First he lied to me.Then he seduced me.Now he’s broken me.I knew him as a boy, but now the boy is back—a hardened criminal.Big as hell. Blindingly beautiful. Sexy as sin.Dripping with attitude. Covered in ink.And carrying a colossal chip on his shoulder.I want to keep my distance. Needing to protect myself and my virginity. He’s awakening parts of me that I never knew were dormant. Ruining me for … parts of me that I never knew were dormant.
Ruining me for any other man.
I should have known that nothing this good would be healthy for me.
He’s a liar. A thief. A convict. A deviant.
I need to walk away from this man who’s breaking me piece by piece.
Only my heart is not cooperating.

Character development:
The heroine: Ariana Carter (a.k.a. Tiny) – She is an ER Nurse that lives with her father Nate. Her father has his old friend’s son coming to stay with them when he gets out of prison. Tiny is not too happy about that.
The Hero(es): Michael Barringer (a.k.a. Stone) – Did a stint in prison for Heroin Possession and intent to distribute. He steals the Heroin from drug dealers and dumps it in the river, but he was caught with a large quantity that belonged to this guy named Bucky. Bucky approaches Stone in Prison and tells him that his father and his father’s friend Nate used to work with him. He tells Stone that if he doesn’t pay him back for the Heroin he stole, his life expectancy won’t be long
The Story: Bucky tells Stone to go stay with Nate and find out where Nate hid seven million dollars that he stole from Bucky. He tells Stone that if he can’t find the money, Stone is supposed to make Ariana fall in love with him then break her heart.
However, when Stone agrees to Bucky’s plan he doesn’t feel bad about what he is going to do to them. He grew up in foster care until his Dad, Jack adopted him and when Jack died Stone was only eighteen and couldn’t afford to keep the house and partially blames Nate for not being there for him.
Ariana is a virgin and Stone is the big bad boy who was in prison for five years so there is a ton of sexual tension and a few very steamy scenes. The book itself wasn’t long, but I liked the end and I would like to read more from the series.
The narration was good. I thought both the male and female narrator had perfect voices for Stone and Tiny. The only thing I really didn’t like was that Ariana was a “Curvy” girl. The nickname Tiny was a sarcastic nickname from her high school years because she is the opposite of Tiny. I hate it when books focus on how the heroine is “Chubby” or “Curvy”. I think the weight of the heroine should not be mentioned at all that way readers who like the BBW and “Curvy” girls can picture that in their heads and readers who like to picture a thin girl can picture that.
This is the third book in The King Brother Series, and the story of Stone, and Ariana. Stone, and Ariana knew each other as kids, when stone gets released from prison, he comes back into Ariana’s life. Stone, and Ariana have an immediate spark, but she knows he’s bad news. Will Ariana listen to her heart, or her head when is come to this bad boy? This was an entertaining read, the characters are well written, and have great chemistry. This book was emotional, steamy, dramatic, twisted, and intense.
Broken by a King is the third in the series about the world of the Kings, and it’s a great one!
Stone’s sins have finally come home bite him in the ass. When the man from whom he stole $7 million in heroin tells him he either gets that money for him, by a very specific way, or he dies, Stone knows he has to do it. He doesn’t expect to fall in love with his mark, Ariana, (Tiny), nor does he really want to break her as he’s been instructed, but it’s either that or he dies. What will Stone do? And will Ariana really fall for the bad boy?
Broken by a King seems to have a tenuous connection to the rest of the King world, and it wasn’t until the end when it’s revealed who Stone is to them, but it’s still a great story, full of steamy passion and suspense and intrigue. I’m hoping there’s more to come for Stone and Tiny and the rest of the Kings, because this series has only gotten better with each release.
Broken By A King by Lisa Lang Blakeney is book Three in The King Brothers series. This is the story of Michael “Stone’ and Ariana ‘Tiny’. Stone’s adopted father Tiny’s father were best of friends and wanted their kids to be as close as blood. But Stone ended up stealing millions of dollars of Heroin from Silas Buckshot Porter. Stone served 5 years in White Pines Penitentiary for getting caught by the cops for having it. Near the time he was to get out Silas came to see him letting him know that the only way to pay him back for the heroin was either his life, the money value or to trick Nate’s daughter Tiny into thinking he was into her and break her heart. Nate came to pick him up when he got out but Stone just had plans of taking his money to satisfy Silas but things started changing when he got to know Adrian again.
Really enjoyed their story!
This story is amazing, I loved everything about it. The way the characters are tied into each other and into the kings brothers just had me all types of amazed. This story is different then the other the Alpha male was more loving and caring. The way it unfolded right before my eyes had me biting my nails on every page along with sitting on the edge of my chair. I loved Stone and Tiny they just fit really well together, the chemistry was just like magic with them. I felt like it ended on a small cliffy and Now i cant wait to see what is next. Lisa did an outstanding job with this story, totally blew my mind from each page right till the end. I craved more once it was over.
**I received this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, this is all me, myself and I**
