He’s willing to lose his honor to claim her, but first he must save her. The Preor emperor bestowed honors on warrior Brukr sen Zak’lu centuries ago—honors he does not deserve. Since then, he has fought to prove himself worthy of the emperor’s support. He works to protect and care for the females within Preor Tower no matter how difficult they make his task. One female constantly disregards … disregards orders and makes his duty nearly impossible. Hannah—with her flowing hair, teasing smiles, and generous curves—torments him with what he cannot have. He aches for her like no other, his dragon rages when he leaves her side, but without the Knowing stretching between them he cannot claim her. Or can he?
Genetic modifications have changed Hannah’s appearance, but they can’t change her past. To atone, she steps into the spotlight as a spokesperson for Cole-Daven and moves into Preor Tower. Every day she struggles to convince other humans to accept Cole-Daven’s treatment for Pol Mutation. She also fights her attraction to one specific alien Preor. They’re not mates, but everything in her craves the large, muscular, deliciously tempting dragon shifting warrior.
With her exposure to the public, Hannah now has humans after her. Some want to possess her, others want to torture her, and many want to kill her. That is unacceptable to Brukr and he will tell them so… with his war blades.

Brukr is book eight in the Dragons of Preor series by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate.
Hannah isn’t what she seems. She’s part of the Cole-Daven project to help those with Pol Mutation, but she’s got a BIG secret. She has also been on the run for years.
Brukr is a gruff and tuff Preor male. He’s got an old scare across his throat that scares others off.
Right off the bat you can see their is an attraction; between Hannah and Brukr. You can feel their sexual tension and that desire to be together, but since their is no Knowing it feels like it’s not meant to be. I enjoyed Brukr and Hannah together. I will say I was a bit disappointed in Hannah’s lack of seeing that Eric wants her as his own. Who is Eric? He’s her handler, or so she thinks, but he’s keeping secrets too. Maybe it’s not as obvious noticing this thing, especially when you are always on the run or in-danger, but to me it was obvious that he wanted something from her.
Again the author keeps the Knowing away until the end. The couple first has to survive a plot to take Hannah away and Hannah has to accept who she is; before they can be together as mates.
It was great that the author returned to the Pol Mutation storyline; as it’s such an important part as to why the Preor and their allies, the Ujal, are now on Earth. She also tapes into the dark human psyche, showcasing those fears of the unknown and showing why so many humans still hate or mistrust the alien races.
The best part for me was at the end, after Brukr claims Hannah as his own, when Lana and her family interrupt the after glow for them. That whole scene and conversation had me laughing along with the characters.
Brukr was another fun read in the Dragons of Preor series.
Rated: 4 Stars
Perfectly mated
Wow! Brukr has survived the unthinkable, but does not see himself in a good light. Silly male, true courage means overcoming your fear not the absence of it. Just ask Hannah. That girl has her own courage in spades and still lives her life as full as she can. I love that the author created these two characters to be strong and yet unsure, they are the perfect compliment to each other, but isn’t that the truth of the knowing I’m looking forward to the next book, more babies!
This series just gets better with each new book! I could not put this one down I had to know what would happen! Brukr sen Zak’lu has fought for years to prove himself, Hannah is also trying to make up for her past. This is my favorite in this series so far. I received a copy through KU and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
So many levels of awesomeness, you are going to love this book! Hannah and Brukr are fully unrepentant damaged individuals, but you will love them anyway. They are proud, stubborn and honorable to a fault. The story is packed with action and violence and a bad guy that you don’t see coming. It is well written, very clean technically, and easy to read because the story just flows so smoothly. You are going to hate putting it down even to sleep. Don’t miss your chance to read this fantastic story that will have you stuck on it until the very last sentence!
Hannah just wants to help people get well and she’s drawn to the broody Preor warrior sent to guard her. Hannah is in hiding though and now her secret is out again, only she doesn’t want to leave this time. Brukr will stop at nothing to keep Hannah with him even declaring her his mate.
Another great addition to the Preor series. This fun enjoyable read is jam with action, humor, secret identity, and a hot alpha dragon male doing what is in his power to be worthy of his mate. Both Brukr and Hannah have a lot of emotional baggage. It was also great to see them overcome that and get the HEA they both deserve. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven’t been compensated in anyway.
I enjoyed this book. Kept my interest, though the flow was a bit off compared to some of the other books in the series, maybe from too much going on with Hannah’s part of the story. These dragon aliens from Preor are fabulous, love all of them so far. There’s a big roller coaster ride of emotions going on in this book. These dragons are so fantastic, can’t wait for the next book now! Brukr is every bit as fantastic as the rest of the dragons in this series. I like that he recognizes without the “knowing” that Hannah is the love of his life. On the other hand, Hannah is a little less likable until you get to the “explanation” for why she’s the way she is, then it seems things change & she becomes a little more likable, still not my favorite heroine in this series. I don’t like the miscommunication she has over everything going on in her life, I also would have liked more details to her background than the brief little blip that was given. Another great book from Celia Kyle!
great series
Once again another enjoyable read about these wonderful Dragon Warriors and the woman who love them.
Hannah was interesting and likeable. Her past was terrible but what a strong character she was to do what she did about her father and what a stigma to live with. Then to have Eric do what he did for 10 years. Oh boy. I hated that her father’s past kept catching up to her but I believe that Eric was manipulating it to keep her running and changing appearance to suit his purposes.
Brukr, what to say about this troubled warrior and dragon who has not liked themselves for centuries. He may believe he was dishonourable but I do not think that; by going back into the battle to save the Emperor he showed a strength of character that few possess. He was only young and one can only imagine the horrors of a REAL war, not the imaginings of a child which is basically what he was.
Once again Pol Mutation interferes in The Knowing but I love that even without it these brave strong warriors will follow their hearts first. Sigh!
Brukr and Hannah were well matched with their pasts and fantastic for each other’s heart and souls.
Had a feeling something was up with Eric from the beginning, he was too controlling. Loved what happened to him but for what he put Hannah through he got off lightly.
I loved the idea of Liquid’s to build an escape island for the Preor, they need somewhere to switch off and relax.
What is going on between Argan, Vende and Liquid?? I really hope they do not get into series trouble, you have me worried Ms Kyle. I hope this book is next.
This is my honest review of this book.
I absolutely love the overprotective Preors. What a great feeling to be held in such high regard and cherished. Of course you have to have stubborn females to make it a little challenge for the warriors. That is part of the fun.
