He made my life hell. But now he’s back…and I feel like I’m in heaven.Axel Moreland bullied me in high school. The best day of my life was the day I graduated from that hell. And when I left, I never intended to see him ever again.Eight years later, I learn that my parents have hired his construction company to renovate their house. The thought of Axel in my childhood home makes me sick. I take … makes me sick. I take action to stop him. I tell him off like I should have years ago. He acts like he’s different now, but I know the truth about him. Don’t I?
To my shock, he’s actually changed. And to my horror, I find myself liking the new Axel. I can’t fall for him, though, can I? He was so cruel to me. What if he goes back to his old ways?
Right now, though, it feels more torturous to not give into my desire.
BUILT TO HATE YOU is a short hate-to-love romance with steam, sweetness, and a happily-ever-after!

This is a cute story that has bully to lover themes. The difference between this book and similar ones is that it just vaguely touches on those themes. Just a broad overview of the bullying treatment , just a brief overview of the sexy parts. It works. If you are looking for a feel good short romance novel this is the book for you.

Loved this quick hate to love romance. Axel and Mia were such a great couple. Thanks to some bad times in Axel’s life, he treated Mia poorly while in high school and she never forgot it. When she found out he was working on renovating her parents’ house, she was not happy. Will he be able to show that he has changed or is it too late for them to move forward? This is a good book to help escape for even just a little bit.

axel and mia went to school together, where axel used to bully mia. Years went bye and axel owns a construction company where mia’s mother wants to remodel her house and hires Axel company but mia finds out and tells him off , the attraction begins , and the chemistry is undeniable. Find out what happens when two enemies become lovers This was a good read and I highly recommend it.

Another great short and sweet romance book by Kate Hunt. The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written, with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.
This A Bully, Enemies to Lovers Romance is really a wonderfully well-written story The storyline is sweet, steamy, emotional and intriguing. The well-crafted characters have a wonderful chemistry between them and are realistic. Can he have really changed, is he a better man than he was before. Loved it. A must read

Mia and Axel knew each other in high school where he bullied her. Years later they have grown up and he wants to prove to her that he has changed and isn’t that mean kid from high school. This is a quick, lunchtime read filled with high school drama, bullying, regret and forgiveness.
Just like all the others in this series. Its a short and sweet romance. This one is about a bully turned lover. The time period for forgiveness is shorter then one would expect, but it’s a fast pace romance. Its a great read and i really enjoyed the characters.

Mia’s Mom calls her to tell her the renovations that they never seemed to be able to start are finally going to be done! She found a great company that could address all the issues they had been having. And the owner of the company went to school with Mia – Axel Moreland! Startled and almost hitting the car in front of her, Mia sputters, not wanting to tell her mom over the phone that Axel had bullied her in school and made her life miserable. She said she would call her mom back since she just got home – and she immediately did a search on her computer to see if he was disreputable, as she hoped so she could use it against him. But his business has great reviews. He’s handsome, successful, and everyone seems to love him. But somehow, she has to convince her parents to fire him. She couldn’t stand him stepping into her childhood home and touching anything at all!
Back in high school, Axel’s older brother had been killed in a car accident. Axel was devastated, but Sam’s friends, all seniors, took him into their group when he was drowning in grief. When they graduated and moved on, Axel had no friends left. He was in pain and angry, and he wanted others to suffer too. So Mia became the perfect target for his bad behavior. A teacher at the end of senior year sat him down and had a serious discussion. It turned his life around and he went on to the university to study construction management and rebuild.
Axel insists on Mia meeting with him one more time after she had told him off at his office and demanded he cancel the contract. He apologized profusely for the way he had treated her in school, and made no excuses for his behavior. She could actually see a difference in him, so she agreed that he could work for her parents – even though she still wanted nothing to do with him.
Early one morning, he woke her with a phone call that her dad had just had a stroke! Axel drove her parents to the hospital and waited there to be with Mia when she arrived. When he left, he returned to her parents’ house and continued working after his crew went home. He put in extra time to get as much done as he could before her parents came home. But when he asked her later if she would go out on a date with him, she held back. She said she needed time. And he told her he would wait for her. Could she forgive his high school behavior, especially when she could see he was nothing like that anymore? Or was the pain too deep to let go?
I am very impressed that the author fit so much story into a short book! And it was definitely a good story line with very likable characters. It was good to tackle a problem such as bullying, letting the reader see the pain on both sides. I was especially glad that Axel didn’t make excuses but took responsibility for his actions and apologized from his heart for what he had done. Grab your copy and see how all of the other issues come together. You won’t be disappointed!
3.5 Stars
The story line is okay. The character work was great. The story was well written and had a good flow to it. I can’t say that this couple will ever be a favorite of mine, but I did find this to be an entertaining read. I look forward to future work by this author.

Short and Sweet! This story is about Mia and Axel. They knew each other in high school, but he bullied her that she now hates him. Well Mia gets a surprise as her mother notifies her that Axel’s construction company is going to do the renovations to their home, and she gets furious. She unleashes herself on him at his office for all to hear and tells him to cancel that contract. He apologizes for everything and ask could he not cancel the contract. Well I won’t give you the rest of the story as it is very short but note it does have a happy ending.

this was a fast read. once bullied by him, mia finds the boy who tortured her in high school, now showing up as a man in her parents home. still burnt from her past, mia tells axel to ditch the contract, but he wont until her hears him out. a sweet tale from bully to boyfriend, highlighting the issues of why people lash out to hurt others.
This is Axel and Mia story. Axel bullied Mia when they were in high school. Years later, Mia learns that Axel is doing the renovations on her parents house. The two meet each other again. They are both confused about their feelings for the other one. This is a great short read. The characters are relatable. How Axel treated Mia doesn’t make it better when you find out why, but at least he’s remorseful.

This was a sweet enemies to lovers book. Mia and Axel had went to high school together. Axel use to bully Mia horribly. Now years later, Mia founds out that Axel is doing some construction to her parents home. She goes to confront him. That meeting after all those years was therapeutic for both. Axel is a different man than how he was back then and he wants to show Mia he’s a better person. Mia notices and let go of the grudge but still not trusting. A horrible tragedy brings them together and they begin to build something special. The epilogue was sweet. I really enjoyed this short romance.

I really liked this short but sweet story of forgiveness and love. The characters were great and grew a lot from when they knew each other in high school. Axel really amazed me with how much he changed and how he was willing to do what was needed so that Mia would be comfortable. Mia was able to see the new Axel and that opened up new options. Great story. Definitely recommend. Must read!

This was a very enjoyable quick enemies to lovers read. My only disappointment was that the characters weren’t a bit more developed and that the story wasn’t a bit longer. And even though you could see that there was something between Axel and Mia, their relationship and hook up felt a bit hollow and lacking.
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!

He can build but can she will she still hate him
I have read several books by Kate Hunt and she is a solid writer who can write fast paced short stories that are fun and interesting. That is what she has done with Built to Hate You.
I don’t normally read “bully romance” stories but I thought I would give this one a try as it is short and by an author I like. I still don’t like “bully” but this is a bit different as it is several years after high school that Axel and Mia encounter each other again. Now they are attracted to each other, which really they were back in high school but did not know how to act properly on it. The opportunity is there now to make amends and make make a future. There is not a lot of hot and steamy but instead more of the emotional side of things. It is well written and the characters are nice.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
wonderful story .. the characters have a past .. but people change … and the chemistry between each other .. I enjoyed this short story .. enough excitement and romance .. from me 4 stars
