I love this Lia Fairchild and her books, but for some reason I couldn’t get into this book. But that is on me. It happens sometimes that you don’t like a book and then go back and read it again and fall in love with it. That is my hope for this book. Thank you for allowing me to read it and leave an honest review. I will update this when I reread the book.

This book was recommended to me and I always enjoy reading a story with kids in it. Tbh I had a bit of trouble of getting into it but it picked up after. It was my first read from this author and the story was very well written. A story about loss, grieve and finding love along the way!
After a devastating family loss, Logan finds himself responsible for the kids left behind but feels he is in way over his head as nobody seems to cope well with everything going on. After an incident, he and Mollie reconnect and slowly she gets more attached to his family. Even though they keep their relationship purely professional, it doesn’t take long before feelings between them start to develop into more. But Logan doesn’t have an easy past and hasn’t really dealt with it. Even though they get closer each day, Mollie doesn’t want to take the next step and doubt starts to creep in. Will Logan finally be able to face his scars and will he and Mollie be able to find a happy ending in the end that both are craving?…
Enjoyed this first in series, the story draws you in and the characters Mollie and Logan are sweet. Slow-burn story with a HEA.
Wonderfully written story. Has great characters and an on going story that I want to follow. You will get invested in this family.
This was my first story by Fairchild and she did not disappoint. Building Bridges is the first book in Fairchild’s newest series Bridges Brothers. It’s the perfect Contemporary Military Romance and will pull on those heartstrings as it has all the feels. At least it did for me. I love each and every character in this story and can’t wait for more!
Logan served his country and never could have imagined he would be helping raise a house full of children. He’s the second oldest of the four brothers. As Logan is thrown into this new life he has to deal with his own demons in the form of PTSD. He finds help in someone very unexpected.
Mollie and Logan have a past but watching them go through such an unimaginable loss she just couldn’t handle. She’s got a sassy independence that’s for sure. Mollie just fits so perfectly into the Bridges family. Like she should have always been there.
HEA for sure with this one even if it was a long hard road to get there.
Loved this story!! It’s emotional but definitely has moments of comic relief that come from being part of a family. It is full of love and but also heartache that life can bring. Logan is an amazing hero and Mollie is equally captivating. Great beginning to a series! Can’t wait to read Book 2!

This is the first book I’ve had the pleasure of reading by Lia Fairchild and all I can say is wow.
Logan truly is an amazingly strong person first he returns home as an amputee second the deaths of his stepmother and Aunt.
He’s the glue holding his multi generational family together.
Then there’s Molly she’s exactly what he needed in his life he just needed to figure that out for himself.
100% Absolutely fantastic and I look forward to reading many more books by Lia Fairchild.

Swoon-worthy!
Before today, Lia Fairchild had not crossed my TBR list with any of her books. After reading, Building Bridges, my thoughts are screaming, “Where have you been?” I was blown away by this book and Lia’s writing. I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.
Logan has been serving in the military for a bit but now he is back to raise a house full of kids. Logan has set aside his own grief and left his PTSD untreated to make sure his family is taken care of. What Logan did not count on was Mollie. Logan and Mollie have known each other for a long time but never crossed that line. Now that Mollie is around full time with helping him raise the kids, will they cross that line?
From the beginning, Logan and Mollie have had incredible chemistry and never acted on it. I love that their story is slow-burning and not full-on flame. They both have their own personal things to work through before they could ever be happy together. Logan is a family man and that says a lot about him. He is a bit frustrating at times to the point where I just wanted to scream but I restrained. Mollie is a lovable person as well and I loved how caring she was. These two could not be more perfect for each other.
Wow, what a great start to a series. I cried, laughed and cheered throughout this book.
Lia Fairchild did amazing job on this book. She made me fall in love with every single character.
I loved Logan and Mollie, they may have became friends through need. But you could tell they be something more and have great love.
I can’t wait for more of this series.
Once I started reading I couldn’t stop reading. I loved Mollie and Logan! Looking forward to reading more by this author. I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Wow! This story packs an emotional punch. What a touching read that has some beautiful themes intwined in it. I am actually struggling, trying to articulate what this book is about. I am really living in my heart right now not my brain. Eek.
Logan and Molly are our main characters that are full of surprises.
Our hero, Logan is that in so many ways. He has returned home from service after dealing with a severe injury. Unfortunately his family has suffered a huge loss with the death of his step mother and aunt. This has resulted in his entire family trying to find their way in their new normal and him helping in the care of the younger children.
Molly is a nurse who went to school with Logan. Her relationship with Logan’s younger siblings and cousins melt my heart. She has to call the adults on some things which is a bit unsettling for some.
This couple dances around each other for specific reasons. I can’t help but love the way they both heat up the page.
Plan for some surprises and have questions answered as you travel down this books telling. My only critique would be that when the big reveal happened it fell a little flat for me. It wasn’t as big an issue as I thought it was made into. I could be wrong, having been so in the past and I am sure I will be in future.
So overall this is an amazing 4 star book with all the pieces I love. Romance, family, kindness, and caring just to name a few. Yes you also get some heartache to keep things interesting. Happy Reading! XOXO
This is one emotional read. For the Bridge family tragedy has struck and the family is struggling. It breaks my heart, but with Mollie they get a ray of sunshine through their dark time. A lot of tension between the family as the navigate through their new normal. Little Belle stole my heart as soon as we meet her. Logan has some inner demons he’s dealing with along with his family. Can he let go of his past to gain a future? Or will he let it slip through his fingers. This book has a lot of heart and feels. The journey this family takes in this book the epilogue was so worth it!
This is the first book by this author that I have read and I absolutely loved it!!! Who would know that a tragedy that hurt two families could bring two people together and help them find love… great story!!! Bring on book 2!!!
This book was amaing I loved everything about it it was so good i cant wait for more
I really enjoyed this story. I love books with kids in it and this one had it in spades. I didn’t know what to expect with this story, I technically went in blind but it was so worth it. Everything in this story kept me hooked until the end.
Logan was suffering in his own drama, but he comes home after tragedy strucks in his family and has to help look after a house full of children. As his struggling his way through this new battle he gets help from someone from his past.
Molly is a nurse and went to school with Logan and now it seems she has come back into his life at exactly the right time.
This book will have you fall in love with Molly and Logan and definitely the kids. Some parts were a bit heart breaking especially Logan’s PTSD and other parts will have your heart melting. So glad I went in blind with this one.
I’ll admit that when I first started reading this, I felt as though the story was dragging and wanted it to speed up. But as the story progressed I could see why it felt that way. The Bridges had a lot to get through and I cried at times and felt for their loss. Mollie came in at just the right time. I couldn’t stop reading because I also needed to know the big mystery between Logan and Mollie. It will tug at your heartstrings. I was left crying and smiling at the end.

An emotional read from start to finish! I loved the build up of Logan and Molly relationship, it was slow and sweet with strong emotional that made their character come alive. I enjoyed the storyline and the secondary characters that brought more life to the story. My firs read b6 the author and it did not disappoint, I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.
This was a very emotional read but I still enjoyed it very much. My first read from this author.
Wow! Such an amazing story that really tugged at my heartstrings. The Bridges family is such a special family. After a family tragedy, Logan tries to help them pick up the pieces of their broken hearts, even as he tries to push aside his own pain from PTSD. His former friend and classmate, Mollie, tries to help and immediately gets attached to this broken family. Can just her friendship be enough to save Logan and his family, or is Logan the hero that will heal their broken hearts? I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I am also attached to this family now.
