Holy crap!! I can’t remember when the last time I have read a book in a day! MC books are one of my favorite genres, but still, this one grabbed me from page one, I could not tear myself away from it. Penny made me feel like I was inside the story. The storyline was brilliant and this author is quickly becoming a one-click author. I love her writing style.
These characters are perfect for each other. It is amazing the connection Cade and Indy have, it’s like they are made for each other. You can really feel the love that they had for each other forever. I loved that Cade was out to do whatever he had to so he could protect his Queen. If he has to die, he would for her and for Indy..the same..she would do whatever it takes to stay in town so she could protect her King.
Brothers In Arms is the second book in the King Of Mayhem Series and you will need to read King Of Mayhem first. This is my second book/series by this author and I cannot wait for more of her work!
5 CADE AND INDY STARS!! I absolutely love Cady and Indy!! You know when to people are meant for each other and their relationship is beautiful and perfect, well these are them. Their story is beautifully written, lots of drama, suspense and sexiness. I could not put this book down, it was so good. I highly recommend this book, but you definitely need to read book 1 first.
WOW! This story was emotionally gut wrenching! From page one, I was so hooked into this book I became emotionally wrecked right along with the characters!
The story begins right where book one left off. Cade’s cousin had been murdered right in front of them and now Cade has to give his cousin’s wife the horrid news. EEK! What a grueling start!
Death takes its toll, changing the people around it.
“Cade had changed. He’d turned cold with hate. Despondent with grief. Quietly simmering with rage.”
“And somewhere in that church, during the service for my slayed cousin, my grief turned into a seething and unrelenting obsession for vengeance.”
Indy and Cade have just started over, a second chance at something beautiful. But is their relationship strong enough to handle what’s about to come? Especially with Cade’s new focus? With his brothers at his back he’s going to find out who the killer is and take them down.
But, the murder wasn’t an isolated event. Slowly others are being taken out. Some blatantly executed, others made to look like suicide, and one club member goes missing. The devastation of all of the deaths was beyond horrific. Trying desperately to figure out who is behind these events and why, is taking its toll on the club. Especially the relationship between Cade and Indy.
“But a black cloud had descended onto my soul and I found it harder and harder to block out the anger and grief to give her all of me.”
“The distance between us was widening and I was beginning to wonder if we would ever find our way back to each other.”
So overcome with grief and vengeance Cade realizes he can’t give Indy what she needs right now.
“She was the most important thing in the world to me and I was torturing her every time I walked away from her. With every missed kiss. With every missed night in our bed.”
Feeling that the only way to keep Indy safe is to send her away. His love for her is so great he would rather have her alive and out of his life than risk her life to have her in his bed. Unfortunately, she won’t leave. Cade does the only thing he knows is a surefire way to get her to leave.
Make history repeat itself.
Will strength and love carry them through? Another thoroughly enthralling story by Penny Dee. So incredibly suspenseful I had to read it straight through!
I read an ARC of this story via netgalley. My honest and fair review is voluntary.
***3.5 Stars***
I’m not all too sure how to go about this review since my mind is feeling kinda like the poor frog in Frogger, so I’m going to keep it pretty simple…I hope (toes crossed folks)
This is a continuation of Cade and Indy’s story and I have to say that I liked Indy a lot more in this one. She’s settled, determined and I loved seeing the woman she was always meant to be come out in this one. Then there is Cade. I hurt for him, I did, and I understood why he ended up in such a dark place because of what was going on with his family, but I couldn’t help but cringe at some of the things he did, or didn’t do because he was so deep into his own headtrip that it was kind of scary.
As for Cade and Indy’s relationship. I liked how Indy fought for Cade and what they were attempting to build together, she showed how well she knew Cade and how much she loved him. But I will admit that I wished there had been more of them. The chaos that was going on around them took over and they took a backseat IMHO. I got why, I did, and I liked where they were at in the end, but I feel like they got lost in the shuffle.
Based on the way Kings of Mayhem ended and the description for this, I knew that things were going to be intense and crazy, and I’m all good with both, I am, but the thing about the crazy that happens here is that only one of the instances gave me an emotional gut punch, the others were sad and intense, but they did take me to that place and it’s because I wasn’t as invested in the characters involved. I didn’t feel like I knew them, so the connection wasn’t there and I was a little underwhelmed. And when everything was exposed…It made sense in a crazy, chaotic, psychopathic sort of way that has me thinking “Okay. The reasoning is still a little bit halfassbackwards to me, but I get it in that twisty mind sort of way.”
I was going to keep this one simple, but that didn’t happen, and I’ll be honest that I’ve waffled quite a bit over the rating, do I round up or down, I chose up because I did enjoy the book as a whole and want more from this world and these characters and in the end that is all that mattered. I loved spending more time with the Kings and getting to know some of them a little more and I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on Biker Baby when it comes out!

Brothers in Arms is the second book in the Kings of Mayhem MC series by author Penny Dee. This series has a continuing storyline, so it’s best to read the books in order. So you are aware, there is a third book in the series, so expect this one to end with a cliffhanger as well.
Brothers in Arms begins where we were left off with a devastated Cade. Indy is doing her best to help her man not spiral out of control. The Kings are angry about the events that have occurred in the first book, and they want answers! A lot was going on within the story, but it was not overwhelming for the reader. The drama is fast-paced, and I was hooked from the very first page. The sex scenes were steamy, and I had a hard time putting the book down.
Loved this book, can’t wait for the next in the series!

How much heartbreak and sorrow can an MC family take? How much is so much as to break bonds that seemed unbreakable?
Brothers In Arms is the second book in the Kings of Mayhem series and it is epic in it’s heartbreak, sorrow and above all love. Love of family and love of your soulmate.
That’s what Indy and Cade are, what they always have been. With everything falling apart around them. There are bumps and distance the size of the canyons between them, but how they maneuver through the obstacles and pitfalls of the world around them makes their story seem so real. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows when you are in love. But when you know it’s real, you know that Indy and Cade are each others calm in the raging storm around them.
Sometimes I worry that the following books in a series won’t hold up as good as the first book, but Ms. Dee has proven me wrong, and being wrong has never felt so right!
Brothers in Arms is twisted, it’s dark there is mystery and violence, but through it all there is a deep and abiding love that is the light through the dark and chaos!
Get you hands on this book, get your hands on this series! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!

This book picked right up from where the first book left off… you know the cliffhanger. With it kind of wrapping up Cade and Indy’s story I liked how this book focuses more on the MC and how they affect their relationship. As the killings of the MC members continue the reader feels the impact of each killing. That’s what’s so special about this author, she makes you emotionally invested in the story. We feel the heartache of the whole MC with each murder. Will they be able to catch the murderer or will tragedy strike once again to someone who we all have come to love? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
I received an Advanced Readers Copy or ARC of Brothers in Arms by Penny Dee from Give Me Books Promotions. My review is of my own thoughts on this book.
Thank you, Penny Dee, Brother’s in Arms is a great second book in this series, Kings of Mayhem.
If you haven’t read book one in the series, Kings of Mayhem you will miss a lot and be lousy here and there in this book, so please read book 1 prior to starting Brothers in Arms.
After Isaac’s murder things are rough for Cade and Indy, Cad is trying to hunt down who killed his cousin Isaac. INDY is trying to give Cade space while he’s grieving but he keeps putting more and more space between them, he bought her a home but he’s never there.
Finding out who killed Isaac is slowly taking over Cades life, as well as the other so called accidents that continue to pop up, he just got Indy back and now he’s going to lose her again if he keeps on this path.
Amazing story, crazy twists that I love. Another great read from Penny Dee! Like the characters and feel like I know them personally, that’s a sign of a great writer in my book.
Can’t wait for Book 3 Biker Baby coming soon!
Indy and Cade are back together but for how long? Will the tragedies striking the club be too much for these two. This book has twists and turns, had my heart beating pretty hard. Who was out to take out the club one by one? Whoever it is is literally taking them out one by one. They have to get to the bottom of who is out to demolish their club before it’s too late.
The heat between Cade and Indy is hotter than ever! I love Indy and how she’s not going to take any crap from Cade. She’s going to stand her ground and be the woman she was meant to be. Love it!!!
I will definitely be following this author and this series!!
Cade was lost in grief at the murder of his cousin. He had responsibilities to his brother in arms family, to the club, but most of all to the woman he loved and finally had again. Someone was out to get the club and those close to the members. He couldn’t risk Indy. He didn’t want to lose her. Yet, if she stayed she might be the next to die.
Indy swore she’d never have anything to do with the club. Still, she had to be there for her father’s funeral. Seeing Cade again was painful. She’d never forgotten could she finally forgive? The danger attacking the club changed things. Would she stay or leave again.
The continuation of Cade and Indy’s story is filled with love and hate. The club is under attack. Who is giving them the information to hit them in vulnerable spots? Guessing who the bad guy or gal is won’t be easy. Watching the losses and pain is hard. Seeing the love and commitment helps. Expect to have your emotions stretched and enjoy Cade and Indy’s story.

In the conclusion to the epic bomb dropped on us in Kings of Mayhem, be prepared to board a fast-paced train to pain and heartbreak. Ok, yes, Cade and Indy are still together but with one heartbreaking tragedy after another, Cade is caught up in a quest for vengeance and kind of loses sight of Indy for awhile. Indy is devastated by the losses to her beloved family but she’s not prepared to lose Cade too, so like badass biker/doctor chick she is, she takes matters into her own hands to bring her man back around.
Brothers in Arms was a great, albeit heartbreaking book. I don’t want to say too much because there’s a lot of plot twists to give away but I promise, it’ll keep you guessing.

When first part Kings of Mayhem got to the very end, I thought it’s going to be Cade and Indy happy ever after, but author Penny Dee surprised me with Brothers of Arms story in every way possible and I didn’t expect that kind of twist of action. She didn’t give me a moment to easily breath because the story is fast pace and fingers just burn for quick page turn. So many things happened there and it was hard to put this book down for a moment.
Whole Kings of Mayhem world stands in real danger because someone threaten their lives. Cade feels helpless and it’s killing him from the inside and he shut down himself for Indy, lost in his anger and grief. This time she has to find her way to his damaged soul and bring him back.
This book brought on so many emotions at once. It was real MC story, full of unpredictable incidents and action, guns and gang war.
There are lots of surprising and terrifying moments in the book that you wont get bored with. It was captivating and addicting story and I hope to hear about Indy and Cade and can’t already wait for book#3 Biker Baby in Kings of Mayhem series.
This is the second book in this awesome series, and Cade and Indy’s story continues straight on from where #1 ended. This is a well written flawless story, which is emotional, heartbreaking, and filled with action, suspense, revenge, drama and love. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

I loved the first book of this series, but the second book? It blew me away! This quickly became one of my top favorite MC series and I was left wanting more, more, more. This is the continuation of Cade and Indy’s love story, but now things are getting ugly. Someone is out to get the MC and bad things are happening all around the club and Cade and Indy. They’re forced to face some insecurities in order to keep their relationship together and forced to be stronger than they’ve ever been before in order to keep their loved ones safe from harm. And the big reveal when it comes to what’s happening to the MC? Holy. Shit. Plot twist!! Never expected it! But when it does come to light, the clues dropped throughout the later chapters of the book suddenly become a-ha moments where all you want to say to the author is “Bravo for that!” The writing is absolutely superb in this book just as in the first. The characters are well-rounded and very vividly brought to life. I’d recommend this book for any lover of MC romantic suspense/drama/etc. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for Caleb’s story as soon as it drops!
This second book in the Kings of Mayhem series picks up right where the first one left off. I recommend you read these book in order to fully understand the story. In this book Cade and Indy’s story continues as their reunion is tested by what’s happening within and to the MC. There is a whole lot going on with a ton of action as things really heat up for the kings. This is an excellent read and I’m interested in seeing what comes next. I recommend this one.
Brothers in Arms by Penny Dee is book Two in the Kings of Mayhem MC Series. This continues the story of Cade and Indy, so you should read the previous book ‘Kings of Mayhem’ first to fully enjoy their story. This book picks up where we left off in the first book. Cade is still out to protect Indy and any cost even from himself. Indy isn’t letting Cade get away with his ideal of protection. Between their love story we have a action pack drama going on.
Cade felt like his life was coming together when Indy came home. Now it is being obliterated. Watching his cousin get gunned down right in front of him sets off a chain of events that quickly spirals out of control. Vengeance and terror rule his thoughts as he hunts for a killer. The MC is crumbling and nothing makes sense. Will Indy be able to hold him together while he is trying to keep her safe, no matter the cost?
When you discover a new author, you enjoy the first book and look forward to the next. Sometimes, you can’t help but be worried that it was a one shot, that it was lightning caught in a bottle. That is not the case here! Brothers in Arms picks up where Kings of Mayhem left off. Then the hits keep coming. Cade and Indy are still new, still getting comfortable with being a couple again. There are things they still need to work on. But with death stalking the members of the club, Cade starts to drift so caught up in his head. The tension and the real and present danger kept me ramped up and scared for these characters. Penny Dee is amazingly talented, straight up awesomeness! I am now a huge fan and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I will be first in line to buy a copy! 6 stars for Brothers in Arms!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series and have been eagerly waiting for this second book. I can honestly tell you the short wait was worth it, I loved every heart wrenching, suspense filled second- front the first page to the last.
The start takes readers right back to where it ended in Kings Of Mayhem and your heart breaks for Cade all over again. But it’s nothing compared to the absolutely heart shattering scene when little Braxton finds out his father is dead, oh my the emotions flow along with the tears. (This is not giving anything away as it happened in book 1) and then when Abby says goodbye to her twin brother. This author really knows how to describe a scene so vividly, you feel like you are actually there as well.
The mystery and suspense throughout the story is extremely intriguing and puzzling, making you really think about the possibilities, I love it when it’s not a predictable storyline. This author is not afraid to sacrifice characters to create such an incredible story either, very bold.
Once again the sexual chemistry between the lead characters is off the charts. Their depth of feelings so deep and intense. Both Cade and Indy are everyday, normal people you can’t help but like and enjoy.
Underlying issues like handling grief, pain and anger are dealt with in very realistic ways, showing the characters to be life like and easy to relate to in all areas. The empathy you feel for them is real too because of the way it is written.
All I can say is bring on book 3!
I enjoyed this book. It is book two in this series and it continues the story from where it left off at the end of book one. Although this book is shorter than book one it’s packed with intensity, danger, heat, drama, suspense and raw emotions. This very exciting read will keep you on edge and entertained. If I had one negative comment it would be that I honestly felt that Indy and Cade’s romance took a backseat to everything else that was going on. That didn’t make this a bad read, it just made it a bit disappointing for me personally. I really like Cade and Indy. They share a powerful attraction, a deep emotional bond, a shared history that makes their love all the more poignant and steamy chemistry. They do share some pretty scorching scenes but for me the book was just too heavily focused on the suspense and not the romance.
After where Kings of Mayhem left off, I was anxious for this book to come out. I was not disappointed by the wait!
Indy and Cade are still reeling from the events of the first book, and unfortunately, things get a whole lot worse before they get better. There’s death, and mistrust, and struggles to find their footing as a couple despite the intense love they have revived.
There’s someone doing a whole lot of killing, and solving the mystery about who and why is the meat of this book.
A fast-paced read still all about this couple’s love and a generous splash of mystery and suspense. Recommend, but definitely start with book one!
