Coming Soon!
Not your typical rich boy poor girl sports romance. I love the strength and tenacity that the heroine possesses. She doesn’t just give in and let Bryce and all of his riches take care of her and pave the way.
This story is filled with love, laughter, tears, friendship and obstacles!
Bryce Coulter, had everything. Born into a prominent family, a large trust fund and a career in tennis. He lost the former when he tore his ACL.
Now on the mend, he doesn’t know if he can ever compete again, and if he does, will he be able to compete at the leavel he was at?
Tami Ivey, doesn’t have much. She has had to work for everything. When her mom got sick, she had to give up a promising tennis career. She was young and a natural and had been scouted for the Olympics. She gave it all up to spend time with her mom, before she lost her.
When Bryce, happens upon her playing tennis, he recognizes that she’s a natural.
She knows all about him and wants nothing to do with him.
He won’t give up pursuing her.
As they start to get to know each other, he convinces her to enter a doubles tournament and they help each other to reach their goals. They are not only hot on the court, but also tangled up In the sheets.
This is my first book by Nana Malone and she will now be a one click author for me.
I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
2.5 stars: I’ve been on a sports romance kick lately so picked this one up to give this first time author to me a try. The plot idea was good, the characters were likeable and the writing had no obvious grammar/spelling mistakes, but I felt the storytelling quality fell short overall as the author tended to tell rather than show us the conflicts of the main characters, which prevented me from forming a more emotional attachment to this story. For example, I didn’t truly feel the pressures that were supposedly put on Bryce by his family to return to competing in tennis after his injury. Most of the pressure seemed to only come from the grandfather and not really anyone else, yet Bryce was always telling us in his POV that his entire family was giving him so much pressure yet the storytelling didn’t reinforce that. Therefore, overall the story quality only remained on a superficial level for me where I would have liked to have felt more emotionally from it to take it to a higher level.
What I most liked about this book is Bryce’s character. From the beginning, he had unwavering faith not only in Tami’s ability, but in his feelings for her. A good read.
I was so excited to find a romance novel that involved tennis 🙂 I’ve read hockey, baseball, football and others and had yet to read one with tennis so this was a treat.
Great characters and easy to read plot. I recommend this if you enjoy sports romances and I plan to read the rest of the series soon 🙂
Just finished this book, it was pretty good. A little different twist as it was about Tennis and not the usual sport based book.
Boring. I stopped reading after the second chapter
I enjoy sports novels, and this was a good one. Enjoyed the characters and how they worked through their issues to end up together.
