While Dawn Luke travels to her hometown of Arkansas to tend to her sick mother, London Carter is called upon to investigate the murder of a young teenager whose body is found stuffed under the exit ramp of an overpass. It was apparent to London that the murderer wanted to make sure the kid was dead, but the motive for the killing was far from obvious.Summoning the assistance of Detective Rachael … Detective Rachael Bowler, the two are finally able to locate the actual crime scene and that leads them to the identity of their young victim. But instead of providing answers, the identification leads to more questions. Could a secret involving the young man lead them to the killer, or will it only muddy the waters and interfere with their investigation?
Whatever the case, this is one killer no one should take for granted–not even a cop as skilled and gritty as London Carter.

I loved the quick wit and daring characters…set in a small town with police officers and fun times ….every interesting moment was a page turned into suspense…I couldn’t put it down…
on the edge of my seat kind’a book
The suggestion that the crew at the shooting range did not understand about bullet drop at long-distance is not believable.
Very enjoyable read by an author that I have started following.
Real good
Good read.
Interesting characters you can jump in with. An interesting twist on the sniper angle and lots of good information. You’ve got chances to figure it out — and then you find you’ve taken a wrong turn. That just keeps you turning the pages. Gonna have to check out more by this author.
Interesting,quick read. Enjoyed, it’s a fun read
good read
It is an enjoyable read though it offered too many reader-clues to where the investigation was heading. I always feel a bit disappointed when I can read the clues to a conclusion before the hero
Interesting characters
An interesting and unique yarn.
Very entertaining murder mystery. It keeps you guessing right to the end, and then you realize you guessed wrong all along!
Borrowed (kindle unlimited) all of the other books of the series! Everyone of them with a great twist while continuing the personal narrative. Realistic and informative procedurals with page-turner thrills.
About a four star easy read
love. Love, LOVE!!
Very disappointed with this book.
Authors should always be conversant with their subject matter, this one clearly is not. Apart from the author not understanding the technology of gunfire, the stories sniper leader then finds that none of his deputies, all supposedly experts in this field, has any knowledge of “bullet drop”, or more correctly gravity deflection, a ridiculous premise and further, makes no mention of atmospheric friction speed loss which enhances the gravity deflection or lateral drift. All too naive
Cool twist toward the end.
The whole series is great!
Bullet drop is something anyone who’s ever used a rifle or gun should be aware of.
