I’ve read a lot of books written by Flora Ferrari; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between Devon & Tom.

What we have here is a cluster of unexpected events.
Romance between Tom the forever bachelor local cop and his bestfriends little sister Devon.
Devon came back to the small town she grew up in and left in her teenage dust to find her father, while seeking out her older brother Adam in the local bar she finds her old crush Tom. Well it has been five years since they’ve seen each other and lets say the gab only helped their appeal. Tom is stunned to find Devon looking all grown up. Even more stunned to find how much he wants her. Helping her find her father only fueled that. But see Devon doesn’t tell Tom about her virginity, she’s kinda evasive about that little tidbit. Before she does tell him all hell breaks loose when her brother and father catch them kissing the morning after. But that unexpected event takes on a whole new meaning. Tom finds himself in new territory caring about a woman the morning after. Which leads him to making quick decisions. Her father is in over his head big time, we still don’t know the monetary value of his debts. Unexpected events catapulte, her relationship with Tom, Toms relationship with Adam , her father needing witness protection, her father being kidnapped from witness protection, an unplanned pregnancy, a mole in the police department, so much in this books but in the ends dreams are fulfilled families are formed and friendship are mended.

Devon goes back to her small hometown looking for her brother so she can find her father who owes lots of gambling money to some very bad men. She finds Tom, her brothers best friend, who is now a cop in their small town. She has always had feeling for Tom but had to get out of that town. Tom couldn’t believe that the green eyes beauty that blew into town is little Devon. I love Flora Ferrari’s books. They are just the right length for a quick read. Each story is as different and interesting as the last story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another well written brother’s best friend/older man/younger woman romance by Flora Ferrari. She once again brings an interesting story with strong characters and pulls you in with all the drama, action and suspense as well as the instant attraction and hot chemistry between Devon and Tom. Her supporting characters are strong and help to bring the story around. It moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.

It has been a while since I’ve read a Ferrari novella, so I was glad to read this one. I love older guy, younger girl. Crushed on him, but didn’t do anything about it. Police officer. Wrap that up with Ms. Ferrari’s wonderful writing skills, a reasonably realistic plot, and steaminess….. you have a guilty pleasure (well, for me, a guilty pleasure.) I’m back Ms. Ferrari!
nice story, easy to read, good chemistry between the main characters and enough tension to hold you to the end. from me 4 stars.
