THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERIn her bestselling Alpha and Omega series, Patricia Briggs “spins tales of werewolves, coyote shifters, and magic and, my, does she do it well” (USA Today Online). Now mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham face a threat like no other–one that lurks too close to home…They are the wild and the broken. The werewolves too damaged to live safely among … damaged to live safely among their own kind. For their own good, they have been exiled to the outskirts of Aspen Creek, Montana. Close enough to the Marrok’s pack to have its support; far enough away to not cause any harm.
With their Alpha out of the country, Charles and Anna are on call when an SOS comes in from the fae mate of one such wildling. Heading into the mountainous wilderness, they interrupt the abduction of the wolf–but can’t stop blood from being shed. Now Charles and Anna must use their skills–his as enforcer, hers as peacemaker–to track down the attackers, reopening a painful chapter in the past that springs from the darkest magic of the witchborn…

Patricia Briggs hits it out of the ballpark once again
I really liked this book, but I don’t think it was quite up to her usual standards. If I hadn’t read the books that came before this one I might not read anymore of her stories. I definitely recommend reading the previous alpha and omega books and at least Silence Broken of the Mercy books. Definitely NOT a stand alone book. That said if you’ve read all those other books this one is definitely a good book and brings more insight into the workings of the Marrok’s pack! I liked it and enjoyed getting to know more about the holdings and Leah. I’m hoping that the next book isn’t quite so sad though. There are some of my favorite characters that need some happiness in their lives! Please?
Her books are romantic. They are also great if you like sci-fic.
I really like the Alpha/Omega series, but this one seemed to lack something, not quite sure what because overall it is a good story, well written.
Read the whole series.
Excellent story with a wonderful set up for the next adventure.
Anna and Charles are always of interest and Patricia Briggs writing is outstanding.
She pulls you in, and doesn’t let go! A favorite author of mine for years!
A;ways enjoy Brigg’s books and characters.
Always provides a good read.
This is number I don’t know what in a series, every book in the series is great, total page turners.
Love Charles and Anna.
Absolutely love this series, glad that this series has continued and hope for more!
I love this world that Ms. Briggs has created. I didn’t want the book to end.
I love every step of the way in a Charles and Anna story.
Great read, grabbed me in first chapter and took me on a wild ride
I love the series and the world of Mercy Thompson.
