Zoe is out of a job and at a dead end in her young life. When she gets a call with an offer of a job she just can’t refuse, so off she goes to Moon Grove and her life changes forever. This is written as a coming of age cozy mystery and I just love the character, and how magic is written into the story. The plot flows and keeps you wanting more.
Broomsticks and Burials is the first book in the Magic and mystery series. I thought this book was enjoyable to read. It had lots of twists, turns, drama, mystery. This story was well written a storyline. I enjoyed the characters and it was enjoyable to read.
I found this book to be entertaining from the first page to the last. I’m hooked for sure Characters were real and jumped off the page.
At least for me. Thanks so much for the story.
I enjoyed every moment of my time in Moon Grove on the hunt for the murderer of a journalist. The characters came alive in this off the map little town.
Zoey is an unemployed journalist who gets a job offer in Moon Grove, but she has to leave immediately. She along with her familiar, Luna arrive to this mystical magical place full of amazing characters. I loved this book, it was filled with humour, mystery, magic and an abundance of clues. I can hardly wait to read the next one.
This is the first book in this paranormal cozy mystery series set in North Carolina. It is lighthearted, but deals with serious issues. The main character is witty, intelligent, likeable and shows growth during the course of the novel. This book combines mystery, crime, journalism, magic, romance, politics and paranormal beings. It is a quick and entertaining read with some plot twists and I look forward to reading additional books in the series.
This was a very easy to read book, and I enjoyed the characters.
Enjoyable read. Fun, paranormal series with quirky characters in a completely paranormal town. Can’t wait to read more by this author

As the first book in a series, Broomsticks and Burials: Magic & Mystery lays a good foundation. I found the characters unique and intriguing, and the plot gets more complicated as you go along. A fun read.
A good read.
Enjoyed the protagonist coping with the change from being a down to earth journalist (but felt she had to have had a college journalism education to be employable in that field and one of the few flaws was glossing over that background) who is thrown into a strange world but her strong will to succeed and moral determination to see wrong exposed + some inate supernatural abilities enable her to expose the evil in her new town and win both the battle and a new love interest.
I will be following the story and the author.
I just read the preview sample, so far I like it, it’s the first in the series. I can’t wait to find out what happens with Luna, Zoe and Beau.
One call changes it all for Zoe, she goes from sitting at her grandma’s farm worried as she doesn’t have a job to having a job in a town that is anything but normal, learning her family history is more than mundane and she has a murder to solve even if no one wants her to look into it. There is plenty of mystery, laughs, doubt on who to trust, wanting Zoe it succeed as well as wanting to go visit this wonderfully weird town. Will Zoe find the killer before he finds her and what can her magic really do!! This was a great read and I can’t wait to read more.
