WOW, Book 2 in the series takes up right where book 1 left us; Someone is out to destroy the Kings of Mayhem. But Who and Why?
The author has given us an excellent storyline that simply put flows off the page. The suspense, the intrigue, the action will keep you glued to the pages and your mind sharp. The MC has just buried one of their own and a blood member of Cade’s family. He is determined to catch the person responsible. But his revenge puts Cade in a very dark place. Especially when things go from bad to worse and his MC brothers and their family become targets for danger. Cade starts to spiral. He needs to protect what’s his even if it means hurting the love of his life, Indy.
Indy, see Cade spiralling but he won’t let her in. When danger is all around them, can she convince Cade they are in this together and he doesn’t have to fight this alone? Or will his actions once again drive Indy away from him.
The book is very emotional, action pack and romantic. Both Books 1 and 2 will leave you saying, Just WOW WOW WOW. I offer Brother in Arms and Book 1, Kings of Mayhem 5 phenomenal stars and I Highly Recommend reading them (they definitely should be read in order). Kudos to the author for a job well done and this reader is looking forward to Ms. Dee’s next book.
Intense
The second book in this series kept right up to its predecessor giving me what I want in MC reads. Gladly to say it had the steam from Cade and Indy all over again. There are twists and turns in this book that had me guessing until the very end as to who was picking off the Kings of Mayhem and their women along with the reasoning for it.
This was a great page turner and now has me counting down until the next book in the series comes out.
You know that old saying keep your friends close and your enemy’s closer? Well that’s not always the case when you’re not 100 percent sure who your enemy is when you have brothers dropping like flies. Everyone is a suspect and you’re not sure if you or your Ol’ Lady is next.
Cade and Indy are in for the fight of not only their lives but that of the club of brothers, of family. Someone is out to take down the Kings and yes some of the Queens. Not sure where this attack is coming from someone is going to pay for the pain and loss of those they love. You don’t mess with the kings and think you can get away with it.
Penny Dee has done it again with the sequel to Kings of Mayhem in Brothers in Arms, picking up with Cade & Indy’s story and adding a few more twists and turns to an already incredible story that begs for more of these wonderful characters and the brotherhood of the MC work she has written.
This is the second book in the series and while the first book was more angsty, book 2 carries much more sadness as it continues after the shocking end of book 1. This was non-stop action from beginning to end with several tears dispersed throughout and startling moments. This is a series that I will be recommending to my friends.
As one loss after another attacks the Kings, the chasm between Cade and Indy grows and we see more “grit” from Indy. Indy decided the MC was home and family and she is going to fight tooth and nail to get Cade to see that they are a team in good and bad times. All Cade wants to do is protect his queen by any possible means.
“If you don’t want me-” “Not want you?” He stalked back to me and grabbed hold of my arms. “You’re the reason I flipping breathe!”~ Cade
The second book in this series is full of love and action so it was a fast read only because you wanted to get to the next part. Cade and Indy are back in this series along with the rest of the MC but someone is trying to make them a much smaller group. Cade is beside himself and Indy doesn’t know how to help him but try and be supportive but Cade is on a rampage until someone takes what’s his. This can be read as a stand-alone but it’s so good that the prior story just adds depth.

Book 2 in Penny Dee’s King of Mayhem series continues with more Cade and Indy (yay – I love these two). The story follows on directly from book 1 as we see Cade and the Club deal with the murder of one of their own. It soon starts to become obvious that there is someone directly targeting the club and its members, as more bodies start to pile up. The Club goes into lockdown, and Cade starts fearing the worse. It becomes blatantly clear that no-one is safe. Even throughout all the suspense of this whodunnit we still get super cute, super sexy time between Cade and Indy, I swear this couple are adorabubble, I love them. Sad times, sexy times and a few shocks and surprises. I was hooked from the very first page. I am so looking forward to book 3 with Cade’s brother. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Brothers in Arms by Penny Dee is the second book of her Kings of Mayhem MC series. This book begins right directly after Kings of Mayhem ended. But this time it’s more somber as the members of the MC are suddenly dropping like flies. Of course there’s a reason that’s revealed at the end plus a snippet of the third book which will be Honey Scott and Caleb Calley’s story.
Indy feels like she’s loosing Cade who is blaming himself for Issac’s death and she doesn’t know how to fix the darkness that is consuming him. But when one becomes several suspicious deaths strike the MC little does she know that the killer could come after her. Can Cade rescue her in time? Will a possible betrayal tear the Kings of Mayhem MC apart?
Cade Calley feels the darkness consuming him and blames himself for Issac’s death. But when their are several deaths of members he knows that Indy could be in the cross hairs of the killer and he’ll do anything to keep her safe. When Bull and the club vote him in as VP they sudden realize that the killer might be closer to the MC than once thought.
Brothers in Arms is book 2 in the Kings of Mayhem MC series by the talented Penny Dee. This story line begins exactly when Kings of Mayhem left off with lots of drama, action, danger, threats and many emotions. Cade need to decide between protecting Indy or hunting down the bad guy. What will happen? You need to wait and read this amazing story to know how it ends!!!!!!! But I tell you it’s worth it! Can’t wait for book 3. Thanks Penny for the Advanced Reader Copy.
