While Dawn Luke travels to her hometown of Arkansas to tend to her sick mother, London Carter is called upon to investigate the murder of a young teenager whose body is found stuffed under the exit ramp of an overpass. It was apparent to London that the murderer wanted to make sure the kid was dead, but the motive for the killing was far from obvious.Summoning the assistance of Detective Rachael … Detective Rachael Bowler, the two are finally able to locate the actual crime scene and that leads them to the identity of their young victim. But instead of providing answers, the identification leads to more questions. Could a secret involving the young man lead them to the killer, or will it only muddy the waters and interfere with their investigation?
Whatever the case, this is one killer no one should take for granted–not even a cop as skilled and gritty as London Carter.

It kept me interested and made me second guess characters.
I would give this book ten stars if I could! Loved, loved, loved it! I learned slot about guns and the bullet drop!
Thriller! Twist and turns…..I loved it!
This reads like a military manual. While I like police procedurals, this author goes over the top as to be a bit boring. The level of cooperation and ability to get everything he needs when he needs it across law enforcement agencies and departments is too unrealistic. As a sniper, those skills don’t come into play except to teach the reader about considerations in making a long shot, just as he instructs his team. I may give this author another shot if the Book Bub comes across with a great deal as I wouldn’t spend 2 bucks on another work.
Actually liked Books 1through 3 better. The characters have run their course.
Unrealistic
Have read many of his books and thoroughly enjoyed them all!
enjoyed the plot, different from most
Thought provoking
This book is well- written and well plotted.
a book that keeps you gripped by the personal tragedies and well written crime story
I enjoyed this story and look forward to more. The description and explanation of Bullet Drop was fantastic!
Fast paced action and suspenseful after a slow start!! Enjoyed it!
A really good book. Enjoyed learning about the specifics of long range shooting. A tense murder story with deception from the highest levels. People you thought you knew aren’t really who the pretend to be.
Good plot and I enjoyed the characters. The end was hard to guess. I would definitely read more in this series or by this author. Well Done!
