Omg, this book!!!
This was my first read by Evan Grace and I read the last word and immediately found her on social media to message her!! I could not believe what I just read!
This is a must read book, more than once I’d say!!
Heart shattering. I think that is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to this story. This is one story full of utter heartbreak but also rediscovery of yourself after going through something so tragic. There are moments you want to yell but you want to cry because of how much these two fight but heal each other.
Brylee is such a shattered person. I could only imagine the pain that she went through. Add the pain from Chase and it is such an explosion. There are some heartbreaking moments as these navigate their healing from such a tragic accident. Then that twist. OMG that twist at the end. My heart shattered. I was literally going omg what just happened!!!
One thing you can guarantee from Grace is a heartfelt story. It feels like real life happening and it really makes you feel and think. I honestly would highly recommend this book if you want a book that makes you feel it all!
4.5 Stars
Holy Crap on a Shingle… What in the world just happened? I’m still taking deep breaths and blowing into my brown paper bag… My head is spinning from what just went down. Way TO Go Evan Grace!!!! You nailed that explosion.
What a book to pop my Evan Grace Cherry with! What an emotional journey I just went on. This book, my hands are still shaking…can’t even begin to put down how this story got to me.
A super sad story to read about what happens to loved ones, family members, friends, etc. when something horrible happens. But with sadness all around, there comes a time when you must stop living in the past and live for the future. Because everyone deserves a future…no matter what the past dealt them.
A story of losing everything, losing hope, losing the ability to live and just hoping that one day, forgiveness will be had.
This story was definitely different than anything I have ever read. It’s beautifully dark, edgy and gritty and definitely one that will stay with me for a while. Evan Grace did such an amazing job bringing the problems of guilt and grief between two characters and made me feel their gut wrenching pain and love with them.
The story of Brylee took me to that dark hole she was in and gutted me while in it. Chase and his grief took me down a different but equally as dark kind of space where his hot rage and need for revenge made my heart hurt. Two families destroyed by one tragic event and the road to forgiveness and redemption is anything but easy. Everyone deals with trauma differently before we can heal.
Evan Grace messed me up with this beautiful story and has me in a puddle of mush from this book hangover. That epic unexpected end has me twisted in the best way. The scale needs a special kind of rating for a book like this where 5 stars are just not enough! Broken Souls is definitely the perfect title for this must read story and that amazing cover depicts exactly how you feel after reading this. Loved every moment of it and would definitely read again.
This book is definitely going to give me a book hangover. I am an emotional wreck after reading this and just don’t know what so say in my review other than Evan Grace broke me! This one will be staying in Utah me for a long time.
