Hillary Raz wants nothing to do with her ex, Alec Thompson when he blows into town after leaving her for football five years earlier. Unfortunately, her bunny has other ideas. The energetic rabbit doesn’t care about a silly thing like a broken heart, she just wants to get her tiny paws on the bear shifter who is her true mate. But even though Alec claims he’s going to stay, Hillary doesn’t trust … trust he’s back for good, or that she’ll ever be more important than his career.
Alec Thompson’s football career is over. After a devastating injury destroys his superstar status, he returns home to the small shifter town of Heartland to heal and to reconnect with the woman he shouldn’t have left behind. But Hillary’s still healing too, and even though he’ll do whatever it takes to claim his fated mate, it may be too late for Hillary and Alec to find a second chance at love.

Great story, can’t wait to read 2nd book
A great shifter love story between a rabbit and a bear! How adorable funny and sweet. I enjoyed their town and cafe. A light easy, entertaining book!
Good humor and interesting characters.
Loved the story line
Easy read and entertaining.
A great story with adorable characters
I was a little worried with how the title seems a little juvenile but was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this book!
Not a very in depth, but good quick read.
This is book 2 in the series!
Possible SPOILERS
Alec has been away from his home for 6 long years playing football but an injury hasn’t healed the way it should and the doctor says that he can no longer play…so he heads home!
Hillary has been working hard & trying to move on with her life after Alec left but it has given her the chance to try new things…like extreme sports! Hillary is trying to work things out with Alec but it’s really hard to trust again although it’s a great feeling for Hillary to know Alec is willing to do anything.
Alec & Hillary are spending as much time together as them can and it seems to be working…..
Admission: I’m old school shifter fan–meaning I like my shifters as wolves, okay dragons too, big cats too, but okay if the story is good any shifter. NOW, I love the bunnies, at least this one.
This second chance at love story is sweet, hot, touching, add a bit of humor and an adorable inner bunny and bear who are hot for their mates even if the humans keep messing up. I loved it.
Injured football player comes back home to deal will his injury that keeps him from playing again, Even as a shifter he is done. Home is where his family is and the girl he’s loved since high school. The girl he left for the big time. Now he’s back. Even though they are mates, she doesn’t trust him and doesn’t want to be devastated again.
He wants her back and to make up for breaking her heart. Can they make it? If the hot little bunny and bear have anything to say about it.
A fun, touching read.
Awwwww. This was a sweet but sexy second chance romance. Hillary’s bunny wants only one thing… her mate. The man who chose football over her. The human however, can’t trust him. Alec wants his mate. His football career is over and he realizes he should have never left Hillary. Is it too late? This book was cute, sweet, and well I think Hillary should have made Alec beg a little more. Be ready for some steam… there is a reason the saying is @#&% like rabbits… some aggravation at old flames, and some down right awwwwws.
I enjoyed Bunny Hearts Bear and did not put it down. Did it hook me? No. BUT it did make me want to know what happens next.
Hillary had her heart broken by her true mate when he left her to go play football but now Alec is back and says he is staying but is it to Little to late?
Alec knows he screwed up and now he not only pushed his true mate away but lost the football career he left her for.
I love second chance books and when it is an alpha male shifter who has to admit he screwed up it is even better
Overall rating:4
A very sweet and easy to read second chance shifter romance. The writing is picture perfect and the storyline flows smoothly. It’s easy to follow so it’s a great afternoon read for a quick burst of sweetness. Makes me wonder if outcome would really have been the same without the injury involved though. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Hillary is a bunny shifter that lives in Heartland. Her ex Alec Thompson a now famous football player
Left her six years ago to go off to play football breaking her heart.
Now out of nowhere he is back. Her rabbit is happy her true mate is back but She doesn’t trust him, she doesn’t believe he will stay and he ripped her heart out once.
The other reason he didn’t come back for her, he came back because he was injured and his career is over.
Alec knows he should not have left her 6 years ago but he was only thinking of himself. He didn’t call because she said she didn’t want to hear from him. But once he got home he knew one thing he missed up. He left his mate
His bear was right.
Yea ladies this bear is in the doghouse! Lol
It’s got drama, romance, spice, and so much more. I loved the characters and all their drama. Lol
I couldn’t put it down. It was a fun read shifter romance fans
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it

Is it possible for someone to change after realizing what he did was wrong? Can he make it right? Do you believe in second chances?
Alec Thompson is a NFL Quarterback and a BearShifter who blew a knee out for the last time. Even with his shifter powers he’s done, his football career is over. The only thing left to do is go back to his hometown the Heartland and lick his wounds. Maybe even crawling, bagging for forgiveness.
Hillary Raz is a waitress and a Bunny Shifter who became a adrenaline junky after her heart was broken. No one will break it again!
Hillary Raz wants nothing to do with her ex, Alec Thompson. He left her and the town five years ago for football and never looked back. Unfortunately, her bunny is still set on him being her mate.
This was an ok read. I didn’t love it because it’s hard for me to imagine a fated mate just leaving for five years without a word. It just doesn’t work for me. I didn’t like Alec from the beginning because of this. He never really grew on me either, which is why this is getting such a low rating.
Hillary was an energetic woman. I liked her but it was hard for me to love these two because of how Alec treated her in the past. His current actions don’t make it up for me. Yes, he was just a teenager when he left her for football but it still really bothers me.
Overall, this was ok. I liked the idea of the town of Heartland. A fully shifter town sounded really interesting but this couple didn’t work for me.
Nobody wants to feel like second best
This book is a fantastic example of how when one door closes another opens. Well in this case it’s reopens. I really enjoyed how the author didn’t hold anything back with this second chance romance. Alec really had to find his center and learn what is truly important before he could win back his lady love. Which is more than a little difficult when it keeps getting pushed into your face. The characters felt very realistic as they struggled towards their HEA and it made the story all the better for it. I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.
Cute story. could use a little more suspense, like Alec getting a coaching offer from the pros.
I thought this would be better, I expected some LOL humor and it just wasn’t there. It was sorta cute but it fell short with all the bunny hopping inside etc etc. The bear didn’t really have much for bear qualities as I would have expected.
Meh. Nothing new here. Not much character development nor plot interest.
