Twisted Cedar Mysteries (a three book trilogy):
Book 1: Buried
Book 2: Forgotten
Book 3: Exposed
Reviews:
“CJ Carmichael is a seasoned author… and this shows in Buried. She has written a fluid, easy to fall into mystery and I’m really hoping there will be more books in this series. The first installment in the Twisted Cedar Mysteries was a great read and I can’t wait for more.“ – Cozy Reader
“One of my favorite elements of Carmichael’s books is her gripping portrayal of family dynamics.” Kathy Altman, USA Today

Nice mystery and an easy read but I did not think the author (a woman) did a good job of creating a believable male character. The story would have been much more compelling and the main character more interesting if s/he were a gay woman going home after a long absence. Lots of opportunity for steamy but frustrated romance and the solving of a mystery.
Kept you guessing!
Great read keeps your interest, twists and turns
I really enjoyed the depth of characters in this great read! I’d love to read more by this author!
Unoriginal. Ends without complete resolution but it’s not good enough to bother with the sequel.
Buried was my free book for the day, I enjoyed it so much and wanted to read more so I purchased and read, Forgotten and Exposed. If you haven’t read all three, I suggest you grab them now.
Excellent ‘who done it’ novel. Beginning with the title, the solving of the mystery was actually buried to dug up within the novel. Many clues lead the reader to assume the killer but the author uses the characters to weave an interesting story to reveal the killer. Surprise ending made me read it twice to ensure i got the authors intent.
Very easy to read. Keeps you going!
Totally enjoyed this book. I am an avid reader and it is one of the best.
loved all 3 books in this series; got one for free, bought the other 2 because so good.
still reading it
I like this book it held my attention
Enjoyed the book but seemed to drag a little. Also, this is part of a series and leaves some of the story lines to be finished in the sequels.
Really enjoyed this mystery and the way it unfolds. Had to start the second book immediately after I finished this one. I like the characters in the story. They seem like they could be real people. Some people you love to hate others you empathize with! Like the realness of the Oregon coast setting too.
This book took me awhile to read. It just did not hold my attention. While I did finish it, I have no interest in continuing the series. The book ends abruptly with absolutely nothing solved.
whoally predictable
Great read
The book kept me guessing to the end
Enjoyed book one (of three) but was hoping the plot would fully resolve as I don’t know if/when I’ll get to the other volumes. Still, the main character was frustrating enough to make you like him one minute and curse at him the next. Good summer read.
This isn’t usually my favorite genre but this book was very easy to read. Perfect book for a lazy Saturday!
