Picking up where we left off with Book 1 (Yes you need to read that first), I read clean on through because I NEEDED to know how it all turned out. Never a dull moment, I was swept away, turning pages eagerly into the night, plowing right through the story. Not for the faint of heart, it will smash your hearts and flowers, but still give you a ton of massive feels. It’s raw, real, and heart thrashing!! I really enjoyed this couple’s story!!

Broken Trust begings right after the cliffhanger of Shattered Lies. This is the second book in a duet and cannot be read asa standalone.
Dark, Steamy, erotic, love triangle, suspense, action packed and Forbidden Love this book has it all to keep you hooked.
Not only was I engrossed with the main protagonist but the sub characters and Andrew also caught my attention.
Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off, so you will need to have read book 1 first. Elaina is trying to recover from losing Joshua, while the boys are trying to keep her safe from an unknown danger. So much twistedness, angst, and love. This was a great conclusion to wrap up her story, but leads you into another story for Abel. This is a great series!
This book was so amazing, heartbreaking, emotional.

I seriously could not wait to jump into the second book in this series. The first one had me hooked and this one? All the way absorbed. I was meant to be cooking Christmas dinner but…I may have claimed a tummy ache and locked myself in the bathroom for an hour, just so I ould read it without interruptions.

I loved her in book 1, but in this one, she feckin’ rocked even more.

I read this directly after reading book 1 in the duet and this book 2 is just as brilliant as the first one. Lots of emotion in this story and it’s deliciously dark. I enjoyed it so much that I went ahead and purchased the ebook. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

This conclusion to Eliana’s story was perfect! The secrets revealed were mind blowing. The suspense was crazy. The characters in this world have stolen my heart. And the ending was amazing! Eliana ended up with exactly who I wanted her to from the beginning. I can’t wait for more stories from this fantastic world Winter Paige has created!

There is no character development at all and too many names beginning with the letter J, Joshua, Jonah, Jaxx. The H Costin doesn’t have any redeeming qualities. Not worth your time.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Eiliana and the people that are in her life Jax, Costin, Abel, Joshua and Andrew her father and all the emotions. Book two took off where book one finished.

What a Great Ending…………..or is it really over?
Broken Trust is the second book in the Devastation Duet. It starts where Shattered Lies ends and boy does it continue the story. As with Shattered Lies the author has maintained the same level of attention to detail of both the story-line and the characters. It is well written with a number of twists and unexpected things happen which continued the emotion and element of danger and intrigue.
This is a must read duet!!!

This is book two of the “Devastation Duet” and can NOT be read as a stand alone. This was the continuation and ending of Eliana’s story. What I noticed at the end of the book is their will be more books attached telling some of our favorites stories. I am so pumped about this!!
This book was so freaking good!! I am still in awe that this was the authors debut duet. I ate these two books up. I read them in less then 24 hours. I couldn’t put them down if I wanted to.
The characters get more complex in this book (didn’t think that was even possible), more secrets are revealed, crazy shit keeps happening and my favorite part love wins!!
I have read in some reviews how Eliana annoys people and yada yada. Usually I am one of those people BUT I didn’t feel that way at all. How can you be angry that a girl that climbed out of the depths of hell decides she will embrace being spoiled. I love it. The strength she posses between both of these books is amazing. I love her. The boys (Abel included) are fucking wonderful. So much love for one girl. Abel was a big surprise to me I fell pretty hard for his ass shaking self. Maybe the biggest shock is that place I reserved for the monster, Andrew. I saw more to it. Man I could go on for days about all of these characters.
This book was written just as flawless as the last and I couldn’t even find one issue in the writing. I am still in fucking shock that this is an authors debut novel. Not only was the writing superb but the story line was engaging and original. The path may be a little twisted and dark but it makes for one hell of a happily ever after at the end. Dont hesitate read this damn duet NOW!!

Broken Trust for me was incredible! I just thought WTH is with Eliana! I fell in love with her in Shattered Lies, and in Broken Trust I thought I misread at first, but NOPE I read it correctly. When she “snuck” out to rendezvous with Jonah……well my heart plummeted and soared at the same time. I was confused as I thought that virtue meant something to her. I realized why as it became clear but honestly I was a bit disappointed with this decision, but I am not the writer. I also believe that Winter has a plan for EACH of the ‘BOYS’ and this was just the BEGINNING or at least I HOPE SO! You have become a resounding author and I loved this DUET. I hope in the future that you bring more from this universe to the light.

This story picks up where Shattered Lies leaves off with our heroine wondering how she’s supposed to continue while her world is falling apart around her. She’s admittedly spoiled and strong willed, but she’s got a heart of gold and doesn’t understand why everything she wants in her life is taken away. The drama continues to unfold as we find out who her father, Andrew, really is and what lengths he’ll go to in order to complete the the plans he’s had set in motion for years. But we find out he doesn’t have as tight a grip on his business as he thought he did, and there are things going on in the background even he didn’t know about.
And when trouble brews, we discover just how far her Cos, Jaxx, Abel, and even her father will go to make sure she makes it home safe. It’s a love story, a story that lead us into the underbelly of life, a story of trust, and a story of a girl just trying to find her way in a world that keeps on changing.
This author is one to watch. Her stories are painful and realistic with a taste of humor and an honest gritty look at the ugly, seedy side of the mob. She writes of lost characters who are looking for a way to survive. She opens doors and pulls not punches. And it makes me want to read her books all the more. I’m looking forward to reading more, and I think we’ve just gotten a taste of what this author is truly capable of.
The good character and storyline development kept me totally glued to my kindle throughout the entire book!
This second installment took place with Eliana waking up from a drug induced stupor a few months after losing Joshua. Weakened, angry, and determined to make a grand statement, she fled the only family she trusted.
Betrayed, lied to, and distraught, her fighting spirit didn’t disappoint.
While I abhor cheating, Eliana does a lot of hookups with men who are in love or half in love with her, I never hated her for it. Interestingly enough, neither did Jaxx, Costin, or Abel.
The whole story continued to revolve around Eliana and their intense sacrificial love for her even though many mistakes were made. I loved the focus they had for her, and in turn her deep loyalty to them even through the lies and secrets.
As many triggers in this episode as the first, but thankfully more tastefully written than other horrific dark romances. Enough detail to paint the evil pictures of abuse, but none of the graphic details that aren’t really needed when the author is as talented as this one.
A satisfying HFN with more to come.

OMG this book had me hooked from the moment I opened it! I feel like I know Eliana, Cos, Jaxx, Abel… hell, even Andrew grew on me. I thought I had the story figured out a few times, but I was wrong each time. There was a lot going on in this period of Eliana’s life. I laughed, I cried, I felt each emotion as she went through them.
As with Shattered Lies, there were some subject matter that bothered me, but it absolutely did not stop me from reading the entire book in one day. There were redeeming qualities in each character, some qualities that made me love them, while others made me hate them. I wanted, no I needed to keep reading to see if love prevailed or if evil put out that flame. I cannot wait to read spin off series of books!
Winter Paige, you definitely have a way with words that made me visualize what I was reading as if it were a movie!
