A sexy new standalone from USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen. You’d think a billion dollars, a professional hockey team and a six-bedroom mansion on the Promenade would satisfy a guy. You’d be wrong. For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don’t know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is … night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.
When Rebecca gets hurt, I step in to help. It’s what friends do. But what friends don’t do is rip off each others’ clothes for a single, wild night together.
Now she’s avoiding me. She says we’re too different, and it can never happen again. So why can’t we keep our hands off each other?
I loved this fresh new twist on the billionaire storyline and the absolutely dreamy hero. Nate is everything I could ever want in a book boyfriend – he’s smart, confident, and completely smitten! Brooklynaire is sexy and addictive! #1 NYT Bestseller Lauren Blakely

Becca is the executive assistant to wicked smart billionaire Nate. She knew him before he his company went Fortune 500 and he bought a hockey team. Suddenly Nate is there, like never before, taking care of her. He pays all her medical bills and makes sure she gets the best possible medical treatment. Emotions long buried rise to the surface and Becca must decide if she can take their relationship to the next level.
Nate would be lost without Becca. She’s the one person who keeps him on schedule and his life in order. When she gets hurt, he’s at a loss. When did he fall in love with her? All he knows is that he can’t get her out of his system and his mind. Is it because she’s vulnerable or has Nate been blind all this time?
This was my first Sarina Bowen romance and I adored every second of it! Becca and Nate are such a fun couple with their own hang-ups and insecurities. Nate is not your average billionaire. He’s geeky with a brilliant mind. Most of the time, he’s focused on the next project, not on love. It was such fun to watch Nate realize how special Becca is and have him fight for her.
If you’re looking for your next book boyfriend, look no further than sexy Nate with the Einstein mind. *swoons*

Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen is a fantastic contemporary romance. Ms. Bowen has provided readers with a well-written book. The characters in this story are stellar. I totally love them. The book is written in first-person, alternating point of view format, that I normally hate, but the author made it work in this fun book. Rebecca had worked for Nate for years when he moved her to the hockey team that he owned. Nate steps in to make sure Rebecca is getting the rest she needs to heal after she falls on the ice. Rebecca and Nate’s story is filled with drama, humor, sizzle and misunderstandings. I enjoyed reading Brooklynaire and look forward to reading more from Sarina Bowen in the future. Brooklynaire is book 4 of the Brooklyn Bruisers Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Who doesn’t love a friends-to-lovers or work romances. If you have been following the series, you already know Nate is the owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers and Becca is his trusty PA that makes sure things run smoothly in their Brooklyn franchise.
Before becoming a self-made billionaire, Nate was your typical nerd/geek. Becca came to work for Nate seven years ago at his tech company while he was still starting off his programming company. She quit college to help her mother and now her younger sister. Now said younger sister is living with her, her baby and her baby daddy in her small apartment. Although Becca always had a crush on her boss, she never dreamed of anything but unrequited love from afar. She’s a hard worker for sure, little did you know, Nate was pining over her for the last seven years.
Becca suffers a concussion at work and must take off from her grueling job, but she’s not understanding why her headaches will not go away, until Nate saves the day and schedules her an appointment with a top neurologist. Becca is not happy not working during this time, she feels her job is on the line, but that’s further from the truth as far as Nate can see it. When Becca finds out Nate’s true feelings, well the sexy times were through the roof, but she wanted to keep their relationship a secret. I mean, I can’t blame, the last thing you want to be known is the boss’s gal pal and getting special treatment.
Their love for hockey and palindromes made this story all the more fun to read. I know a lot of readers could not wait to read their story and even if you haven’t read the other books in the series, I don’t think you will be lost. I say this all the time about Sarina Bowen, and it still holds true, she can’t do no wrong in my reading world.
From start to finish and with every little detail in between I was in love with Nate and Rebecca and and their story. Absolutely fantastic. I think this is Sarina Bowen’s best work to date!
My Rating:
Type: Standalone
Genre: Contemporary Fiction Romance, Office Romance
Primary Characters: Rebecca & Nate
Narration: Dual POV
I didn’t realize it was part of Brooklyn bruiser’s series until I finished reading this. You don’t have to read other books in series as it’s a standalone. I picked this up as I was in mood for some Office Romance Subgenre. This even has a backdrop of friends to lover’s romances. I loved this book as the characters felt realistic.
This is Nate and Becca’s story. Nate’s a tech billionaire and owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers NFL team. Becca was his assistant for many years from when his company was just a start up and now helps him run the Bruiser team. Rebecca seems oblivious to Nate’s attraction. Rebecca thinks they are just friends. Even though she’s attracted to Nate, she thinks he is off limits to her and never act on it. When Becca injures her head on the ice, Nate steps in to help take care of her.
Tables turn when Nate simply can’t hold back anymore with his attraction and plans to act on it. It might ruin their long-standing friendship and complicate their work relationship, too. The transition from employee to friends and then to lovers was seamless.
I liked the way they bantered and their love for palindrome. I’m in love with Bingley. Wish I had a AI Like that . Writing style and narration was good. Characters and instances in book felt so realistic. Loved all those secondary characters.
Overall, this is a great boss/employee story. Full of just the right amount of everything. I found this love story appealing and recommend to those who are into office AND sports romances. It’s a very enjoyable, solid, sweet read.

This was my first ever Sarina Bowen book and I am now completely obsessed. I will for sure be going and reading all her other books because I loved this so much!
Nate is the CEO of a tech company (similar to Apple) and the owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team. Becca is his assistant and has been for the last 7 years since before the company was really big. However, a couple of years ago Nate sent Becca to work as the manager of his hockey team. She is so confused and thinks of it as a demotion but doesn’t know why she was given it.
When Becca gets a head injury after slipping and falling on the ice, Nate is there to take care of her even though Becca doesn’t want him to. She wants to go back to work but Nate tells her she needs to relax and has her stay at his house in order for her to get some peace and quiet since Becca’s sister, sister’s boyfriend, and the sister’s baby live with her.
Becca and Nate both try to avoid their feelings for each other. Becca especially struggles not wanting to break their boss/ assistant relationship but one night they can’t ignore their feeling for each other anymore and then everything between them changes.
This book was so cute and Nate and Becca together were just perfect. I loved the pace that was set in this book I think it progressed perfectly. There were times when I just wanted to shake Becca and tell her to be with Nate but I loved the angst of trying to keep their feelings to themselves. I also thought the amount of hockey in this book was perfect. It wasn’t too much to make you miss the romance but it was just enough for the characters to bond over and for the reader to feel connected to the team and want them to succeed.
I can’t wait to read more Sarina Bowen books and to go back and read all the Brooklyn Bruisers books now that I’ve had a cameo of them in this book!
‘Brooklynaire’ is the 4th novel in the ‘Brooklyn Bruisers’ series but it can be read as a standalone. It feels like I have been waiting for this book forever Nate and Becca’s story was one of the most anticipated releases of 2018 for me and I am proud to say it was so worth the wait!
For the people who are not familiar with ‘Brooklyn Bruisers’ series let me give a little bit of the back-story. Nate Kattenberger is a billionaire tech genius and also the owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team. Rebecca Rowley, is the office manager of Brooklyn Bruisers. She started to work with Nate before he became the famous tech billionaire everybody knows. Since the beginning of the series especially after the third book I was really curious about Nate and Becca’s story since their attraction for each other was really obvious. Nate is sweet, protective, nerdy and caring. When Becca falls on the ice and injures herself, he does everything to take care of her. Becca is genuine, sassy, strong and independent. After her injury doctors cannot figure out exactly what is wrong with her and the unknown and not being able to go back to work starts to drive her crazy. Nate being there to help and support her, helps her to relax a bit but also confuses her. Since Nate bought the Brooklyn Bruisers and transfer Becca as a office manager two years ago, they don’t get a chance to spend as much of time as before. But her injury gives them a chance to spend time just like they used to. Their connection is so sweet and strong. They get each other like no one else. Their nerdy tendencies, jokes and palindromes are hilarious. I am not going to give more details about their friends to lover story but it was sweet, sexy and funny. As for the side characters you will get a chance to see bits and pieces of the characters from the previous books but there is a new addition, Bingley and let me tell you this, you will fall in love with him. I want a Bingley in my life too
If you are looking for a sweet, sexy and funny story that you can easily read in one sitting Brooklynaire is just for you. I loved this book and this is my favorite book in the series. I am also hoping that more books of the series will come. Maybe Silas or Castro? Since it matches with the book I wanted to conclude my post with palindromes but unfortunately I am not that creative so I used google. If they are not that original, please don’t be disappointed

Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen was the fourth book in the Brooklyn Bruisers series. The series is fast becoming one of my favorite series with Bowen as one of my favorite authors.
Nate Kattenberger was the brilliant billionaire owner of the Brooklyn Bruisers NHL hockey team. Rebecca Rowley was the beautiful, independent office manager for the Bruisers. She’s worked for Nate for seven years. They’ve been prominent in all of the previous books. We knew they had off the charts chemistry but we also knew they were oblivious. Brooklynaire finally gave us what we wanted by taking us back to the humble beginning, then dropping us in the middle of their current sparks to then propelling us forward to something more tangible.
I fell in love with both characters. Nate was a hard working, focused, nerdy genius. He was also gorgeous and humorous – in his own geeky way. I loved everything about him. The same for Rebecca. She was perfect for Nate and although not a genius, she was smart and the perfect mix of snarky for Nate.
I loved the storyline and the creative way that Bowen took us from past to present. It’s a common format, but Bowen added her own clever spin to make it fresh and enjoyable. All in all, it was well written, well developed, humorous, sexy, and an overall great addition to the series.
Bowen wrote with her usual flair to include the hockey details, which I loved. I’m not sure her next direction for the series – maybe Heidi Jo and Castro, together or separate stories?? – regardless, I eagerly look forward to what’s next.
In the meantime, please let there be a story on Stew. If it doesn’t fit with the Bruisers, then it’s worthy of a spin off. Let’s do an entire series on the nerdy genius hunks from Kattenberger Technologies!
2019 Update: The author made a change for this as the first book in the Brooklyn series apparently pulling it out of the Brooklyn Bruisers series.
I have been wanting this story for so long!! I’ve seen Nate and Rebecca dance around each other in the Brooklyn Bruisers series. I adore Nate and his socially awkward, computer nerdy ways. I really enjoyed the flashbacks, where we get to see the start of their work relationship as well as the start of Nate’s company. The way Nate is so protective of her and always puts her needs first is so endearing. Side note: The sibling like relationship between Nate and Lauren is super cute and entertaining. And I want a Bingley! And I really enjoyed all the palindromes. Loved this book.
11/04/2020 I very much enjoyed the romance in “Brooklynaire” (nook). Nate is a sexy “nerd” with a good heart. Rebecca is dependable. The ice hocky is a wonderful background for the slow growing love between Nate and Rebecca. The flashbacks were a good way to fill-in the background.
Sarina Bowen is another good author of romance… her books are steamy but always a good storyline
This is a good book.
Loved this book!!! Would read it again and again.
This was one of the first romances I ever read, and I wasn’t sure if it would hold up to a re-read…but it totally did. Her illness, however temporary, spoke to my chronically-ill soul and Nate is still just the best. Still a fav.
Great read
It is a decent read.
Great read.
What a nice guy! As a boss, he was considerate. As a friend, he sometimes stepped back when she could have used him the most. She loves hockey and managing the Brooklyn team. She finally realizes why he invested in the team. They work it out.
Really enjoyed this book.
The best in the series!
