“I love you so much, Indy. Please don’t give up on me.”
I wouldn’t blame her if she did give up on Cade cuz he’s lost his mind. He’s consumed with grief and revenge and doesn’t have time for the woman who he claims is his world. Is she implementing the three-strikes-rule with him, or is love so blind he gets an unlimited supply?
MC romance is my favorite trope and I was excited to jump into the Kings of Mayhem MC series. However, I’m not sure how far the series can go with so many club members being killed off by an enemy. After getting attached to some awesome characters I’m feeling kinda gun-shy about letting myself go there again.
Indy is still my girl crush. She’s badass as a biker chick and a doctor. She can deal with emergency situations in her personal life and on the job like a pro. She’s smart and sassy and not the young girl that allowed Cade to ruin her years ago. She won’t go down without a fight and I’ll be there with a shovel in case she needs backup. #TeamIndy.
This book picks up up where it left off previously and it’s a emotionally charged read that will have you hooked until the end. The characters are amazing and so is the storyline. I’m ready for more.
Book two picks up right where book one ended and it’s all about figuring out who has it out for the club and why. Cade is devastated by the losses affecting the club and it’s making him push Indy away. All he wants is to keep her safe but he’s going about it all wrong and he even gets it in his head to get her to leave. She’s willing to fight for him though while he and his brothers fight for the club before anyone else gets taken from them.
This was a really good, short but action packed story figuring out who the bad guy is. Death and destruction do not make for a light read but this was a nice conclusion to Cade and Indy’s story arc and the enemy they are up against. I’m looking forward to reading whoever is next and seeing where the club goes from here. I give Brothers in Arms 4 stars.
This picks up right where story finish, Theres plenty of action cant say any more with out spoiling the story.I just reviewed Kings of Mayhem by Penny Dee. #KingsOfMayhem #NetGalley
This is almost like a super extended epilogue from Book 1 so it cannot be read as a standalone, Kings of Mayhem must be read first. This one was a bit heavy as the club is under attack and there doesn’t seem to be an end is sight. And as Cade falls into a dark place, Indy is there for him. I freaking loved this one, for as hard as it was, it was sooooo good. I loved how fierce Indy was, how she wouldn’t let Cade fall or push her away. She was a queen for her king; right by his side to support him and fight with him. Freaking loved it!
Brothers In Arms
The conclusion of Cade and Indy’s love is here, with them being in danger and a serial killer on the loose, they have to hold on tighter. This book is very intense, you have a lot of stuff going around in your mind and will ask yourself who’s next? I like this book a lot, it’s very engaging
This was book 2 in “The Kings of Mayhem” Cade Calley who is V. P. of the club is on a mission someone taking out club members. As he and Indy begin to play house he knows that he has to keep her safe and hunt for the person killing his club brothers and his cousin. Cade begins to pull away and Indy knows that she needs to give him space but she is tried and lonely and she knows she has to do something about it. This was a really good read at first I didn’t see the reason why this story was continued but the story got better. I did feel bad for Jacob and Mirabella. As the club goes on lock down more people turn up dead and while helping one of the widows Indy finds a news clipping that may have something to do with it. Indy gets some news but is unable to share it with Cade. This was a really good read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I haven’t been able to read series books for awhile because the first one is really good and then the second is so bad. Well, these three are really great. Not just really great MC books, but really good books. Plus, I just love those bad boys.
3.5 Stars
The story is gripping and extremely fast-paced, but all the murder and mayhem take centre stage ahead of Cade and Indy, who seem to be left in the shadows. Based on the short length of this story, I would have been happier with less death and more people attention; namely Cade and Indy.
This is much shorter than the first one. Which kept me reading. I received an advance copy from Give Me Books PR on behalf of the author.
Gosh, I still can’t get over Cade and the way he deals with things. Even though I rooted for him and Indy, I felt bad for her most of the time. It’s an MC romance so obviously it’s not going to be all colored roses but this book features a lot more darkness so be warned. But we get Cade and Indy’s conclusion.
I found the first book a bit slow winded and was looking forward to reading the second book as I had a feeling it was going to be more about the mc than Cade and Indy. Brothers in Arms was a much better mc book as it was actually about the Kings of Mayhem club. Including angst between other clubs we expect when reading an mc book, heartbreak and lots of anger. There was something missing in it for me though that doesn’t make it stand out amongst other books. If I’m picky it included a very obvious plot hole, which I can’t believe wasn’t picked up by beta readers or the editor. Attention to detail and the little things are the difference that can make a good book great.
Grief is something endured in a multitude of ways and the range of emotions are vast. Cade is broken after losing his cousin and he forgets to communicate with the person who means the most to him. He holds Indy at arms length, but thankfully she is his Queen who stands by his side and brings him home to her. It becomes obvious that someone wants revenge on the Kings of Mayhem as the body count climbs. They are ruthless and relentless in their attack. Onto Biker Baby the third book in the series for me.
This is the second book in this addictive series and if you haven’t read the first one then step away and do not pick this one up until you have. You do no want your enjoyment to be spoiled a this one picks up from where the first one left off. Personally I am super glad I didn’t have to wait to read the next one in the series as the wait would have driven me insane.
This one drew me in even more then the first. The twists and turns are simply brilliant and seriously gripping and will rip your heart out. Penny did an amazing job with this book.
Someone is gunning for the club and they have no clue which direction the danger is coming from. I was seriously on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell was going to happen next but I loved watching Indy and Cade’s relationship grow from strength to strength once he stopped trying to shut her out in a bid to protect her.
Can’t wait to dive in to the next book in the series
Hello to book two of the Kings of Mayhem MC series! The last book finished off with a cliffhanger, creating the opening for book two.
Murder and revenge. As the club experiences more and more losses of their own, Cade is fighting an internal battle of revenge that has him pulling away from Indigo. But Indigo isn’t like your normal heroin, nothing is going to keep her from being beside her man.
These two make me swoon. Cade finds his peace in Indigo and she provides her strength to him in an attempt to help him find his way through his grief.
As more and more losses pile up, Cade does his best to send Indigo away. But again, she isn’t one to just run from a fight. She fights him on it and even his plan to try and force her out fails. Together, they are unstoppable.
When an insider is the reason behind all of the losses and Indigo finds herself in the hands of someone she thought she could trust, she knows she has to do what it takes to fight back and get back to Cade safely.
Cade, oh sweet Cade. He pisses me off. I understand his need to keep Indigo safe, but damn if his idea hadn’t backfired, I am pretty sure I’d beat the ever-loving shit out of him. I love his love for Indigo and even though he wants to keep her safe, he also knows he is stronger with her by his side. When he finds her missing, he knows he must do what it takes to get his queen back by his side.
Here’s to book two and I am so excited to get to book 3…
Continuation of Cade and Indy’s love story with an explosive mystery! This story picks up immediately after the last book finishes. After the unexpected and abrupt death of Cade’s cousin, he starts a manhunt to find out who is behind his killing. But as they dive deeper into finding answers to who killed his cousin, more MC members end up dead under mysterious circumstances where they can’t tell if it’s accidental or murder. But everything comes to a head when it’s Indy who gets kidnapped by the killer, right after she gets some big and important news and she realizes he’s someone she knows. It was crazy the number of murders that happened right under the MC’s noses and even more surprising as to who it was that was behind it. This book definitely focused more on the suspense of the murders rather than the continuation of the rebuilding of the relationship between Cade and Indy, but in the end they get their HEA and the murderer is caught. I’m definitely interested to see who’s next in the MC after all the murders!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was literally one tragedy right after another. My heart was pounding, my brain was racing, from one cover to the other, wondering what was coming next. This is the second book in the Kings of Mayhem MC series, the second book about Cade and Indy. An After the HEA story, if you will. In book 1, Indy and Cade reunited. In Brothers In Arms, someone is attacking the Kings of Mayhem, and it almost tears them apart again.
Indy thought her life was set. She had her guy, and her life back. She thought she was ready to live her best life. But things start going wrong, blood is shed, and the burn for revenge is hot. Indy isn’t sure that her HEA is going to survive the changes in Cade. She isn’t sure any of them will survive the tragedy that is stalking the Kings.
I love MC romance. I love a book that has a mystery to be solved. I love a book that keeps my heart pounding though out the book. This book had all of that and more. But be prepared. This isn’t a book that is all rainbows and sunshine. The dark side of the MC comes out to play, and tragedy follows them. This is an emotional book, one that makes you think, what comes next? What comes after the HEA? This book is one that has my mind racing. It is one that I couldn’t put down, and even now, after I’ve finished it, I want to go back to the beginning and start all over! An amazing story, one that I would not hesitate to recommend to any lover of MC romance!
Indy and Cade really went through hell to get back to each other. There was so much death in their story but I didn’t want to stop reading. I needed to know how it all ended. Those two were perfect for each other. Great read!
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
Book two in the Kings of Mayhem MC series, Brothers in Arms is fast paced and full of chaos and mayhem. I liked this story but did feel the story over powered the couple in parts but as the story was shorter than the first story, I can understand the reasoning. I am enjoying this series and characters and look forward to reading more
Brothers in Arms by Penny Dee is the second book in her Kings of Mayhem MC series. This is the conclusion to the dramatic story of Cade Calley and Indy Parrish and the violence that has descended on the Kings of Mayhem motorcycle club’s members. Deep and twisted, sexy and hot, Angst-ridden and unpredictable. I loved every second of this book! You must read book one, Kings of Mayhem, before reading this book. Enjoy!
This is the second book in the Kings of Mayhem MC Series. The story continues where the last ended. The storyline is suspenseful, and steamy, filled with twists and turns, deaths, and danger. I love the ending. Now, I can’t wait for the next book in the Series, Biker Baby, Honey and Caleb’s story. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
This is my first book by this author and I’m presently surprised of her impeccable writing style. The second book in the Mayhem MC series and continuation relationship between Indy and Gabe with disaster brewing on the horizon.
Cade is frustrated and overwhelmed with an enemy attacking the members of the club. The announcement of the lockdown for family members added distrust and confusion among the members. I felt Cade was becoming paranoid at one point due to one of the fallen member was his relative which distorted his thought process.
This book was highly entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The plot was well developed, with a gripping storyline. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
