was this book for me.
This is the story of Dravin, a vampire disguised as a human doctor on the run from an old evil vampire that wants to control him. He meets Calla, a beautiful and strong woman whose father is attacked by a vampire and Dravin treats him. He thought he was the only vampire in Burn Falls. Now he has to find out who this vampire was that attacked Calla’s dad and why he is in Burn Falls. And also try not to fall in love with Calla.. Dravin and Calla have no idea the surprises that are in store for them.
I am a big paranormal romance fan. And this book is definitely right up my alley. But this story is more than just romance, which by the way is awesomely steamy. But it has a mystery and surprises around every corner. Just when I thought I knew where the story would go I was happily surprised.
I highly recommend this book to paranormal and romance fans. You won’t be disappointed. You will probably fall in love fall with it like I did. There is room for a second book. I hope this author continues with these characters. I’m hooked!
I can’t wait to read this book! I love romance, and I have a thing for sexy vampires (Hello, Eric Northman, anyone??). Kimberly is a great storyteller, and I’m excited to see what she can do for vamps!
Edit:
I’ve enjoyed several paranormal romances centered around vampires, from the Twilight series to the Sookie Stackhouse novels (True Blood) and S.C. Stephens’ Conversion series. Typically, if a vampire is involved in the story, I’m down! All of the books, movies, and television series featuring vampires have a slightly different vamp mythology, different rules they vampires have to abide. Well, let me tell ya, Kimberly knocked this one out of the park! She presents a refreshing view of how the vampire world “works” and built a love story around it. I devoured this book! If not for the many demands on my time, I would have done so in one sitting. It’s THAT good! I cannot recommend this book enough. Whether you enjoy all paranormal romance or just have a thing for vampires in general, I think you’ll enjoy it. Happy reading!
A great paranormal read with a storyline which was imaginative and engaging. I really enjoyed reading this book. I think the best way an author can succeed is to provide the reader with an entertaining story which pulls you in and makes you feel. That’s what happened with this book.
This book is different from most vampire books I have read in the last few years. That is a breath or fresh air to find a different way to tell a vampire romance. I cannot wait to read more in this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a really good super natural story. Kimberly did a wonderful job creating a vampire story so different from any I’ve read in the past. Draven and Calla make a steamy couple. I could not put this book down and loved the suspense. As usually this is another book by Kimberly that did not disappoint.
Burn Falls is the story of Draven and Calla. Draven is a doctor that was turned into a vampire against his will in the 1930’s. You see Renzo is running the Chicago mob and wants Draven to help him rule. Calla has been working for a bank the past five years and has her routine down pat, but her life is very mundane.
While Calla is home visiting her family for Christmas her father is attacked and taken to the hospital where he becomes Draven’s patient. Out two meet, but do not fall into insta-lust, which I as a reader greatly appreciated.
This story did have quite a few predictable situations, but it also managed to shock me with some of the turns it took. It was overall a very fun read and worth the time it took to finish. And to me, the last present opened ended the book perfectly.
Not the regular vampire falls for a human book. There was twists and turns that I did not see coming in the story. I love the different take on the myths of vampires. Draven and Calla are hot together, I didn’t want the story to end.
I’m not a fan of PNR, but this wasn’t bad. It had the feel of other vampire books in some ways, but with a twist. There is only so much you can do with vampire lore without going so far off that people wouldn’t recognize it.
I enjoyed reading this, but it did take me awhile to get really into it. In usual KK fashion there were some twists that were very well written. I liked that in some ways it was kept more to the common lore than some other books.
But is it in my top books of Kimberly’s? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean I won’t read it again.
If I could only use one word to describe Burn Falls it would be intense. The developing story was intense enough that the book was addictive. The resolution was extremely intense, putting me on the edge of my seat.
I have been reading vampire books for many years. A lot of the stories have vampires with the same traits, except for the sparkle in one series. Burn Falls brought uniqueness, a fresh look at the vampire. I enjoyed the characters. I came to care about most of the vampires. The evil that the author brought in the story gave me goosebumps, shivering over how horrible one character can be.
The author used just enough telling of the past (fluctuating between the past and present paragraphs) to help build an understanding. Draven was a fantastic main character. His back history only made me like him more. The characters were complicated. The story was complex and I loved every page turning situation.
Audiobook Review:
This was a really good series starter for a vampire romance. It had good world building and well developed characters especially main characters Draven and Calla. There were a few dark moments that could be uncomfortable to some, but they gave me little pause and I still found that I enjoyed the story overall. It had a really good ending and a few secondary characters I would like to maybe see in future books.
Narrators Kylie Steward and Logan McAllister both did a really good job and only added to my enjoyment of this story. I’ve heard and liked both of them in other books but never together. I liked the pairing though. They both have clear and easy to listen to tones and I thought they were well suited for these characters.
I absolutely loved this story. I went into this book having no idea what it was about. I do read some paranormal, but it is not my usual genre. I was blown away by this story. It was romantic, heartfelt and had angst and drama galore. This story stays with you long after you read the ending. 5 stars!!!
I found this to be an absolutely fantastic read.
The plot was well thought out and grab my attention
right from the word go until the last word.
The chemistry between the characters is interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. I love Kimberly’s take on Vampires. For a first time PNR writer she did a fabulous job. You fall in love with Draven and Calla and you root for them through the entire book. I really hope there is a follow-up book for Athan!
Kimberley Knight is a new author to me. This book had a slightly new twist on a vampire story. I really enjoyed this book and loved Draven and Calla. I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more by Kimberley.
Couldn’t finish. Was getting lost and not entertaining enough maybe. Sorry
It was very predictable but nice easy read before bed.
A good compelling paranormal Vampire romance story. Intriguingly strong characters, it is well written. It is a pleasure to read this book.
There is never a dull moment in this book. Not a one! Romance, suspense, action, and violence are all within this story. I can’t wait to read more of Kimberly’s works.
