What started as a fantasy quickly became reality… lucky few who truly loved their job. But now a powerful and vindictive ex-lover is making it impossible for her to work in her chosen profession. After being let go from her current job, she decides to head out of town and drives to her twin sister’s house.
Both her sister and her sister’s boyfriend work for Orson Kent. Kiara did as well for a few weeks during the summer. Though she wouldn’t have minded if things got a little hot between them, Orson didn’t look her way twice.
Or so she thought.
Orson has spent his adulthood trying to erase his childhood. Owning and running his ranch as a family friendly destination goes a long way in meeting that goal, as do the private kink weekends. But a freak accident has grounded him for six weeks. For a man used to doing everything, asking for help doesn’t come easy. Especially when that help is Kiara Bowman.
Orson Kent did all he could to keep the lively and vivacious Kiara at arm’s length over the summer. He’s not sure he can do it again, especially with her living under his roof.
He’s not even sure he wants to. Besides, he’s not about to turn her down, not when what he’d really like to do is turn her over his knee or his bed or the dining room table…
But just as Orson and Kiara to decide to give in to their desires, it becomes clear someone’s past isn’t content to remain in the shadows. They know it’ll be worth the temporary trouble that comes with bringing everything into the light. What they aren’t ready for is when it turns deadly.

This book about Kiara and Orson was good. I really enjoyed the story line and the characters were well written. The connection between the characters was romantic, steamy, humorous at times and heartfelt. While Kiara had bad relationships in the recent past, Orson had a bad relationship with his father and stepmother. The only real issue I had with this book were both the spelling and grammar mistakes such as using preception when the word should have been perception.
cant wait for more in this line!
Enjoyed the book – quick Read
I consider this a spin-off of The Submissive Series
This is the story of Orson & Kiara. This story takes place in Texas. Orson is a dominant. Kiara is a nurse and a submissive, and has a revengeful ex. Her ex got her fired from her job. She ends up on Orson’s ranch where her twin sister Kelly and her boyfriend Evan are working. Orson and Kiara met during the summer when she worked on his ranch as a nurse with the medical staff. They were definitely attracted to one another, but being his employee they stayed away from one another. Everything changed when she came back again. This is a great story of a dominant and submissive in the same house. There is lots of action in this story. I love Tara Sue Me’s writing on the subject of BDSM. It is true to life of the way it should be. I love her previous books, too. I can’t wait for future books to be published.
Such a great cowboy romance! Orson is a dominant man that would make any woman swoon, including Kiara. It seemed no matter how hard they tried to fight their attraction, they just couldn’t stay away from each other. Tara Sue Me was able to mix romance with suspense for an amazing story.
Oh my BUCKED was an incredibly enticing and intriguing reading experience because Olson and Kiara was so freaking sexy and engaging with a storyline that was full of heart, heat and suspense.
The author’s talent for combining blazing hot scenes with genuinely moving romance ensures that the story is as intense and sensual as it is emotional.
Tara Sue Me totally redefines smart, captivating erotic romance. She wrote an incredible story with these in-depth and complicated characters and I loved every second of it. I was immediately captivated and pulled in until the end. Just when i thought this book couldn’t get any hotter, the next page proved me wrong. This series just keeps getting better and better. Loved it!!
I have long been a Tara Sue Me fan. The level of eroticism she brings to her romances is rarely match by others and guaranteed to keep you fanning yourself as you read. Kiara and Orson light up the pages as he fulfills her fantasies. Their chemistry is off the charts but their honest communication is severely lacking. It takes a a near tragic event for them to finally express their feelings for one another. As the old saying goes…”all’s well that ends well” and these two do end happily ever after.
Steamy chemistry! With her latest release BUCKED, Tara Sue Me dips us slightly back into her Submissive series by bringing us Kelly’s twin sister Kiara and Orson’s story. We get to see Kelly and Evan a little bit, but none of the previous characters play a part in this story line.
Kelly is a likable character who is trying to pick up the pieces of the life she has left after dealing with a difficult ex. She finds herself back on Orson’s ranch before she knows it, and this time she’s not going to accept him keeping her at a distance.
Orson has been closed off about his past for years, but Kelly has a way of digging herself into his heart and soon knows exactly what it is that makes him tick.
I recommend this story to fans of the series. It’s almost like going home again to read about this family of friends, and though this book doesn’t have as much depth as earlier ones in the series, I enjoyed it.
I’ve been wanting to read Kiara story after we met her in Top Trouble. The poor girl seemed like she couldn’t catch a break. If you didn’t read Top Trouble don’t worry this book can be read as a standalone as well. In Top trouble Kiara had to leave her ex because he was abusive.
Kiara has been attracted to Orson from the day she met him. She has sent him signs and he has turned her down everytime. She volunteers to take care of him when he got hurt. Boy did he not know what he was getting into when he agreed. I’m happy she finally went after her man. Sometimes men can be so clueless and a woman has to make the first move
A tear or two was shed towards the ending. There coming together was so sweet. I was so happy for their happy beginning together. Orson has never been able to depend on anyone and now he has found his person.
I do wish we knew about what happened to Orson father. His stepmother is a horrible person so who knows if she did something to him.
Thanks to Tara Sue Me for my arc in an exchange of an honest review.
This new series is a winner! I’ll take more please! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Kiara and Orson’s story will take you down some roads you will love riding on. In true fashion with Tara Sue Me, her stories get the most intense during the intimate scenes and also with the suspenseful parts. I tore through the story of Kiara and Orson and then coming to terms with who they could be to each other.
THAT ENDING!!! Give me more Jed!!
5 Bucked Stars
What happens when two people are trying to forget their past? What they thought they knew was manipulation and lies. How do you move forward and trust again?
This book is filled with so many elements. Healing from the past, fear, acceptance, new beginnings, mystery, trust, steaminess and feeling worthy.
In true Tara Sue Me fashion the steamy scenes are off the charts. There are moments that will tug on your heart. Moments you’ll want to hunt down people from their past and make sure justice is served. Just when you think your theory is on the right track a twist in the road will take you on another journey. Looks like another mystery read may be headed our way.
