A sexy new standalone from USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen. You’d think a billion dollars, a professional hockey team and a six-bedroom mansion on the Promenade would satisfy a guy. You’d be wrong. For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don’t know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is … night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.
When Rebecca gets hurt, I step in to help. It’s what friends do. But what friends don’t do is rip off each others’ clothes for a single, wild night together.
Now she’s avoiding me. She says we’re too different, and it can never happen again. So why can’t we keep our hands off each other?
I loved this fresh new twist on the billionaire storyline and the absolutely dreamy hero. Nate is everything I could ever want in a book boyfriend – he’s smart, confident, and completely smitten! Brooklynaire is sexy and addictive! #1 NYT Bestseller Lauren Blakely

This book was a fun romance. the hero and heroine are likable, and each are carrying a secret crush on the other. It’s steamy in spots, but caring and the characters and dialogue are positive. I liked it.
I just loved this book! The writing was great especially enjoying the writing in the chapters taking place in the past!! Nate is an awesome hero (love a hot nerd!!!).
Enjoyed it. Nate is the techy guy most women would like to meet.
I really liked Nate and Becca. It was a cute story and I really enjoyed it. I liked Nate’s side throughout the book. Becca side got a little repetitive for me at times, but otherwise it was a good book.
This started out with so much promise! The hero was a nerdy tech guy who could go off into a daze while in the middle of a conversation while he ran lines of code through his mind. But now he’s getting distracted by thoughts of his employee and her current ill health. The heroine was smart and snarky and totally understood him and what was necessary to keep him organized. Everything was going so well…and then they had sex.
Once their relationship become intimate, it’s like they were no longer the same characters. The heroine was insecure and questioned everything between them. The hero, despite the heroine telling him she didn’t want to talk about it, just let it go and went with the status quo. I needed to see him make an effort to win her over. They finally do get through the communication breakdown, but then the heroine was worried about their boss/employee rolls. Add in a scene that was totally random and completely unnecessary and I was pulling my hair out in frustration.
While I loved the way this author wrote the flashbacks, as well as pretty much all of the first half of this story, it all fell apart for me afterwards. I really wanted to love this one but I guess I’m falling into the few that it didn’t work for.
Dual POV
Unusual story, lots of fun to read, very entertaining
Rebecca is a very successful employee, she is a great asset for Nate’s company, she is beautiful, strong but at the same time insecure when it comes to Nate.. she is intelligent and charming someone who will definitely catch Nate’s eyes and heart ..
Nate is not your typical millionaire, he is quiet and likes to keep his private life out of the loop, but life and circumstances are about to change his life forever pushing him to finally lower his walls and recognize his feelings towards the woman he has loved for such a long time..
Nate and Rebecca have been friends for a very long time, they practically built Nate’s business together, bringing them even closer and becoming great friends, making even harder for both of them to finally come clean about their feelings..
fear and doubt kept lurking around them. they didn’t want to ruin their friendship and their great business relationship but after so much fight, walls and secrets will start to fall making them aware of their feelings and love..
I started this book without knowing much about the story and the characters, I’m pretty new to Sarina’s work, and I have to say I’m glad I picked this book.. its a light read but with a lot to deliver.
I really like how strong both Characters are.. we can really feel and see the evolution of both characters as the story keeps going.. Love how Nate and Rebecca’s feelings were always very palpable even if they didn’t say any word.. but the chemistry, the need it was always present.
It was a good book, great characters, with the right amount of angst to keep you hooked until the end,, very enjoyable..
Nate and Becca are my favorite in this series! I loved them.
He was the nerdy guy turned billionaire. She was his office manager before he made his first big deal. Their attraction was mutual and their love story was a slow fall.
Matthew was a hot, sexy and successful nerd. He also hapoened to be a billionaire. He had an unstoppable attraction to his office manager for years. When an opportunity arises to take care of her, he’s all in.
Rebecca had a crush on Matthew when she first started working for him. However, after years of working side-by-side, she put that attraction on the back burner. The timing and conflict of interest never seemed right.
When Matthew can no longer resist and Rebecca realizes her feelings, sparks fly!
This story is about colleagues who became friends and friends who became lovers. It’s sweet, sexy, romantic and hot!!! Loved it!
I really liked this book. There was a quality of the rich nerdy guy, who figures out that he loves the girl who has been there all along. She just needs to figure out the same too.
I LOVED IT!
What’s not to love about a hot billionaire nerd boy who buys a hockey team?
Nate and Rebecca are soo adorable!
Bingsley stole the show though! I want one of my own please. Bingsley is so much better than Alexa, Siri or the Ok Google guy!
Great romance with lots of funny and cute moments and some hockey moments. I really enjoyed reading it – even without having read any of the other books in the series. But I’m reading Overnight Sensation next! Might go back and read all the others too one day…
Oh my – where to start? I absolutely LOVED this story … even when you just wanted to knock their heads together, it wasn’t a hardship to watch this relationship evolve. Believable and fun and funny and sweet and so very, very romantic … my first from this author and I’m already on to another one. A new favorite 🙂
I was super excited to receive and early copy of Brooklynaire, i have loved Sarina Books for a long time and this is the first book i have got early. I was also excited as this was one of the books out of the Brusier Series that i had been hanging out for. If anything this one one of my most anticipated reads for 2018 and it is already one of my favourites I’ve read this year.
We had read about Bec and Nate through the other books and for me there was just something about these two and i couldn’t wait to get there story and i was not disappointed this would have to be one of my favourites from this series but i knew it would be. I love Sarina Bowen’s writing it just flows and so easy i love it.
Nate was such an enigma being the teams owner but we didn’t know too much about him and he was more than i ever expected i absolutely loved him, he was so clueless but so sweet and one of my favourite book boyfriends of Sarina Bowen. He was such a determined successful guy and just had a big heart.
I felt sorry for Bec it seemed like she took care of everyone else and no one was looking out for her, but when an injury comes into play she has to learn to be looked after and for her to find out she is not alone. It takes her a lot to accept help and that someone could actually love her. It was such a good story for Bec.
I absolutely loved this book, if your looking for something sweet, sexy and a fantastic read then this is what you need to be reading, this whole series is fantastic and this book just blew me away i read it in one sitting and wish it never ended.
Massive 5+++++++ Stars from me loved loved loved it.
Becca and Nate have known each other for years, but both have seen each other differently. When an accident happens their true feelings show. It’s a wonderful romantic story.
He tastes like chocolate and confidence.
First things, first! THAT COVER, #cougaralert *fans self* Holy Abs! Second, the name, ‘Brooklynaire’, I love it. It is so creative and perfectly describes this book.
I am going to be honest here, and say that in the first book of the Brooklyn Bruisers series, Nate Kattenberger was not a character I liked. I had zero interest in getting to know him. His standoffish demeanor did nothing for me and I honestly wanted Castro for Rebecca Rowley. I even told Sarina Bowen that in my review of ‘Hard Hitter’.
“Call me crazy, but I would love for Castro and Becca to get together.” I loved Castro and thought he was the perfect choice! She didn’t listen to me. Instead, she gave us ‘Pipe Dreams’, the third book in the Brooklyn Bruiser series. But with that book, I got to know Nate and Rebecca better and by the end of it, I was begging for these characters to be together. “NOW … I am impatiently waiting for Becca and Nate’s story … *taps microphone* Hello, I need NATE AND BECCA! Who do I need to bribe?”
See, to me, that is the mark of an excellent writer, when a reader falls in love with secondary characters before they ever truly get to know them. And let me just say, if I were younger and single, I would be looking for MY Nate Kattenberger!
On the surface, one would think Nate had it all, he’s wildly successful, humble, smart, and sexy. But he didn’t have the one thing he wanted most, Rebecca Rowley. Besides thinking she wasn’t interested, he also had the fact that he was her employer standing between them. So, for 7 years, he kept up with the boss-employee dynamic. Until Rebecca falls and is seriously injured. His position is tested as his feelings for her over-ride his sense of right and wrong. All he can think about is taking care of her. When she’s not around he wonders how she is, is she hurting, is she recovering, is she getting the best medical care?
It only takes one night alone with her to throw caution to the wind.
Rebecca worked for Nate before he became the multi-millionaire he is today. She knows him better than anyone, yet she doesn’t know his thoughts or feelings for her. And while she has been suppressing hers for him the last few years, she needs her job worse than she needs a relationship. The impropriety of it all that would cause the gossip mongers to froth at the mouth was more than she could handle. Not to mention she knows she’s not good enough for the successful, Nate Kattenberger. So, after their one night together, she runs scared.
Sarina Bowen is funny, smart, and knows how to mix just enough angst to her stories the level out the sweetness. If you want a book that will make you laugh while tugging at your heart, ‘Brooklynaire’ is the perfect choice!
The narration on this one was so good and spot on for the characters. I have been waiting for this book since we first met Nate and Becca in Rookie Move and it was totally worth the wait! I just adore them!!!! Nate, is a sexy, smart, nerdy billionaire who is a just a bit socially awkward. Yum! He also owns the Bruisers. And Becca, I love her. She is smart and sassy, has her own very cool style and has had a crush on Nate for many years now since she worked as the office manager of his tech company in the early days. However, he is basically her boss now as the owner of the Bruisers since she works for the team and that’s a bit of a problem. This is such a long time coming romance that has everything a good a romance book should have. It is sexy, sweet, funny, flirty, complicated and best of all has an amazing HEA. And even better, it has hockey.
I loved their story so much and I totally loved the epilogue!
This is a book that leaves you wanting more. I laughed, cried, and cheered. This was the first book by this author and since I have binge read all of her other books.
4.5 Stars
I have been on a Sarina Bowen kick lately, and she does such a great job of writing hockey romance, so I was anxious to read Brooklynaire from her. I haven’t read much in the Brooklyn Bruisers series (only book 1), but that didn’t make it difficult to follow along.
This followed Nate, the owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers and a tech business owner, and Becca, who had started out as Nate’s assistant, but he moved her over to the office manager of the Brooklyn Bruisers after he bought the team. This was a bone of contention for Becca, as she really didn’t understand Nate’s reasons behind this move.
Nate and Becca had an abundance of chemistry! Sarina Bowen did a wonderful job of developing them as characters, and the plot was thought out and planned well. I also have to say that Sarina Bowen did a wonderful job of portraying a vestibular disorder. My nephew suffered from one after a concussion (since then he had 3 more concussions; no more contact sports for him), and ended up missing six months of school because the symptoms were so difficult to handle. He also went through intensive therapy for it. Luckily, he is relatively symptom free these days.
I will definitely reread this, and will more than likely go back and read the rest of the Brooklyn Bruisers series!
I really enjoyed finally getting to her the story that has been hinted at throughout the series so far. I also loved getting insight to before the owner was a billionaire and was just a regular guy.
You know that one couple that you know belongs together but just seems to take forever to get there? Well that’s Nate and Becca. They’ve been background characters, and boss and assistant, for the first three books of the Brooklyn Bruisers series. But their chemistry together just dominated every scene they’re in. And now they finally get their own story, which I devoured in one sitting! To be honest, in this day and age, especially with the #MeToo movement and everything going on in Hollywood, workplace romances are a bit problematic for me. There is a clear imbalance of power when the hero is the heroine’s boss and holds her livelihood in his hands. However, Sarina Bowen does an excellent job addresses that and having Nate be extremely respectful of the position Becca is in. Nate and Becca’s relationship progresses organically from coworkers to friends to lovers and the authenticity of that is truly what makes this book. Well that, and their off-the-charts chemistry! While this book can be read as a standalone easily, reading the previous books gives you a feel for how much everyone is rooting for Becca and Nate to get together! I loved this book and I can’t wait to reread it!
