A dying lady that can see the deceased around her chooses where she wants to dye, what she wants to do with her money and ends up falling in love with a ghost while accomplishing her dream.
Such a cute story. Well thought out storyline. Some tugging at the heartstrings but well worth it. Will read next books in series.
I absolutely loved this book. I stayed up late because I just had to know how the story would end! Then I reread the story again the next day.
I love those old Southern plantation homes and this book is filled with descriptions of the old home and how the main character restores the house. Some of the details I hadn’t heard of. I can’t wait to read the sequel and hope that the new main character lives happily ever after!
I loved this book. It was a great page turner. Wonderful characters to have for a summer beach read. Can’t wait to read the next in the series. When I read the first few pages I was not sure to continue. But read further you will be pleasantly surprised at the story line. You will be asking for more, so happy to say there is more in the series
This historical fiction is so well done and has characters that you don’t want to let go of. The writing is done so well that you can actually see and feel what is going on. I didn’t want it to end and was happy to know it continues on in the next in the series.
Enjoyed reading about ghostly presence. Nice touch showing medical personalities supporting each other. Liked how characters turned life around after unexpected events.
Great book. Love the “visitors”
Wonderful book. Intrigued to read two more, but so sorry to see that they are not available now!
I loved this gentle read and the whimsical premise. Looking forward to the remaining 2 books of this series.
This story has a small cliffhanger that requires you to read the next book. It ends one story but leaves another just beginning. I did enjoy reading the story. I was just disappointed that some things were left undone.
I loved this book!
Great series
Loved the premise and the characters and the build up of story line. More please
Thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Loved it. Will look for more from this author
After having been recently disappointed in a book about someone who was facing death, and then suddenly everything in her life become totally glorious (including complete cancer remission, and the ex-husband she’d stabbed with a fork being incredibly kind and loving), I approached this book with caution. Would an author be able to actually confront death (inevitable for us all) and create a warm, fulfilling story without darkness, and without hackneyed fairy-tale make-overs?
Ms. Drake succeeded.
I was curious how an author would explore the idea of dying, especially in conjunction with a house for celebrations: with gentle kindness, and understanding of human frailty and strength.
This book was very well done. One cared about the MC, and grieved at her death, but also rejoiced in that she was able to use her last days to create something, and to bring “life” to hose who couldn’t speak for themselves. She chose her path, defended it against those well-intentioned bullies who always insist they know what’s best for others, and brought hope and contentment to those who’d lost these gifts.
A very satisfying book.
Beautifully written, wonderfully atmospheric , original and very well edited. Will buy the series.
I really enjoyed the journey with the characters
Just a FUN READ!
Not what I expected when I started reading, but thought the book wonderful
