Aya is a princess who happily lives in a tower being pampered and taken care of, oblivious to the fact that the people of the kingdom suffer at the hands of the king, her uncle.
Kazriel, a God, who wakes to find the people suffering decides to make Aya pay for this by giving her a taste of the suffering they endured.
Loki’s books are always hot and fantastic to read. This book has a different spin to her stories, as it’s a bit mythical, but still an awesome story!
I am a huge Loki Renard fan but Broken Princess didn’t hit the mark for me. I read it and did enjoy some points but it seemed to go too fast. The characters are strong and I seemed to get the hang of Princess Aya, Kazriel, and the Uncle’s connection but like I said before once the story really started going it seemed to be over.
Broken Princess won’t stop me from reading more of Loki of course. And please read this story yourself, as you might find it a wonderful and well worth your time.
The characters are well developed and engaging with a storyline that flowed smoothly and kept me turning the pages to read the next steps to the drama of the hot chemistry.

Loved the book, the story was well written. Loki Renard has never written anything I didn’t like. The characters in the book were great, I liked Princess Aya she had to rectified the problems her uncle did, he stood in as King and was very evil. Kazriel had to listen to the people, so he had to train Princess Aya how to be Queen and listen to the people.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

This is one of my favourite authors and she is amazing at describing the world where her story takes place. She also spends time with the main characters, ensuring that they are fully developed and fit in perfectly to their role within the plot. I really enjoyed this story and have yet to read a book by her that I didn’t enjoy. The plot is well thought out and presented so that I was able to follow along and have a relaxing couple of hours in the mystical world that the author created.

She is not above the law either
—>>> Princess Aya knows nothing but a way of life by existence at the mercy of her uncle, King Vengar, a crazed and cruel despot. Called from his mountain slumber, Kazriel appears before all the kingdom of Norvangir to deal with the corruption which has run rampant. Aya is given a chance to learn the right ways of ruling under the unrelenting tutelage of her guardian, this deity come to life. Once his purposes with Aya are achieved, however, he returns from whence he came. And Aya is at the mercy of those who would like to knock her off the throne again.
A hot fantasy story of a God whose will has never been so tested by a mere slip of a mortal and a righting of wrongs done.
Not Broken but Transformed
I loved Loki’s attention to detail in the storyline and the depictions of the characters and the world building. Aya has seen much in her life and lived with her brutish Uncle, the King. She is just trying to survive. Finally the savior God Kazriel awakens upon hearing the sorrow of the people of the land. He shames the King and casts him out to begin the training of Aya to be Queen. Aya doesn’t anticipate a love for Kazriel and neither does he. Her love changes him. He has met his match and she is no push over. There is a very prominent D/s storyline in this book. I liked this book.
Aya is facing Kazriel and having to atone for the sins done to her people. She knew the horrors happening and didn’t seek him out to help.
As Kazriel has her and works with her she gets more and more confused but as she figures out what she must do and changes that need to be made her feelings grow.
Will she truly understand why he is there and accept her fate?

This book was intensifying! It was hot and steamy. It was deeply erotic. The chemistry between Kazriel and Aya was undeniably fulfilling. Between the spankings and the sex it will keep you crying for more! Loki Renard hit a home run with this one!
This is the first time I read from this author and it was amazing. Hooked me from beginning to end. I’ve got to read more from this author.

An erotic fairytale!
by sewsummore
This was a strange tale of a King who was evil, ruthless and without remorse and was overthrown by the country’s immortal god Kazriel. In his place was Princess Aya, niece of the former King. Totally unsuited and unprepared to rule, it is left to Kazriel to teach and train her for the task she is to undertake. Her innocence drew him and before long he fell under her spell and impregnated her with his seed. In doing so his strength was lost and he was forced to leave Aya to rule alone. There is more to the story but you will have to read the book. This book may read as a fairy tale, but nothing could be further from the truth. This book incorporates spankings, forced sex, humiliation and erotic behavior that at times is shocking but still these form an intregral part of the story. I enjoyed reading this book and if you are a follower of Loki’s and enjoy her books this book will not disappoint.

Wow this is one very odd read – but I just couldn’t put it down! Some of it is so beautifully written that I wanted to cry but in others it was so lusty i could feel my kindle over heating!
It’s a twisted, weird, wonderful read which totally sucked me in! It kept me in my toes and I never knew what was going to happen next!
Riveting!
I love how this author elevates a story like this newest release for her adult audience. It was sensual, hot and so much more than your typical fairytale like that did not disappoint. I enjoyed the dark elements and the characters connection. Another must read story with an intresting storyline.
For Aya being a princess has it trials, her Uncle rules and she was nothing but a face and a spoiled figurehead. When Kazriel was summoned by her people because of her Uncle’s atrocities to their people, she learns some tough lessons what being a ruler means and begins a fairytale love that could be told through the ages. A fast read well written with a flair only Loki Renard can provide, enjoyed it and so will you.
Princess Aya finds out with the guilty sentence that she is not above the Law. Her Uncle King Vengar is a cruel and crazy psychopath. The people are praying to the statue Kazriel for deliverance from the evil King. He goes to the Kingdom of Norvangir to teach the princess the right way to rule. I love reading Loki Renard’s books. They are so refreshing and you can always count on a good plot, lots of dark sex. No different here.

So phenomenally and compellingly dark and twisted, just when I thought I had a handle on this story, it morphed into something more. It is deep and dark, mythical and tragic, but refreshing at the same time. I wanted to hate Aya, but she had some valid points too when she argued that she was a victim too. Kazriel . . . that guy . . . he is a special kind of diety, it took me a while to appreciate him though. The hero’s journey that Aya takes in this story is marginalized though because in the end….well, you have to read it,….but I just think if you are going to have such an epic hero’s journey for the female, she wouldn’t be placed in a subservient role when she has clearly saved herself. You’ll see. It’s the only negative thing I can say about this otherwise fabulous story that has the heat, the violence, the kink and the love scenes that come alive on the page. Yeah, I don’t know if I can emphasize enough how much I recommend that you should be reading this book.
First of all, let me say this; I hope Loki Renard eventually turns this masterpiece into a series! I want more of this world, the characters, and future generations. Ok, that being said, time for the review of this book. A tyrannical king who has committed every type of cide possible to keep the line of succession from happening.
A princess who’s been allowed to live under her Uncle’s rule with the merciless rules and laws he’s set in place for the kingdom. She’s been kept ignorant and unschooled on the responsibilities of her blood to the kingdom. Practically speaking, she’s rather like an ostrich; staying hidden from the rest of the kingdom in her own bubble while burying her head under the covers when she’s nervous or scared.
A once powerful deity who has tales told of how he came to the rescue and protected a kingdom. Those suffering under their heavy yokes and treated unfairly pray and cry at the his statue daily with no reprieve in sight.
This is the world Loki Renard has created a world with characters so full of personality the entire had me sucked in and enchanted from the very beginning. The adventure, the mysticism, the ultimate good vs. evil was just phenominal.
Princess Aya is sheltered from her peoples suffering under the rule of her evil uncle. Kazriel is a God that the people have prayed for to make things right. He plans to show Aya the suffering of her people and turn her into an empathetic queen. Spankings, torture and public exhibition are parts of her training. A sexy good read.
It’s not often that I read a dark, steamy story and get something that touches me on an emotional level, but this one did just that. It was also done in a way that didn’t throw me out of the darkness and passion of the relationship between Aya and Kazriel. That’s all I’m going to say about the plot. Instead, I’m going to gush about the heat level, the passion, and the lessons that Aya needs to learn. Aya has a lot to learn about what it means to be a princess and I loved every second of her eye-opening experiences. If heat, humiliation, spanking, and sexiness is your thing than this is the perfect read for you.
