A sexy new standalone from USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen. You’d think a billion dollars, a professional hockey team and a six-bedroom mansion on the Promenade would satisfy a guy. You’d be wrong. For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don’t know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is … night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.
When Rebecca gets hurt, I step in to help. It’s what friends do. But what friends don’t do is rip off each others’ clothes for a single, wild night together.
Now she’s avoiding me. She says we’re too different, and it can never happen again. So why can’t we keep our hands off each other?
I loved this fresh new twist on the billionaire storyline and the absolutely dreamy hero. Nate is everything I could ever want in a book boyfriend – he’s smart, confident, and completely smitten! Brooklynaire is sexy and addictive! #1 NYT Bestseller Lauren Blakely

Not a huge hockey fan, but I did enjoy Nate and Becca’s story. This was a quick read, with dashes of humor and a few steamy sex scenes. Wished I would’ve met a Nate when I was living in NYC/Brooklyn, just saying!
NO SPOILERS!
I loved Brooklynaire from Sarina Bowen! The storyline, characters, and author’s writing style were amazing. Nate and Rebecca’s story was sweet, sexy, funny, charming, swoon-worthy, and entertaining. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end, and was especially happy with the conclusion. I’m a huge fan of sports romance, especially football and hockey, and I thought Sarina did a fantastic job balancing every aspect of Nate and Rebecca’s friends-to-lovers story in Brooklynaire. She definitely made me a happy reader, and I can’t wait to devour more from her!
A great friends to lovers storyline in the hockey world. I loved the banter and chemistry between Nate and Rebecca. You will definitely laugh out loud and swoon throughout this story. Can’t wait to read/listen to the rest of this series. Zachary Webber and Virginia Rose nailed the narration.
*4 Stars*
Finally getting around to read some of Sarina’s backlog, and I definitely enjoyed this one. I love hockey books, and even though this one is about the teams owner Nate, it was still just as good as the others and has plenty of hockey in it.
I really liked both Nate and Becca in this. Even though Nate has tonnes of money (understatement of the year haha), he doesn’t act like a douche or an entitled rich guy. Becca is a hard worker and treats him the same as she does with everyone else which is really nice as well.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters in this, including the secondary ones. I really liked all the hockey bits too, it was fun to get invested in the team and their performance. I’ve read some of the following books, so am familiar with some of the players. I definitely want to go back and read the 3 prior Brooklyn Bruisers books though.
Also, can I please have a Bingley of my own? He was so cool haha. Way to go Nate.
Really enjoyed this, and can’t wait to read more of this series.
After reading Moonlighter, I knew that I had to read more of Sarina Bowen’s work. I started with Brooklynaire because it was literally the first book that popped up when I searched for Sarina Bowen. I ended up alternating between the audio and the e-book version and I have to say that I LOVED this book! Everything about this book was so great.
The way that the past and present are divided in this book made is such a great read. The friendship between Nate and Rebecca was so fun to witness. I loved the ease they had around each other, until they both realized their true feelings for one another.
Nate was such a cute nerd. I loved the fact that although he was a Billionaire – you saw his humble roots but also his desire to succeed. Rebecca was awesome in her own right. She was always so independent and hated relying on anyone for support, even if it meant leaning on Nate so he could take care of her while she recovered from an injury.
This book had everything in the perfect combination. It was funny, yet sweet and sexy and had the perfect amount of angst thrown in. I was rooting for Rebecca and Nate the whole time. I love this universe where the Brooklyn Bruisers exist and can’t wait to read more!
Audiobook:
Story: 5
Narration: 5
Overall: 5
I actually started with the book in auidobook format and immediately fell in love with the voices of Nate and Rebecca. I also really appreciated that the past scenes were narrated by Joe Hempel. It made the transition between past and present seamless. I am a huge fan of Zachary Webber and as always he does a wonderful job bringing Nate to life. But I also really loved Virginia Rose as Rebecca! I could immediately tell when Rebecca was excited or doubtful (one of my favorite scenes was when she had a bit too much alcohol to drink!). This was definitely a wonderful audiobook to listen to and I look forward to more of Zachary Webber and Virginia Rose together!
Wow! Nate and Rebecca
I can’t say enough about this book. It’s on my re-read shelf. Thank goodness I have an ebook because I would have worn the words of the pages of the paperback.
I loved this book. Loved the steam, the slow burn of both Nate and Rebecca, Loved the crush that both had on each other, the hockey, and the witty writing.
If you haven’t read a Sarina Bowen book, start here! This one is absolutely fabulous! It turned me on to this author and I haven’t looked back.
This is the fourth book in the Brooklyn Bruisers series, but my first and I listened to the audio! I love these narrators and I just sat back and let Zachary and Virginia tell me a story. I fell hard and fast for Nate and Rebecca! I loved his brain as much as his sexiness. He’s always had a thing for Rebecca and now that she’s hurt and he wants to take care of her, he’s going to take his chance. He might crash and burn, but he doesn’t care. He has to have her. Rebecca always liked Nate. They are just friends now and what if they get involved and aren’t friends anymore? Will it be worth it? I loved this story! I can’t wait to get my hands on more of these sexy, fun hockey players!
I love Sarina Bowen’s hockey stories! “Brooklynaire” was terrific. I read the series out of order for some reason, but that didn’t detract. These characters were so lovable and quirky. Very enjoyable read.
This was a very good read with a flowing narration that let me forget real life for a bit.
Becca and Nate are two amazing characters, their transition from a work relationship to a romantic one is not easy but the journey is really enjoyable and intriguing.
I understand Becca’s hesitancy to start a relationship with her boss, fearing to ruin their friendship and to lose her working credibility but Nate is too adorkable and charming to resist him.
I hope to read another good sports novel written by Mrs. Bowen soon.
Nate and Rebecca worked together and had a constant friendship. She thought her job was in trouble after a job transfer but there were other reasons that become obvious later in the story. The Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team is their connection. After Becca gets a head injury and has to miss work the story escalates and feelings come to the forefront. Sweet romance and a bit of drama. Love Sarina Bowen
I have to say since starting the Brooklyn Bruisers series, I have been dying for Becca and Nate’s story! I loved it! Nate with his forever crush and Becca with her tamped down crush were so cute. It was such a good storyline and I loved the characters.
Love the whole series!!!!! I have always attempted to give ‘star’ ratings on my completed reads, just as a tracking method for my titles that I have completed. I have unlimited packages for audio, kindle, and utilize the local/state library.
However, I do not check the ‘I recommend this book’ unless I am willing to reread a book and or a series.
[I read about 5-15 books a month through kindle, and I listen to about 15-30 books monthly]
I have a full life as a nurse, professor, wife, daughter [daughter in law], sister, and mother. I love to read and love a thousand other lives by turning the pages in countless books.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide a review. Happy reading 🙂
I enjoyed most of this romance except it was too erotic for my taste. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I’ve given it a 4.5* rating and not for the under 18 readers. This was a pretty fast moving story centered around a hockey team and it’s owners. It has a lot of sarcastic humor and the concerns about head injuries.
Audible Review
Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars
My favorite of the series so far!
4.5*
Loved Nate and Becca’s love story! I loved the way their relationship grew- it evolved how it needed to evolve, without a lot of unnecessary drama or interference. They had a real friendship that made their coming together that much more special.
I really enjoyed how the first few chapters were interspersed with flashbacks, showing how Becca and Nate met- I wouldn’t have minded if that had happened throughout. It was a fun addition, like we were watching a story of their life, especially with the way it was narrated! And I will be checking for other books Joe Hempel has narrated. Virginia was great as Becca, and of course Mr. Webber can do no wrong.
It blows my mind that every time I start a new book in this series, I think the last one was my favorite but then I finish the current read and I’m like, nope, now I have a new favorite. Nate and Becca’s story kept me glued to my Kindle all day!! Their book is definitely my new fave of the Bruisers series!!
If you’re a fan of Sarina’s books, you’ve probably been waiting for this for a long time. I am happy to report this was worth the wait!
Nate is probably one of my favorite male hero’s Sarina has ever written. He’s a nerdy billionaire that owns a hockey team. I loved his drive and passion. He was a bit awkward, but I adored him. Becca has been with Nate from almost the beginning. She’s watched him go from a guy with a start-up company to a billionaire with a hockey team. She’s loyal, independent, and hard-working. She’s a character you can’t help but root for.
Both Nate and Becca are aware of the power imbalance that’s between them. I’m glad Nate never takes advantage of the fact that he’s Becca’s boss. Becca is always upfront about how she feels, and Nate was always so respectful.
This story switches back and forth between the past and present. I’m usually not a fan of this. I feel like authors sometimes spend way too much time in the past. Thankfully, Sarina doesn’t have too many chapters in the past. We mostly just get a look at how Nate and Becca meet, and their friendship develop a bit.
I’m also usually wary of books where characters have had feelings for each other for a long time. They usually have nothing going on in their lives besides this other person. But Nate and Becca have been living their lives to the fullest for the 7 years they’ve been friends. Seeing other people, furthering their careers, etc.
Honestly, this book just worked for me. I really don’t have any complaints about it. This was a quick and fun read, and I recommend it to romance fans! While this is a standalone, I’d recommend reading it after her Brooklyn Bruisers series if you’re planning on reading those books as this will spoil them for you.
Oh my god i loved this book so freaking much ,i have been waiting for Nate’s and Becca’s book forever! and it was worth the wait !!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg i am full on ass over head in love with Nate ,he is such an amazing guy ,he’s funny, smart, sexy and i need one of him in real life ! Nate has had a thing for Becca for 7 years and it’s taken him this long to finally try and see where it could go if she would just give him a chance 🙂 their super steamy night together shows Becca how much Nate wants her and when she finally says yes they go from 0 to 60 real quick 🙂 they are so prefect for each other ,they both have the same sense of humor and Becca totally gets Nate and how his brain works ,he’s a total catch !
Love Becca ,she’s so funny and she if one of the few people who can handle Nate 🙂 being friends for 8 years has made them close but the moment they hook up changes everything ,Becca pushes Nate away because she’s scared but it doesn’t last long because Nate is amazing and Becca’s feelings for him are all she can think about now that the cat is outta the bag 🙂 they make a great couple and i loved how their relationship unfolded and i was swooning majorly for them 🙂
I freaking love this series ! it brings 2 of the things i love together which is Hockey and Romance !
I normally don’t like when the book is written in first person but I gave it a few pages and I’m glad I did. Once I was into it, it was hard to put it down.
I’m a big hockey fan and that’s why I chose this book. I was not disappointed, the story blended enough sports with a good love story. It was a fast, witty read!
Great story
